Rating: Summary: This ... is bad. Review: I was so [mad] when I got this home. I had bought it because right on the box it says, "Over 100 minutes of footage". I thought, "Great! I can finally show my kids a Kiss concert!" and I took it home. There's only four songs!!! That's not a concert - ... I guess the 100 minutes includes everything including the interviews. The only reason this doesn't get 1 star is because of the extras that are included.
Rating: Summary: totally lip-synched piece of garbage Review: I have been a fan of kiss since the early 70's and was hoping I'd finally get to see a DVD concert of theirs. It was an impulse buy and I didn't check amazon first. Shame on me. I only saw one review that mentioned possible lip-synching but they dismissed the thought and concluded it was live. [anyone] can see that the music was totally dubbed. The most obvious is that Peter's drumming doesn't match the audio at all (watch the multi-angle version). Sometimes Paul's singing starts before he's even at the mic. Ace's fingers aren't quite moving with the solos (when they even show him) and the background vocals have way too many background singers. How could no one notice this before. Hello!??!!!? This plus all the negatives everyone else has already mentioned equals a total waste of money and a very sad day for Kiss fans.
Rating: Summary: Great 'concert' if you are a fan of LIP SYNCING! Review: Don't buy this overpriced beer coaster. Other reviewers say Kiss has nothing to do with this release and we should not blame them? well, they are the one who lip-synced the show in the first place. ...and the bonus stuff? please. imaging watching four guys for fifteen minutes ( thats how long I lasted, it might be longer) being interviewed but not being able to hear any of the questions and very few of the answers. very sub-par, ameture-ish. True fans don't listen to the reveiws that say true fans will like this. There is nothing at all interesting about this disc.
Rating: Summary: Buy or not to buy Review: Alright, everbody told me not to expect too much about this dvd. As I am always curious about new kiss I was really dissapointed because of the slow playing of the wellknown songs. They sounded like kiss of courese but it would have been no missing not to have bought this dvd. the picture quality is really ok but the sound is disapointing to me. there are much better performances like the payTV concert this one rocks really.
Rating: Summary: KISS FANS: DON'T BUY THIS [JUNK]!!!!! IT REALLY [STINKS]!!!! Review: I rated it "one star" because I didn't find "0 stars"! This is the worst cheat KISS can do on their millions and milions of fans worldwide. Aren't they satisfied with the zillions of dollar$ they already have? Is Mr. Simmons never satisfied when it comes to money (our money, by the way)?I found the DVD and bought it immediately as a loyal KISS fan 'cos it read "Live in Las Vegas", so I thought "this is the so-long-waited concert DVD". But I was SO SO dissapointed to find only 4 songs, that I just wanted to thrash the damned thing through the window. "Bonus" items use more than 80% of the disc. "Bonus" is supposed to be a small extra thing, right? But hell no! It is almost all of the disk and the performance is almost nothing as opposed to what is offered in the DVD cover. I bought the DVD to watch KISS play, not a bunch of guys playing KISS covers (altough they play really good). For that matter, it should've been labelled "KISS Tribute" instead of "KISS Live in Las Vegas". If this is not enough to keep you away from it: most of the bonus interviews are done with a HandyCam, all the time moving and with an inintelligible sound (as if it was recorded inside a shoe box). As if you were there with your own HandyCam taping the interviews. This is not what you'd expect from a DVD product, it is simply not admissible. And some of the interviews are really old -the Kulick era, the Hollywood stars-, with bad image quality, bad sound, when you'd expect more from the original members (also from the DVD cover, you'd expect more from the Psycho Circus or the Farewell Tours)....
Rating: Summary: SAVE YOUR MONEY... Review: I've been a KISS fan for over 25 years and own every one of their albums, videos and books. This particular DVD is one of their worst. Consisting of only 4 live songs with the remaining time filled with amateur shot public appearances, this DVD is very slow moving and rather boring. In defense of KISS, this DVD was not approved or endorsed by the band. If you are interested in a great KISS DVD, spend your hard earned money on KISS: The Second Coming. You won't be dissapointed. Dave Casper
Rating: Summary: Must Have for all true Kiss Fans Review: I've been a fan of kiss ever since I can remember. And I can't even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed this DVD. True, there's not as much energy and charisma as you'd expect, but these guys are getting a little older, and it's been a while since their last performance. Where the true value lies in this DVD, is in the 'bonus material'. I was dissapointed at first, to find there was only 4 songs, but the multicam view and bonus footage, more than made up for it. Overall, I enjoyed this DVD, and as long as it's known that the 'concert' is only 4 songs, then you won't be dissapointed at all. A must have for all TRUE Kiss fans!
Rating: Summary: Worth it for the extras Review: True, this is not a KISS approved DVD,but it has tons of extra footage that make it worth the $$.
Rating: Summary: Great to see the original line-up in action..... Review: oke....so what it's only 4 songs....to me that doesn't matter. The sound is crisp (10) the shots are clear. The 4 angle camera shots are very fun to watch. It's great to see KISS perform with the audience in front of them, in other words...you see KISS perform while the cameras are filming from behind Peters drumkitt.....The extra bonus material is good also. Especialy the box-signing in L.A....This is a "must have" for each fan!!!
Rating: Summary: THANKS PIXELON Review: This DVD is bad! Only 4 songs....Don't need to be a musician to see that the image don't work with the sound, But it is not a real Kiss Production here's an official declaration for this product: Paul answering to a question about Kiss live in las vegas.... Some of you may have purchased or are considering purchasing a DVD or Video entitled "KISS Live in Las Vegas" which is being promoted by Pixelon.com. We want you to know that this DVD or Video has NOT been approved, endorsed or authorized by us. You should also be aware that the DVD or video does NOT contain an entire KISS concert. Rather, the Las Vegas performance consists of only four KISS songs from a limited appearance in Las Vegas for the launch of the Pixelon web site.
