Rating: Summary: Great 2 Disc Package! Review: Incase you don't know about what this is right here and you haven't seen it, it's Necro's second studio album "Gory Days" with a very lengthy DVD to come with it, packaged together for a very low price. As for the album "Gory Days", it's some of the craziest and most awesome stuff I've ever heard. There's only about 2 or 3 tracks on it I'm likely to skip over, but the ones that shine the most would have to be, "Bury You With Satan", "World Gone Mad", "Dead Body Disposal", "Scalpel", "12 King Pimp Commandments", "Gory Days", and "Morbid". On top of these ill songs, the track, "Circle of Tyrants" features four other members of Necro's camp, his brother Ill Bill (yes, his brother is a rapper, he's the front man for the amazing group NonPhixion), Goretex (another member of NonPhixion), Captain Carnage, and Mr. Hyde; all ill emcees adding to the flavor of the track. Even more of a standout to me is Necro's production, he's honestly one of the best producers out there and whether or not you like his rapping style, you can not deny his production; the beats are SICK. You might even recognize certain production (and lyrics/hooks for that matter) cuz he samples a lot also...he does a fresh job of that too. If that's not enough, if you buy this CD/DVD limited version, you get two bonus tracks, "24 Shots" and "Violins of Violence"...both great tracks, in no way are either of these tracks some rushed non-quality [stuff] just to stick on the album, like some bonus tracks are.As for the DVD, I think is awesome. It's hours long, and has more than enough for any Necro fan. It's got live performances, strippers, freestyles, appearances by other known underground emcees, movies written/directed/produced...etc. by Necro himself and a lot of other cool stuff. Also included is the music video for "I Need Drugs" off Necro's first studio album...for those who've never seen it, take my word that it's the sickest and most twisted video ever; you've just gotta see it yourself...not only is the video on the DVD but also the making of the video. Aight, as tight as I think the DVD is, I won't front...there's some parts that I wasn't ecstatic about. First of all, the editing could have been much better, a lot of stuff was really choppy. The freestyles kicked are all pre-written (since you see Necro and Mr. Hyde reading their verses) which was a little disappointing...but it's still cool. As for Necro's movies, I personally think Necro should stick strictly to music and music videos. I didn't see anything that great about them, but hey, that's just me. Last I'd say that there was too much filler stuck on the DVD just to take up time. I know that seems like a lot, but that's just cuz the DVD is long as anything and as for the stuff I didn't mention I loved, so no hate, it's ill. All in all this CD/DVD pack is incredible and if you're thinking of buying the regular "Gory Days" CD, get your hands on this instead, it's well worth the extra few bucks. Get this quick though because it's out of print, you'll probably have to look around to get this, and in a few months this is gonna be close to impossible to find. If you miss out though, Necro is gonna start selling the DVD without the CD, but I think the pack is a better deal. ...
