Review: I had the pleasure to see the The Thunderbirds while visiting some friends in Austin in the early eighties. On a biz trip to Providence, RI I saw in an add in the paper that they would be playing a RI beach club that weekend. I extended my stay and it was well worth it. This is a different lineup, but Kim Wilson is is as good as it gets. The video was rather clean in a widescreen format and the Dolby 5.1 and DTS soundtracks were excellent. I do wish whoever it is that is directing/editing would keep the cameras off the crowd and on the performers. No kudos for director of the year. It is totally unneccessary and uncalled for - just the performers and the music please...
