Summary: All you need is Björk !
Review: Normally I'm not the type of guy who bothers writing reviews. But in this case I simply have to. If you're wondering: Isn't 10$ too much for just one video-clip? I'll reply, it was the best money I ever spent! Chris Cunningham has turned an "ordinary" Björk-song into the best music-video ever made. If he doesn't get rewarded at the MTV-awards, I don't know who should. Even some of my friends who detests Björk, admits that it's art-work beyond anything, they've ever seen. (That's a recommandation!!) The only thing, that I'm not completely happy about is the sound. It's "just" normal stereo CD-audio (Linear PCM 48 kHz/16 bit). Surround sound or DTS would have sent me straight to Heaven...

Volumen (Björk's greatest videos - that means all of them - except "ALL is...") should be mentioned shortly: Buy it!

Summary: One of my 3 favorates of all Time
Review: Off all the music videos ive seen in my life these 3 stand out:
Ray of light by Madonna
Scream by Micheal and Janet jackson
and All is Full of Love by Bjork

The song and video blend so well togather. the Video allso has a start a middle and an end. It starts with this robot Bjork waking up as huge machines produce her. Then she meets another Robot Bjork. Then they start to kiss.
Ive never seen special effects so detailed for a music video.
This video was number one at VH1 top ten Robot videos. Garbage's
grate video The World is not enough was at nr.2.
All is full of Love allso won an mtv award for best music video.

Summary: Cunningham is the greatest gift to music video film-making.
Review: Portishead, Aphex Twin and now Bjork. Chris Cunningham's work is simply incredible. AND he picks great music to work with. Gotta love it.

Summary: Not your typical music vid with robots...
Review: Robots in a music video sounds like a lame overused MTV concept, doesn't it (think Backstreet Boys "Larger Than Life")? Luckily Bjork can take such a mundane subject matter and bring emotion into it.

Directed by Chris Cunningham (who has done some cool videos for Aphex Twin, Madonna, etc.) the video is about the construction of a female robot (Bjork), who later encounters her female twin to have a long and lingering kiss. And that's it.

In order to really appreciate it, the video relies on subtlety (the slow movements of the robots' joints, the mechanical visualization of the construction), innuendos (narcissism or possible lesbianism involved), and the simple lines of the song which she delivers with passion. The video is enhanced by great lighting and expressive acting by Bjork.

My only criticism of it, I preferred the stripped-down album version of the song, rather than a remix being used in the video.

The extras include the sophisticated Funkstorung Remix and a Strings Remix of "All Is Full of Love", one of her best ballads.

Summary: Robot love fest a-go-go
Review: The best Bjork video. The song may be average, but this must be purchased for the robots. You will not be upset.

Summary: Another Björk Triumph in Audio and Video
Review: The first "DVD single" ever released, "All is Full of Love" is a wonderful package highlighting one of music's most inventive stars with a video produced with an equal amount of skill as she brought to the music. Björk's unique visions tend to draw the best from the people who work with her creations, and Chris Cunningham was up to the task when he produced the video that highlights this disc.

The actual "All is Full of Love" video, resplendent with its German industrial visuals, stunning computer graphics and erotic overtones, is perhaps not the strongest of Björk's videos, but even the worst Björk videos trump 99.9% of the dreck currently perforating American culture. On its own, the video is a triumph, and validates purchase of the disc by itself. Perhaps some will be irked by the percussion-laden remix of the song used in the video (as opposed to the stripped-down, ethereal, percussionless version found on _Homogenic_), but the remix works with the theme of the video much better than the album version would have.

Both remixes of the song are pleasing, but if there is a complaint to be made about them, it is that the screen simply dims while both tracks are playing. Given the space made available to the developers by the DVD format, some visual goings-on during the remixes - still photos of Björk, behind-the-scenes footage of the video's production - would have been nice. Granted, as the first DVD single its developers were breaking new ground and may not have taken such considerations into account, but this drawback does merit mention.

"All is Full of Love" remains recommended purchasing despite that flaw, though. No Björk fan's collection is complete without it, and even for those not into Björk the video is interesting enough to deserve consideration.
