Rating: Summary: Would have been great IF it were Pink Floyd....... Review: After reading some of the reviews, I feel some of the people are confusing this video with the ORGINAL movie, "The Wall". Sad to say, although the name is ALMOST the same, no winner this time. While Roger Waters did a bang up job, the video lost a lot when performers other than the orginal group added their interpretation of specific songs. When you you buy a Rolls, you expect a Rolls and NOTHING else will do as a sub.....Here is hoping that some of the wild rumors that Roger and crew and will be getting back together again. Not a great video, but if you are a die hard Pink fan, it should be added to the collection
Rating: Summary: Three stars because this is NOT Pink Floyd. Review: It seems that no one has noticed that this is not Pink Floyd performing on this video, it is Roger Waters. And even though he was Floyd's bassist, singer, and lyrisist, this production shows that he would rather forget all of that. First off, save a few (very good) songs, Roger Waters did write "The Wall", and indeed it is a masterfull work of rock music concept, second only to The Who's "Tommy", but the music on this video is clearly not the music of Pink Floyd. I'm sorry, but without David Gilmour's majestic guitar playing, songs like "Another Brick in the Wall pt. 2", "Young Lust" and especially the song Gilmour penned entirely, "Comfortably Numb", are massacared. The slamming drums of Nick Mason on "In the Flesh" are sadly gone, and Richard Wright's beutiful piano on "Mother" and "One of my Turns" is repaced by harsh sounding keyboards. Forget it, this video is not "The Wall" heard on the album, nor is it "The Wall" seen on the wonderfully twisted movie version.
Rating: Summary: 4 stars b/c it's only Roger and not the rest of the band Review: The show was good. I liked it, but i do have a problem with how it was filmed and the people he casted for the parts. Roger should have put his differences aside and put on the show with the rest of the band. He only had one shot to do this right and I think he screwed it up. It's not the same wihtout the other members of Floyd. Pink Floyd only sounds good with all of its members or without roger. Without Davids vocals the show sounds to depressing. I think Roger needs to put his ego behind him and admit that wihtout the rest of the band he is just a writer, nothing more. Shine on -/\=\/-

Rating: Summary: Great "stars", music as good as "Pink", a really big show!!! Review: This is the best music video that I have ever seen. It has a great band playing the music with many star performers singing the songs. Fabulous "Wall" being built in the background during the performance, to be torn down at the cresendo finish. New twist on some classic Floyd material. You will watch it over and over an you will turn it up!!
Rating: Summary: Brilliant!! Review: Showing off their genius for not only music but also for telling a story, The Wall is the definitive work of the world's most intelligent band. The Wall combines haunting imagery with equally haunting music to immerse the viewer in the world of protagonist Pink Floyd (Bob Geldolf). This is the seminal music movie!
Rating: Summary: Excellent Movie Review: Pink Floyd's The Wall, entertains all the emotions the world has ever known. The musical mastery of Pink Floyd ties together the very powerful images and the crucial issues which makes this one extraordinary film. If Schindler's List should be shown in schools, then so should The Wall!
Rating: Summary: Probably the best mix of music and video ever Review: Pink Floyd The Wall is an amazing story written by what is probably one of the best rock bands of all time. Pink, the antisocial protagonist of the story has a psychological wall built up by all the events in his life, which serves the purpose of keeping all others out, and causes him to disconnect more and more from the outside world. Bob Geldof is excellent as Pink, and the animation just adds even more of an eerie quality to the film. I would call it one of the most important movies of our time, and I think that everybody needs to see it.
Rating: Summary: Another Amazing Effort from the Boys from Britian!!! Review: Pink Floyd The Wall. What more can I say? It only puts all other music videos to shame, and the animation is just mind-blowing!! This movie takes at least three viewings to even start to comprehend the deep messages within it. All in all its not just another brick in the Wall....it is the most unique piece of entertainment that you will ever see. Get it NOW!
Rating: Summary: The wall Comes to life Review: A performance of the classic Pink Floyd "The Wall" done in Germany, to celebrate the taking down of the Berlin Wall, tho it contains no members of Pink Floyd, Roger< a previous Floyd member> co-wrote or wrote most of the songs on the original Wall album, an excellant live rendition, containing many american and European performers. Sinct the Floyd never released a Concert video of the Wall..THIS IS IT!! as close as you can get.
