Summary: Earth Wind & Fire still shining stars
Review: Maurice and the crew are still spreading there universal message of love & peace. I miss the original line up with Larry Dunn, Al Mckay and the Phenix Horns. The new line up on this concert is still great. Earth, Wind & fire demonstrate why they are still considered a top group. Musically and Artistically there music was ahead of most groups of there time. To combine Jazz, Rock, Gospel, African and Cuban influence with Pop and Classical, this group`s talents were clearly evident. This 1990 concert reunites Maurice and the group with beautiful songs, excellent musicianship, and creative power that is so much a part of an Earth Wind & fire show. Get this 90 min. show, you will not be dissapointed.

Review: nothing like watching the elements in action.though the faces are somewhat different in the back with Maurice white, phillip bailey and verdine white in view it's always a special treat.every band should watch and take note of how to perform ewf class 101.

Summary: Must Own DVD!
Review: Outstanding footage of the last Earth Wind & Fire World Tour that Maurice White did. (He did a tour of Japan in '95, but that was it.) Great show!

But don't give up on this incredible band... I saw three outstanding shows in 1999 and have to admit that they are better than ever!!!

Summary: The Fire's Here!!!
Review: Recorded live in Japan during the "Heritage" tour in 1990, EWF is at the top of its game with dazzling chereography, tight arrangements (especially the horn section)and a song-catalog that would make any band proud. Sonny Emory shines as a rapper and a drummer (and proves that concert "drum solos" can be entertaining without being endless or boring), while lead vocalists Maurice White and Philip Bailey sing with excitement as if they were performing these songs in concert for the first time. Other highlights of this excellent well-mixed concert dvd include solos from guitarist Sheldon Reynolds and saxophonists Andrew Woodfork and Gary Bias, and a magical finale that will leave you breathless. In fact, this whole dvd will have you up and dancing.

Summary: Great Music, just a concert presentation!
Review: The music in this offering is excellent. After seeing them in concert in the early 80's(?), this DVD was a let down. As this DVD begins, with three diamond shapes illustrating the EWF fly around the screen, then after the seeing the band appear out of smoke in front of three obelisks's, that was basically it for the special effects. I know the band is getting older, but the old time effects I remembered were gone. The music is great, stage presence is excellent-but a downer if you expect more.

Summary: Earth, Wind and fire at their best....

Summary: Greatest Band Ever!
Review: This DVD has captured the vivid stage colors typically displayed by EWF. The sound is as clear as you could expect next to actually being there. Dynamic concert minus the special effects you have come to expect from an EWF concert. However, I must admit I truly miss the original members (Fred White, Al McKay, Larry Dunn, Johnny Graham, Roland Bautista) not taking anything away from Sonny, Sheldon or the new horn section. Get Away while listening to Kalimba Tree or just mellow out in your own Fantasy. This will most likely be the last time you get to view Maurice in action due to word being he is no longer touring. Truely, a breath taking band that has touched all who have listened to their music. A must have for your music collection. The only concert that I think tops this one is EWF at the Oakland Coliseum. Why, because it has the original members and it was recorded in the USA!

Summary: The Band Of The Millenium!
Review: This DVD is a must for true EWF fans, and while many of the original members are missing, the new line up is effective! Most of the BIG hits are covered, and you should check out the version of 'Reasons' here.Philip Bailey does his 'thing', and drummer Sonny Emory adds a cute rap to the classic slow jam! Get this DVD along with the 'Earth Wind and Fire: Live In Concert' DVD from 1981! They are both essential! Sean DavisBR> Peace!

Summary: Simply the best
Review: This is an absolutely brilliant performance by undoubtedly one of the best groups ever to have graced our planet. Yes, I am an ardent EWF fan and have all their dvd's. The "Live In Japan" concert not only bears testimony to the "soul" of the group, but gives expression of the absolute brilliance of the individual members of the group.

A must for all music lovers
