Rating: Summary: Kreator/Live Kreation, Revisioned Glory Review: As a long standing Kreator fan i was thrilled when finally the first proper Kreator live came out. The livesection of this product absolutely kicks ..., although the sound quality isn't as superior as in the recent Slayer DVD. But still this totally rules. Mille is his good old self with his trademark aggressively hostile vocal performance. The song selection is great, covering every album(check out "Flag Of Hate" and "Tormentor" - off the "Endless Pain" - album) ecxept "Endorama" which i took more as a joke. Nice effect in comparisong to other bands DVD:s is the black and white visual effect which is used from time to time to add Kreators gloomy and darkly aggressive music. The Music videos are to my opinion quite useless and the history part is just a collage of which albums are released and band member changes. I Recommend this as a companion to the new Slayer DVD War At The Warfield. Personally i would have gived this 4,5 stars 'cause it isn't perfect. But hey! The finns are represented here(Sami Yli-Sirviö in the guitar) ...
Rating: Summary: The beginning of the "\m/etal television takeover"... Review: For the longest, we, the world wide \m/etal community, have been subjigated to the torture that is television, with ridiculous idiocy that the networks churn out just to appease those who wish to be dictated due to the laziness that is their mental status. Because of this DVD being released, it has begun the revolution for taking the television back from the greed of a society contempt in showing no regard for us as human beings. The Live Kreation DVD did spark the frenzy of \m/etal bands releasing DVD's left and right, and while we shouldn't forget the likes of Vader and Overkill releasing their DVD's as well, this one began the significance of having a \m/etal prescence in the DVD world. The DVD is well produced, a lot of thought as well as work was put into and you can see and hear it for yourselves. The song choices were amazing, and the footage of the fans as well other band members (although some didn't belong in this fine piece of weaponry, you be the judge of who I was referring to). The history section was also done with respect to content. My only complaint on this DVD is that they didn't bother putting the song "Total Death" in one of the live concert footages, which is a crime that deserves execution from the "Mad Butcher". Overall, a very \m/etal DVD, plus the fans that inked themselves with Kreator tattoos had some serious "cojones".- I6Z6A6N
Rating: Summary: omg! this isnt that good Review: okay the cover looks awsome the box it comes in is pretty cool i was so excited to put this in ym dvd player. and guess what it sucks! the lighting is terrible you can hardly see the band and it flashes all over the place the music is ok but you can t here the guys vocals really and its a dissapointment what a waste of money! buy death-live in la and iron maiden rock in rio for a good metal dvd
Rating: Summary: missing coma of souls video, but still good. Review: when i bought this dvd i was pretty anxious to see it. but i was a little let down by the live material. it has exellent sound and video, but the band is often bored looking. i usually love live shows but in this dvd the music videos are really better. these guys still kick major ass though. i really enjoyed the history part of the video where it shows early footage of the band on television with ventor (drums) singing. i would have really loved it if they had included the whole performance. another thing i noticed upon later viewing was that although the dvd claims to include all of thier music videos it is actually missing the "coma of souls" video. but all in all this is a good dvd. and worth the money for the price. hopfully another video will come out with older footage like that tv appearance some day.
Rating: Summary: This is the new faith Review: Yes!! Not only does Kreator toss out a superlative live album, but they accompany it with an equally excellent DVD. Rapture! Shot in several spots around the world, this film highlights Kreator's powerful live presence. After starting out as a remarkably young trio on the "Endless pain" album, they have become somewhat less aggressive while gaining impressive technical skills. However, it is on stage they truly deliver the goods. A slight exception to this might be new Finnish lead guitarist Sami Yli-Silviö, who, while certainly comfortable onstage, doesn't really appear to be much of a thrashhead. His old outfit Waltari was never that hard anyway and, seriously, what kind of thrasher wears leather pants and high-heeled boots? Having said that, he's a great guitarist, and that is what counts here. The rest of the band, especially the giant drummer Ventor, gets a real workout, energizing the already powerful songs to get that extra edge. I do miss certain songs, but all the classics are in place. Additionally, we get some music videos in the bonus section; I'd rather that they had played "Toxic trace" live, but as it is in the videos' section, I remain reasonably happy. Also, unlike many Kreator fans, I liked the "Endorama" album, and thus enjoyed the two videos from there as well. Finally, it is nice to see that old heroes like Candlemass' Messiah Marcolin and Dark Angel/Death's Gene Hoglan are still alive and kicking alongside new heroes like Arch Enemy's Angela Gossow, all of whom appear in little segments between songs. With only one disc, this is just about as good as it gets. Of course, nothing is ever perfect, but this is sooooo close. Five easy stars.
