Rating: Summary: This DVD is a major disappointment Review: As a big fan of Dokken, I always buy their cd's, etc. as soon as they come out. They're one of the few bands whose records/dvd's I purchase before I even hear the material as I know from experience, I will end up liking...not this time however. I was so excited to get this DVD off the Dokken.net Website as well as the accompanying cd. That feeling of excitement quickly wore off as I began watching it as I was VERY disappointed in the sound and picture quality. It was as if a fan shot this (bootleg). Not to mention, they didn't even play the strongest song from the Dysfunctional LP-Too High To Fly. What's up with that?!?! They release that as their first single and then don't even have it on this DVD/cd?!?! Live from the Sun was an inspired, well-produced live DVD-one of the best that I own (I have a lot of music DVD's). I recommend that, giving that a 5 stars (Reb's solo in Too High To Fly is simply awesome!). I do NOT recommend Live in '95, even to the hardcore Dokken fan because you will feel cheated and ripped off...I know I do. Don, I hope this review reaches you.
Rating: Summary: Horrible quality Review: I hate to say it, but this DVD really does suck. The quality is the worst quality DVD I've ever bought. Seriously people, it looks like a bootleg. I gave it two stars because a die-hard Dokken/Lynch fan, like myself, would probably want it on their shelf even though you probably will only watch it once. Good luck!
Rating: Summary: I'll tell you why Review: I love Dokken and it is the 1st full concert that I've seen from them however I'm actually quite upset at the picture and sound quality from this DVD. I'm glad to own it but I think with the technology out today that they could have done a way better job. Like I said concert was great but the picture and sound suck bigtime!
Rating: Summary: Terrible video quality. Don't bother Review: I rarely write on-line reviews, but I wanted to warn people about how bad the video quality is. Its downright BLURRY. Don't buy this one.

Rating: Summary: AWESOME DVD Review: I reviewed it here because I'm so P.O.d at how long I waited to get it because of the few bozo's who gave it a bad view here and there on the net.
I just got this DVD today. I think it's awesome and I loved it!
I had shied away from it because of some bad reviews. People said bad video quality, poor audio.
THIS IS COMPLETE BS! PEOPLE!!!!
I'd like to backhand the bozo's who gave this DVD a bum rap!
What did they expect a live concert to look and sound like an MTV video??
Man the sound was SOOO!!! Good!! They were tight you couldn't slide a piece of paper between them.
George's guitar sound was incredable. Whoever engineered the sound is to be commended I've never heard a live perfomance sound so crisp and detailed! Man I could hear the freakin' sound system's faint hum between songs it was so detailed. They were even kind enough to have fill monitors down front for the front row people so they could hear the entire mix!
The Japan audience was as I had heard, they actual go to a concert to listen to the music so guess what? You can hear the music and not everyone yelling their head off.
It was a smaller size arena pack to the roof. And the video quality is just fine! Again what did these critics expect in 1995 for it to be filmed it in IMAX or somehing??
If you been thinking of getting this and the reviews made you back off wait no longer. I am so glad I ordered this. I never got to see them live and have never seen George live. If your a fan then you need this in your collection.
Pluses, the acoustical break down in the middle AWESOME, I got to see "George's guitar take on a life all it's own" as I have heard can happen, on I Will Remember.
My only cons, some of the old tunes the backup vocals were a little pitchy, but the new stuff? Some incredable vocal harmonies going on. Probably due to the extra attention on the newer material. Don looked like he was feeling a bit off maybe, he seemed better in the From the Sun promo in the Bonus features on the DVD, He did not look fat as one review I read said. Where do these people come up with comments like that??
Bottom Line an awesome DVD to add to your collection and the bad reviewers must be Knack fans. Now go get a copy.
Rating: Summary: I'll tell you why Review: I would have given this 4 stars if it weren't for the lousy video and terrible audio....... George can't seem to play as fast as he used to but he is still an excellent guitar player. Don is having a little trouble hitting the higher notes but it's not enough to hurt the songs. I'm actually surprised Dokken released a DVD of this horrible quality. He should fire the sound engineer on this one. Don't get me wrong, I love this band but this DVD was a big disappointment.
Rating: Summary: Awesome George Lynch-era Dokken (electric) show!!! Review: This is an essential purchase for any/ all Dokken fans. There are 16 tracks, NOT inc. some excellent bonus material. After a very good (albeit slightly uninspired...?)start of some "Tooth and Nail" (etc.)-era material, the band REALLY gets cooking from track 5 onward...SMOKING is more like it! The band is in amazing form from this point onward; sensational. My favorites? "I Will Remember" (smokes the good version from "One Live Night"), "Alone Again" (moving vocals by Don), "Mr. Scary" (George Lynch for Guitar God!), "Long Way Home", Shadows of Life", and "Unchain The Night"...but they're all great. What can I say? BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Don't waste your money! Review: This should have been a great DVD. The original lineup, a screaming sold out crowd in Japan. Too bad. Nobody must have told Don Dokken that they were making a video that night. This is a totally uninspiring performance by an overweight and seemingly stoned Don Dokken. I saw no attempt to make this a memorable show. Quite the contrary actually. The rest of the band seems fine however you are hardpressed to tell. The sound quality and video clarity are equally horrible. I am shocked that they actually released this pile of crap. Only the most hardcore Dokken fan should even consider this DVD. The best part of this DVD is the bonus song from the "Live from the Sun" DVD. This track has awsome sound and video, a complete contrast to the Japan show. Like I said at the top, don't waste your money.
