Rating: Summary: FOREIGNER HOME MOVIE Review: FOREIGNER IS A GREAT GROUP, I HAVE SEEN THEM LIVE AND LOVE THEM,BUT THIS DVD IS REALLY ONLY A HOME MOVIE ,SHOT ONLY WITH ONE CAMARA ,SO DO NOT EXPECT A MTV KIND OF PRODUCTION WITH DIFFERENT ANGLES,THE SOUND IS GOOD AND THE BAND IS PLAYING BETTER THAN EVER ,EVEN DO THAT LOU'S VOICE IS A LITTLE GONE,STILL IS FOREIGNER AND EVERY SONG IN THE DVD IS A HIT.I HOPE THAT THEIR NEXT DVD IS MORE PROFESSIONAL LIKE THE RESENT OFFERINGS FROM OTHER GROUPS FROM THAT ERA LIKE THE JOURNEY DVD.
Rating: Summary: What a great way to relive their 25th!! Review: I have been a Foreigner fan for many years and attended several shows in 2002 during their 25th Anniversary tour. This band has been through a lot but they were still rocking it hard and it showed at their concerts. I had a great time at those shows and was so psyched when I heard they were going to release a movie from the tour. The Film did not disappoint!!! A very unpolished and unscripted view of the band on stage and behind the scenes. And very well done indeed!! Athough it is only a stereo mix, the sound is great and the setlist is full of hits & favorites. Thanks again to the band for releasing your "home movies" to us fans!! I will enjoy watching for some years to come. To any Foreigner fan: A must have!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: lame Review: i was really psyched to see this; i never saw a whole foreigner show but i saw them in 1988 at the atlantic records concert and they kicked ass. the production is sub-par, especially compared to tons of recent old re-releases (see dio sacred heart). lou gramm just can't hit any notes...the worst was juke box hero. terrible, noone objective could say otherwise. but- i will say that mick jones was fabulous, and i believe, even makes watching this dreadfull spectacle a somewhat enjoyable experience. have some wine. i am looking forward to seeing the deer creek show.
Rating: Summary: Save your money... Review: Seems like Mick Jones had to drag poor Lou Gramm with his ailing vocal performance just to make a quick buck in case Lou's health got worse. I could have hung in there but using one camera to shoot the whole DVD made it even boring to watch let alone listen. And I use to love Foreigner. Shameful.
Rating: Summary: Thank you, liveshows13 from Chicago, IL Review: Thanks for writing a review I could read and base my purchase on. The first reviewer had an affection for the CAPS LOCK key and hated periods. The second didn't use one capital letter and also hated periods. Yours was worth the read and was right on the money. I wish Amazon would reject some of these unreadable reviews..it is the English language and with a band like "Foreigner", I would think you are at least in your 30's or over like myself. You think people would be a bit more conscience on how they type. This is why you can preview your review first. Although I have seen worse! Anyway, "Liveshows13" was a great review and I really enjoyed this DVD.
Rating: Summary: Let down Review: This DVD seemed to be a total afterthought. I see it as a poorly paced edit and the program left me wondering why a band with so much of a fan-following released this and nothing else. With all respects Lou and Mick, Live at Deek Creek '93 is a much better buy for a fans hard-earned money. This would have been an acceptable piece for the completist collector IF it had been released alongside a pro recorded DVD with digital audio recording of a full concert. In retrospect to my previous comments, this DVD could actually have been better used as filler for extras section on a real Pro release. This is a single camera videographer tailing the group from hotel to venue and back. He was hooked into the soundboard most of the time from what we could tell. One of the biggest bands of the 80's and no complete live show on the 25th Anniversary is a real let down. Again, consider buying this if you are a completist collector. The fan who loved 80's foreigner casually will be left scratching their head. I love Foreigner, how about you guys dig through the vaults and pull out some full shows, get the lawyers together to do the sign-off's and contracts and release something that will make all your fans mouth water again. Seriously....please!!!
Rating: Summary: Foreigner: 25 All Access Tonight Review: This has to be the WORST concert / music documentary dvd that I have ever watched. The camera and editing work must have been done by a ten year old. The sound quality is terrible. I watched it only once (and not all the way thru) and it now sits collecting dust. To me it was the biggest waste of music money that I have spent. I would sell it for $5.00 if I thought I could ! PS: Couldn't find a zero star rating... sorry !
Rating: Summary: inside look Review: this is a interesting dvd if your a big fan but it is not a concert dvd just a close look at the band yes there is some songs played on the dvd but there is also a lot of talk and stuff that only a hardcore fan will like
