Rating: Summary: Are these videos the same versions as the DVD/CD set? Review: "That's The Way Love Goes" was originally longer, featuring a little movie about Janet playing the song for her friends for the first time. "If." had a storyline removed from the DVD/CD AFY set--the version on dvd now is called the "All Dance" version, whereas the original replaces some of those horribly lit shots (like the one where the can-light glares the camera) with scenes of the "activities" going on elsewhere in the club while the customers watch Janet & the dancers from video monitors in their rooms. And then there's the B&W "You Want This" still missing. The video and laserdisc versions of "janet." featured these clips AND their alternate versions. Why leave them off of a SECOND dvd release? I'm not even gonna start on my distaste for whoever currently owns the film RN1814 not releasing it. Polygram's purchase by Universal resulted in a split of film and audio masters--I think MGM picked up all Polygram films, though I can't be sure...It may not currently be owned by the same people as the video compilation, so let's not complain until we know who we're complaining to. Oh wait, I am complaining. Let's complain ;-)

Rating: Summary: Janet At Her Best ......(Part 2) Review: I have mostly good things to say about this DVD compilation, it gives us the best of Miss Jackson during her years on Virgin Records. I have heard alot of complaints about this DVD for the simple fact that it didn't contain the videos for "Twenty Foreplay (which is still unavailable on DVD)courtesy of A&M Records" & "Doesn't Really Matter courtesy of Def Jam Recordings", my guess is Virgin didn't want to pay for the clearance of these videos. As for the DVD itself I have never seen images so clear and heard sound so good, especially when on the 5.1 mode (you hear Janet & her music like you've never heard it before)great job on the new mix!!. It's always nice to see classics like ..."If. , Again, Got til it's Gone and Son of a Gun" just to name a few. My only complaint about the DVD is the fact that the original version of "Someone to call my Lover" was booted for the remix with J.D (coincidence mmmmm I think not), The 2004 Megamix" was excluded & the photo gallery was a disappointment. I guess I can't complain too much considering the bonus performances. Janet is still in Control!!

Rating: Summary: LOVE IT Review: I LOVE JANET!!!! She so fabulous and i'm excited that there is a new collection of her videos out!!! The only thing that missing is the video for "Twenty Foreplay" off of the "Decade of a Decade" album. It wasn't included on the "All For You" DVD edition either. Its such a beautifully shot video of her looking like Miss Dorthy Dandrige. I do hate that there isn't some of the remix videos but it's good.Keep up the good work Janet!!!
Rating: Summary: Good but not Great Review: Okay, first the good. It's nice to have a more complete collection of Janet's Virgin Records videos, with 4 more than on the Limited Edition All For You DVD that came out in 2001. It's nice to get the remix video of Someone to Call My Lover. The extras of the live performances are sweet. It's also cool to have the videos mixed in 5.1 surround sound while still retaining the option for Dolby 2.0. The not so good: they left out the video for "Just a Little While" and substituted it for a taped performance of the song and it's kind of bland. Also, despite what I had heard in advance, there is no video for "R&B Junkie". Compared to the prior DVD, the image quality isn't that sharp but instead more fuzzy and indistinct. I watched "All for You" on both to compare. I also miss the video jukebox feature of the prior DVD because here you can't make a playlist of the videos you want to see. I also wish they could have included more videos that are out there like the black and white version of You Want This and the Blackstreet version of I Get Lonely, etc. Still, this is a pretty good collection for anyone who doesn't own the special edition DVD and a must have for any serious Janet fan!
Rating: Summary: Janet's popularity definitely lies in the VISUAL! Review: One must admit that Jackson does not possess a strong voice; she is able to carry a tune and with her looks, that's about all that is necessary.
This collection of videos, although touting all of the four titles of her last four albums, is rather limited in its offerings from the latest, "Damita Jo." That may be due to the fact that her most recent effort didn't spawn the sales success of the previous offerings.
While a good segment of the videos presented here can be found on other compilations, they are still visual "treats" for the artist's many fans. They show her many different moods and physical changes over the past decade. Extras, like the "live" performance and the interview segment, serve their purposes, neither adding or detracting from the total package.
It would've been a better choice to include the Blackstreet version of "I Get Lonely", though, because it is a far superior rendition than the solo Jackson effort.
Rating: Summary: Hot! Hot!! Hot!!! Review: This collections is fantastic. It's great to see "Everytime" included...but I was hoping to see the underappreciated "Just A Little While" as well.
