Review: All the people who gave this a bad review don't get the point.......it's a DVD SINGLE!!!!!!! You get an uncut music video, some movies, trailers etc. It's not a full movie, it's just a single, just have some funTOOL ROCKS!

Review: For those of you crying about the DVD not having live footage, maybe you should try reading the next time you buy something; it was never advertised as anything other than that. It is a DVD single. You get one song. For the rest of you crying about it being immature or objectifying women.... just shut up and realize that someone who makes serious music is capable and ALLOWED to have fun and joke around. Quit being so uptight about everything. I also fail to recognize how Maynard has "sold out" by releasing an uncensored version of a video that isn't allowed to be played on your precious MTV. Just about everything he's done in his career has proven that he's a lot more intelligent than any of you idiots bashing this.

Review: I really don't care to much for it. The song is my lest fav of the album. And yeah its stuped. But the Bikini Bandits have been around befor APC, so it wasnt really even there idea your bashing. And how come Tool is even apart of the covo at all?
Maynard is NOT Tool, he's a part of Tool, the image the music, its Justin Danni and Adam TOO. Its not even close to the same band? Dont diss tool if you dont like APC.
Maynard is a good lead singer, and writtes amazing lyrics, but thats all he does,...theres alot more to a band then ONe dude. And why does he have to make gold everytime, its a $10 DVD of a joke video, boho. So because it sucks and compleatly difrent bands whole work and legacy now are crap? I mean theres not much better these days. If you want better music, listen to Zeppelin.

Summary: Not great, but....
Review: I really excited when I heard APC was coming out with a DVD. When I put it in the player, however, I was a bit disappointed with the results. It's basically just Bikini Bandits stuff and APC happened to help them with the music. It's not exactly an APC DVD as I was lead to believe. The Bikini Bandits stuff is entertaining to some extent. It's basically low comedy porn (...). I wouldn't recommend unless that's what you're into. However, I will say that I don't think this is Maynard "selling out" as this is something he enjoys. It's deliberately cheesy and over the top and he wanted to do it for fun. It's not the usual great art we get from APC (or Tool, Maynard's other band), but it isn't meant to be.

Regardless, if you like the video that much record it off MTV and save your money. Cause the Bikini Bandits stuff is pretty corny. I was waiting for that live version of "The Nurse Who Loved Me". Support the band, buy the albums, but if you don't want to lose money, stay away from the Bermuda Triangle.

Summary: "Retardation" is right...
Review: On the back of this DVD single (in effect) of the uncut video for "The Outsider" by A Perfect Circle, the band characterizes the video as a "bit of retardation" (or something like that). Well, that pretty much sums it up. The opening menu is colorful but straightforward, allowing one to select between the main video ("The Outsider"), the "Bikini Bandits & The Golden Rod" trilogy, and a couple trailers. This was my first time watching the main video in any format (cut or uncut), and I supposed it lived up to my modest expecatations: no coherent plot, no connection to the song lyrics, but somewhat funny and moderate "T&A" -- vaguely reminded me of something, e.g., Monster Magnet might put out for MTV... Although the main video includes some opening and closing scenes outside the song itself, it is still fairly short overall (7-8 min?). Also, for a supposed "uncut" version, it seemed fairly tame -- bikinis, some bad language and obscene hand gestures, and lawn ornament molestation; rather underwhelming in that regard. The "extras" on the disc were pretty much the same -- goofy T&A-oriented retardation. Overall, from the perspective of: (i) A Perfect Circle's work generally; (ii) the high quality of the song itself; and/or (iii) gratuitous lechery, this was fairly disappointing. However, from a "this is so bad I can't believe they actually put out something like this -- I'm really embarassed for the band", it had some entertainment value. Based on the latter, and because there were bikini-clad women and some funny moments, I'd give it 2.5 stars overall.
