Rating: Summary: Jason Pierce in the big house Review: As a spiritualized fan I'm still waiting for Arista to put out all the footage of the Royal Albert hall show on a DVD, but this served as a good fix for now. The two videos on this DVD are pretty cool and in one we get a chance to see a shackled Pierce escorted from a prison cell to a court house. An absolutely bizarre and unexpected video theme for Spiritualized. The extras on this disc include a ten minute short film featuring an interview with Pierce and some footage from Glastonbury and Royal Albert Hall. The title on the outside misleadingly lists it as "The making of Ladies and Gentlemen We are Floating in Space" which it is definitely not. You'd think that Arista could put out a product which doesn't contain an error that huge about one of their own artists. If you're a Spiritualized fan you wont be disappointed by the content....possibly by the length, but then again it is a single.

Rating: Summary: Not what the band deserves, but a nice little package Review: Some DVDs can cost up to (dollar amount) for a product that should cost half that much. Luckily, this DVD "single" is less than (dollar amount) so no one will feel ripped off. The 'Ladies and Gents' making of is really an interview with J Spaceman in a church cut with some live European footage. Though the live footage usually cuts out mid-song, it is still nice to have something like this in the States, where Spiritualized has been neglected for 10 years. The "Electricity" video is like the "Video Killed the Radio Star" video, just J driving around and looking at things. The "Come Together" video puts J in place of Lee Harvey Oswald for a theatrical treat. There's nothing here for a non-fan, but the low price and goodies make this an essential purchase for those who listen to Spiritualized in their sleep.
