Rating: Summary: What can one say but....MADONNA Review: Madonna has never disappointed when it comes to controversy. Her video for "What It Feels Like For A Girl" is no exception. It has an energetic dance remix and an intense video to match. Of course, Madonna looks beautiful and the message of female empowerment is evident in the most in-your-face way! The violence isn't strong enough to justify its banning, but what can I say, some people can't handle stuff like this without trying it themselves. I definitely recommend this DVD! It's Madonna, enough said.
Rating: Summary: What a ride...literally Review: "What It Feels like for a Girl" is the embodiment of all Madonna videos. The direction in this video is ultimately hard-driven with perfection and innovating resoundment. People have called this violent and freakish. I give the video two thumbs up for female empowerment. A have-your-seat-belt-on roller coaster ride to the other side. WOW!
Rating: Summary: Hardly Worth Banning Review: As far as the DVD goes, it is just like any other DVD you own. You put it in, press play and watch. Well, this video hardly deserved to be banned from MTV. I watched it that very night at 11:30 p.m. and there was absolutely no reason for it to be banned. The only disturbing part in the video is the relationship and hell Madonna put the older woman through. The song itself was decent. I honestly don't think this is one of her best, but it is by far not her worst! I recommend this DVD. It is good.
Rating: Summary: I like the video remix Review: This Contains Madonna's controversial new video directed by Guy Ritchie (Snatch, & Lock Stock, & Two Smoking Barrels). This video was banned from TV and will never be shown again,(or so we think) so get it now while it's still available. Includes the uncut "What it Feels Like For a Girl" video. Due to a press release info error, as previously stated, the Calderone & Quayle Dark Side Mix(Very bad remix, sounds like the insides of my body) and Richard Vission Velvet Masta Mix (American Pie Remixes were better) Audio Tracks are NOT included on this DVD - you get ONLY the video itself (Thank God!)...or so I heard, but anyways, its Madonna, and if your are a Madonna fan, you MUST get it. Enjoy)|(
Rating: Summary: Amazing Video! Review: This truly is an amazing video. I'm so happy that Madonna decided to release the Paul Oakenfold Mix as the video single release - it's such a great mix... I'm usually not big on DVD singles, but this is a must own for any Madonna fan!
Rating: Summary: Madonna at her best as always Review: "What It Feels Like For a Girl", directed by Madonna's husband Guy Ritchie, is remarkable. Madonna shows her angry side. This seemingly happy lyrics are actually as angry as the video. Her committed crimes express her feelings toward sexism. One must respect her unique style. At the same time, she proves that she remains the queen of MTV after many years in the spotlight. Those who want to view this genius work must buy the DVD. MTV and VH1 banned it after one presentation because of its violent nature. It plays the techno remix version rather than the album version. One still will not be disappointed, even those who are not Madonna or techno fans.
Rating: Summary: You Go Girl Review: You know it is a sad day when a video like this is banned from Mtv, but maybe I am desensitized. Don't get me wrong, I love this video, but I am unable to see the reason for banning it. Was the image of a tattooed Madonna too controversial (hey, we all survived the 'Sex' book), or was it the fact that she drove a Camaro without having a mullet? On the plus side,Guy brings a sexy new edge to a Madonna video; filling screen with testosterone laden images and setting it to the pulsing Paul Okenfold remix which brings the focus from lip syncing (in a traditional video)to the nonstop action.
