Summary: Turn off those microwave lights!!
Review: Considering this was filmed in 1984 in a live wild punk rock set the film is well done. The stage lighting was awful. The sound was ok, drums sound just made the cut and Jello's voice while performing was cut, no heard, muffed...a typical show. A must for fans. Not the best set, but classic Jello. Do recommend but don't expect quality DVD, do expect DK on DVD. Ah, the stereo sound also did it good. Not the video, they had four camera persons filming at the same time, I do not feel that this was NOT taken advantage of. Ah, Punk rock how you now elude me... poor sod.

Summary: Real Punk
Review: I was 13 when I saw this tour. My friends dad knew that my parents wouldn't let me go because it was Punk and very violent. This was back in the days of slam dancing, not the dorky "moshing" that you see now. I'm talking about hardcore punk, people were diving off of the speakers into the tightly packed crowd, one of the local punk record dealers slipped in a puddle of vomit and his prosthetic leg came off only to be thrown around until Jello stopped the show to ask that the leg be returned(it was promptly thrown on stage and the madness started up again). This was punk, real punk, like the sissy punk groups today that are more like top 40 (Green Day, Ranic etc.). The music was fast, loud, politicaly inspired and hardcore, what punk is supposed to be.

If you were there or want to know what punk really is, this would be the real deal.

Summary: Punk Rock at one of its best....
Review: I've been an avid fan of the early Punk Rock movement since the early eighties. At 36, I still love Flipper. I bought the Dead Kennedys' DVD on a whim. I was more than pleased. This DVD captures a moment that should bring a smile to any Punker, young or old. The sound was far better than I had expected - during Nazi Punks, it did drop off a bit. Nonetheless, the show is full of energy, angst, and humor. I longed to be on the floor stage-diving with the crowd. This DVD is a must have for any true collector of Punk. I would go so far as to say that anyone who has a true interest in the art of music should add this DVD to their collection. I am comfortable in stating that this DVD can and does compare to Pink Floyd's VHS, " Live at Pompeii". What you experience is art, not just a regurgitation of notes and sounds.

Summary: Dead Kennedys Rule Forever
Review: O.K. i just got this DVD today and i haven't had the time to watch it that much, only a couple of songs and i have to say it is a great DVD. As other reviewers say, the quality is not that good, hence the 4 stars, but it's a great way to see Dead Kennedys at their best. The video isn't that good and during the songs sometimes the mic goes off, but those were the good times, when nothing was perfect, and punk was about making a statement, not selling a million albums.

Summary: Only if you love your Jello
Review: Pretty crummy quality, but we're talking about a 20 year old film shot in a punk rock club so what do you expect?

If you're a big DKs fan, you'll enjoy this chance to see Jello's wacky antics, and it's interesting to see the mid-80s punk crowd. If you're not a big fan, you'll probably think this sucks.

Summary: BUZZBOMB!
Review: this DVD is great, it sounds clear and loud and the pictures so much sharper than the video version... The gig itself should not be judged as a visual record of a music performance, but as a piece of sheer punk rock comic book theatre. The DVD perfectly captures the explosion of pure energy that is the DK's... Watching Biafra launch and spin and bomb about the stage makes you feel like smashing up your living room and eating your next door neighbours dog. Buy it NOW or face a harsh existence of failed sexual encounters, and cold, cold regret.

Summary: DK's - DMPO's on Broadway
Review: This is pretty much a must have for DK fans. Pretty good visual and sound quality for 1984. Not the best playlist but a really good concert. It gives a really good perspective of the Dead Kennedy's in concert during their prime.
