Summary: A "KISS" Off...
Review: I'm only a small step away from saying this was a waste of money. For starters, the Las Vegas concert seemed incredibly short (only 4 songs; there had to be more than that!), and much of the time, the audio track didn't match the video; not that it was sequenced badly, but with the exception of the band introduction and the banter with the audience in between songs, which were obviously live, it's like the music was culled from a totally different concert, or was touched up after the fact. Examples: watch closely and you'll see things in spots like Paul Stanley visibly singing into his mike and no vocals are heard; cymbal crashes on the drum track and Peter Criss is not even hitting the cymbals; explosion sounds happen nearly 3 seconds after the pyrotechnics were set off, etc.

On the upside, the video quality is great, with a "multicam" presentation available, showing the concert in 4 different camera angles; and the 5.1 surround sound is good (but again, is the music actually from the Vegas show? I have my doubts). There are an abundance of bonus materials here (which is why I gave this 3 stars; otherwise it would've gotten only 2), some interviews that were from the "Revenge"-era with Bruce Kulick and Eric Singer. The high point of the bonus materials is the concert footage of KISS-tribute band "Larger Than Life", who did a great job visually and musically; however, their excellent performance suffered greatly from the amateurish camera work and the murky, distorted sound.

Hardcore KISS fans will probably enjoy this, but more so for the bonus materials rather than the actual concert. If you're expecting a full-length show, you're in for a big letdown, because it ain't happening.

Summary: If only a NEGATIVE TEN rating was possible ....
Review: What a ripoff! I don't have a single constructive thing to say about this $18 purchase. This wasn't even a show! Four songs (not even done that well) REPEATED! What was the big deal?! The internet server got swamped with traffic and crapped out ... so this is the big unseen show?! PLEASE!!! With nonsense like this, it amazes me that Gene and Paul are millionaires, but then again there's a sucker born every minute, huh?

RUN - DON'T WALK - AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT! If you want to see it look for my auction ... I'll be selling it for 1 cent real soon. Worthless!

Correction: Later, I learned that Gene and Paul had nothing to do with this debacle. The performance was purchased and licensed for resell ahead of time. There's not much legally the KISS boys can do about it, although I understand now they are very disappointed it's out there to purchase.

Summary: Live in Las Vegas?...yeah..they were alive...but that's it
Review: I am a huge Kiss fan and have been for many years. This was a major disapointment (wanted to check it out here before opening, but my wife did it without knowing). Well my suspicsions were correct....the DVD is says it's 100 minutes...so I figure it's a whole concert. To sum this up...the 4 songs they show are great for a Kiss fan, but this is extremely dissapointing and mostly DECEIVING because I'm sure most people will think it's a full concert. Shame on u Kiss for letting this go thru as deceiving as it it. Give us a real full concert on DVD and prove us wrong that ur just in this for the money :(

Summary: The Big Flopper
Review: I bought this DVD and was excited to see a full length concert with the blood, fire and theatrics. This DVD [is awful]. It says on the cover the never seen concert. I wish I had never seen it. It only had four songs on it which only lasted about 20 min. I got to see more of the cover band performing than I did the original band. If I wanted to see the cover band I would have bought a DVD that said "Kiss cover bands". This is a waste of my time and money.

Summary: ES UNA PORQUERIA!!!

Summary: Not So Live in Las Vegas
Review: I wanted to give this no stars but Amazon.com will not let me! Let me first say that this is not a KISS DVD. ... I bought this DVD hoping for the best but man was I wrong. I took my complaint all the way to KISS themselves and I was pleasantly suprised to find them on my side. KISS had nothing to do with the release of this DVD. They tried to block the sale of it but could not. Just pass this one up and wait for the new Alive IV: KISS Symphony. The CD Rocks and so should the DVD.

Summary: "You wanted the Best...well it aint here."
Review: I have been a hardcore KISS fan for years, thus i love their music and performances. However, this KISS Dvd made me extremely angry at the group, (or maybe just Gene). First of all and most importantly the entire advertisement for the dvd is false. When one inspects the box you immediately assume that this is an unseen 'concert.' WRONG! You only get to see kiss perform four songs, plus some extra interviews. On the back of the box it reads in bold, "The Historic Performance The first time ever in Las Vegas" furthemore it states the the dvd is appx 100 min. Immediately i thought im going to enjoy a full concert, but its total ... .
I don't know who to put the blame on but im guessing it was Gene Simmons idea to make more cash. He will probably realease the full concert in some box set for about [$$$]. Well hes not getting my hard earned money, and so "buyer be ware". This dvd was a total gimmick. Don't waste your money. If you want to see a good metal concert by true metal gods then watch "Dio," "Iron Maiden," or "Judas Priest."
For more naked truth on this dvd, read other reviews and you will realize exactly what i mean.

Summary: Minnie Vanilli Revisited!
Review: I'll keep it short. Lip synced!! The camera angles change really fast to keep you from noticing it's a bogus performance. Also, peter criss isn't really playing the drums, and it shows. How sad for these guys. Finally, the Kiss impersontor band actually plays and sounds just as good or better than the originals. Oh, one more thing. The sound was hard to get to play on the extras; was ready to return it but it somehow started to play afterI hit every remote/home theater control button. Anyhoo...You want a good concert DVD?, try Alice Cooper Brutal Planet.....You won't be disappointed!...
