Summary: Is it possible to only give this movie 5 stars?
Review: Couldn't we get a couple more stars for it? If you haven't seen this movie (how could that possibly be?) do yourself a favor and SEE IT! This has got to be the best movie musical ever made. If you are a fan of wonderful singing, staging, and especially DANCING - this is the movie for you! If you need more than Gene Kelly and Donald O'Connor for your dancing thrills - then maybe your standards are a tad too high. This is the BEST!

Summary: The Best Movie Ever Created!
Review: Gene Kelly not only stars in this heartwarming, original movie, but he choreographed every dance sequence. This is a true work of art and proof that a genius can come in any form. Beautiful dancing, wonderful acting and an all around perfect story. Gene Kelly dances effortlessly, expressing his joy with each tap and leap. His grace is incredible and thrilling to watch. We are lucky that such a talented man ever blessed us with his vast abilities...the world will miss his masculine approach to dance and the sheer delight that we feel each time his smiling face comes on the screen.

Summary: Best movie of all time!
Review: If I could rate this movie with 50 stars, I would! My favorite movie of all time, Singing in the Rain has love, hate, humor, seriousness, history, action, dancing, and everything else possible. I could watch this movie 500 times in a row, and still not tire of the songs, dancing and relationships that develop throughout this film. A real winner!

Summary: The best musical I have ever seen!
Review: If you are looking for a great family film, a timeless classic, or just an impressive musical, this is a film for you!

Summary: Wonderful, delightful, full of fantastic music
Review: Singin' in the Rain is a classic musical. There is no where else you can see this kind of music and fanominal dancing. I recommend it to everyone who loves musicals. It is also #10 on the top 100 movies of the century from the American Film Institute.

Summary: wonderful family film
Review: I've always loved this movie and bought a copy of it years ago. It didn't occur to me until a snowed-in evening last winter, though, that kids might like it, too. Our 8 yr old daughter was enchanted (though a bit bored by the long-ish "Gotta Dance" number). This film would certainly make my All Time Top 10 Favorites list.

Summary: It's as good as the reviews say it is...
Review: I watched Singin' in the the Rain with our daughters, age 5 and 7. It was good to watch something with them that I didn't have to worry might "harm their little ears and eyes". Before it was over, they had rushed off to get hold of their "dancing clothes", tights etc. and they were trying to dance like the players in the movie. I had never seen this movie before. It shows what real dancin' is all about!

The colour is gorgeous and the great music is reproduced quite well in DVD with a fair degree of punch. This is a movie I'll want to see again, and the girls will too!

Summary: Perfect in every way!
Review: This film is just flawless! I recommend it to everyone! END

Summary: An eye-popping good time!
Review: If you love musicals of any sort, buy this DVD! The 50's colors come alive in the DVD transfer. You'll find it hard to believe a "classic" movie can look this good on your TV. And the movie itself is so much fun; so much more than the justifiably famous "Singin' in the Rain" Gene Kelly number. A great movie for kids and anyone who wants to have a good time. END

Summary: Thoroughly entertaining musical
Review: I have to say first of all that I am *not* at all a fan of musicals (or comedies for that matter) - I am a drama fan. I have seen a few musicals here and there over the years and tried to like them - such as 1964's "My Fair Lady" and 1961's "West Side Story." I liked both of them *somewhat,* but not too much - because I have always strongly preferred films that are realistic --> in real life, people don't burst into song when they are in one particular circumstance or another. Yet, I couldn't help enjoying myself with a smile on my face as I watched this film that landed so high (#10) on AFI's list of the top 100 American films of all time. Donald O'Connor, in particular, as Cosmo, was so perfectly cast in his role. The film was at times hilarious and at times wonderfully romantic. I definitely would recommend everyone to try this film out. B+.
