Summary: In Complete Awe...
Review: I attended this show with some casual fans of Cyndi Lauper's, back in March when it was taped at Town Hall, and the verdict was..."My God, this woman is simply Amazing"...They were in complete awe of her, as I have been for 20 years plus. Her ability to take complete control of the stage and keep an audience mesmerized for the time she was up there performing is not an easy task. But Cyndi Lauper makes it seem effortless. She truly shines throughout the entire concert, and proves that she is one of the greatest vocalists from the 20th century right up to the present day...This will be a MUST HAVE for anyone who wants to be thoroughly moved and entertained...

Summary: Oh My God
Review: I bought this DVD because first off I am a huge Cyndi fan and would buy whatever she put out. I must admit I didnt have high hopes on this being a high quality production but I was wrong! The picture & sound quality is perfect! Cyndi is in amazing voice as always and her performance of If You Go Away brought tears to my eyes. For the music, for the price, for the memories, buy this DVD. It is a must have! You will be glad you did. If you havent seen Cyndi live in the past 14 years, you need to see this. Yeah, she is the one who sang Girls Just Want To Have Fun (which she sings here) but she has grown up in every way, most importantly her voice. There is a true artist here and now maybe the world can see it.

And hey Cyndi, when are you gonna bring this new tour to the South East? It's been 3 years and we are waiting for you!

Summary: Ten bucks???????
Review: I can't believe that's all this DVD is going for. Bless you, Cyndi!! There's so much on this DVD, so much quality and laughs and tears, that I can't believe it's not selling for double the price.

I'm not one for concert videos normally, and I also thought the "Live In Paris" video from years ago didn't capture the excitement of a Cyndi show. But this... This is just so extraordinary.

Cyndi is at the top of her game. That voice. Where does that voice come from?!?! My boyfriend was watching it with me and said, "She's a SOUL singer!" And she is. I love how she makes her voice sound so different, often in the space of just one verse. She had me on the edge of my seat waiting to hear what note was coming next. (I was scared she was going to have a breakdown during "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" - watch out, Tori Amos. :)

What's also nice is that you can tell how much care went into the production. The colors, the angles, the pacing: it's seamless and so much fun to watch.

I just watched the whole thing, so it's fresh in my mind. Cyndi's tour of where she grew up is priceless. The outtakes made me laugh my face off. "True Colors" made me cry. The hardcore fans are going to eat this up, and the casual ones are going to have a blast discovering it.

Cyndi, thank you so much for this DVD. Your passion and talent are on full display, and I for one am deeply inspired. It's a gift to your fans - and also to your little boy. Years from now he'll be able to see and hear what made millions of us adore his mother so much.

Summary: Phenomenal!!!
Review: I flew all the way from Houston to catch Cyndi in concert at the Town Hall, in March when this was taped. I have to say I have never seen a more energetic or giving performer than Cyndi. She treats the audience as if they were in her living room, and she was singing to her closest friends and family. She was in top form that night, hitting notes that were amazing, and she is truly hypnotic to watch. Her performances were executed to perfection, and she does a rock version of Walk On By that will have you in awe. She did her best verison of At Last that I ever saw that night, with her voice soaring close to 5 octaves at times. Cyndi has never looked better or sounded better. It was great to see HDNET premiering this in the past couple of weeks on cable, but I highly recommend you go out and buy this for all the great extras...the full version of the Stay video, Cyndi's short-documentary where it includes her driving through her old neighborhood, where she grew up. Plus she does some narration, with that great sense of humor fully intact. It doesn't get any better than this.....

Summary: Couldn't believe it
Review: I got this DVD as a gift and while I've always like Cyndi Lauper I don't follow her, especially now enough to know this DVD was even out. I saw her open for Cher and was amazed. But this full set was outstanding and her voice is absolutely incredible. Forget her age. If you was this DVD you definately will. She looks fantastic, moves and dances and sings her heart out. It is an incredible showcase of her true singing talent. I love this DVD and it's very affordable.

Summary: Converted
Review: I have been a casual fan of Cyndi Lauper's since she hit it big with Girls Just Want to have Fun.

I like a few of her songs and even own two albums. After seing this DVD I am now completely converted. She is without a doubt a consummate performer. Her voice seems stronger than ever and what she does with words in her songs is inspired and touching.

I also love how she is unpredictable and one gets the feeling that every night she would do something different onstage and not follow a routine a la Madonna/Britney/Cher etc etc.

She is also very personable and you feel as though she really wants to connect with her audience and take them on a journey.

Well done!

Summary: Cyndi Lauper 'Shines' on this great dvd!
Review: I have to add praise to the chorus... this dvd is wonderful. Cyndi looks and sounds incredible. Besides all the wonderful extras on the dvd, such as the behind the scenes stuff, alternate angles, and music video for Stay, the sound and picture are perfect quality. I guess the only disappointment is that Cyndi doesn't sing She Bop as originally recorded, but that's a minor complaint. The way Cyndi interacts with the audience is awesome, and her smile lights up the stage. Highlights have to be All Through the Night, Change of Heart, True Colors, and especially Shine, possibly her most underrated song.

Summary: Cyndi "At Last" and thank God!
Review: I just finished watching this DVD for the first time. I still have chills all over. Cyndi's performance was better than ever! I am in my late fifties, and saw Cyndi live in 1986 for the first time. It was my 12 year old daughter's first experience at a "rock" concert. People of all ages were there...grey haired women and kids smoking pot! Everyone was dancing in the aisles. I saw her next last summer some 17 years later. And all ages were there again having a great time. It was as memorable as the first one.

Cyndi has changed alot. But she certainly sounds better than ever in person and on this DVD. I, too, was glued to the TV watching from start to finish. I am a diehard Cyndi fan...and I highly recommend this DVD to everyone even remotely interested as they certainly will not be disappointed in this performance. Cyndi's popularity has been consistent through the past 20 years and will outlast many rock singers. Children grew up loving her, and their parents too!

Buy this DVD...you will not be sorry!

Summary: Cyndi Inspires me beyond words
Review: I never forgot Cyndi's Live in Paris CD, from the Le Zenith concert venue, back in 1987. I have it on VHS, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Cyndi decides to release it on DVD. Her brand new live At Last DVD is also a treasure, that Cyndi purposely priced lower, to make it more affordable for fans. This DVD had me glued to my tv for the entrie time. She has an amazing stage presence, and her beautiful and amazing vocals on such songs as At Last, I Drove All Night, All Through The Night and If You Go, Away, resonated through the tv like she was doing a concert right there live in front of me. The quality and sound is absolutely first rate, and the whole production is classy and very well produced. Cyndi has a God-given talent, that other artists can't touch. She's very inspiring and a true rock and roll icon for all generations. This rates a solid 5 stars.
