Summary: Great for Alice fans but editing and camera work awful.
Review: I've been an Alice Cooper fan for 22 years and have owned this vid for about eight of those years. For heavy-duty Alice fans it is a must, unfortunately the concert is poorly edited, the sound quality is poor, as is most of the camera work. However, if you're looking for a true rock spectacle, one that puts Jim Morrison at his worst to shame, then this is the vid for you.

Summary: Squeeze me in a farm
Review: It goes without saying that this is a must have(or at least a must see) for Alice Cooper fans. It's great to see a show that I was too young to see(in fact, not even born yet). Wow, I'm sure there were no concerts back then like that one. Or even today for that matter. It's an awesome merging of a rock concert and a broadway musical done only how Alice can. However, they should have used different performances for this movie because quite frankly, Alice does a horrible job vocally. At least for the first half. You can tell he is totally plastered. I know that this is supposed to be part of the "Alice" character, but lets not kid ourselves: He's tanked. It looks as though he's running totally on instinct from doing the show so much! He forgets lyrics, screws them up(Ethyl, Ethyl come and squeeze me in a farm?), and tends to repeat the first verse of a song over and over again. It's pretty funny, but like I said, a must for Alice fans.

Summary: Good Show! Bad Sound!
Review: Ok, first off, let me make it clear that the only reason why I said bad sound is because it sounds like the recording was done straight off the PA. Just imagine what any live recorded album from the 70's sounds like and that's pretty much what you have here. I feel bad only giving this DVD 3 stars because I really enjoy Alice Cooper, but there were a few misgivings. The biggest one was the sound as I had mentioned. The audio actually changed quality throughout the show. Alice explained that in his commentary that the DVD was put together out of the two shows done the two nights they were at the stadium in London. Other's have mentioned that Rhino took audio from other performances because the tapes were bad. That may be. The actual footage used to make this video was taken from a projection reel. You can tell because of the dots that come up to tell the projectionist when to change the reel. That being the case, and the fact that the film was made in the 1970's, there's nothing bad about the film footage. It's as good as should be expected.

Another misgiving is that Alice was half-cocked, and you could tell. His vocals weren't very good, and he apologizes for that in his interview. However, he was still able to do the show and remember all the choriography. The highlights for me were the dualing guitar solos right before the Black Widow. There was also lots of Vaudville and Burlesqe (I don't know how to spell these), and the Vincent Price narrative. It was actually a pretty hi-tech show for the time. The individual solos at the end of the show were pretty cool too.

If all you've ever seen is 4 fat guys on stage when you went to see a concert, then I suggest checking out an Alice Cooper concert, but if you aren't sure what to expect, then check out Brutally Live before you check this one out. Brutally Live was done very well, though it's not as theatrical as Welcome to My Nightmare.

Summary: EXCELLENT, a bargain at TEN times the price!!!
Review: Simply put, this DVD kicks ***! The concert is great, the video is from a good print, the audio is excellent. Alice is fantastic in this performance and then to find out he is drunk the whole time, like all the postings say, the commentary alone is worth the price. Buy it, you wont regret it!

Summary: ALICE COOPER: WELCOME TO MY NIGHTMARE!
Review: This DVD preserves for posterity ALICE COOPER's awesome stage show (concert does not really do this thing justice) circa 1975! This was as THEATRICAL as things got back then, boys and girls! ALICE was at the height of his popularity and the band performs 15 of their biggest SHOCK-ROCK hits, such as "School's Out," "I'm Eighteen," and "No More Mr. Nice Guy"! They call this one "Welcome to My Nightmare" but I always think of this as the "Billion Dollar Babies" tour! But even beyond the CONCERT ROCK sound there is the make-up! The props! The SPECIAL EFFECTS! All of which made VINCENT FURNIER one of the great rock and roll SHOWMEN of all time! Even better, this DVD has INTERVIEWS and AUDIO COMMENTARY!

Summary: A must have for Alice Cooper fans
Review: This was my first DVD title and well worth the purchase price. This tour was Alice at his highest of heights during his alcohol years. Although I would rather have the Go To Hell tour on DVD, this is fantastic. This looks and sounds stunning. All the great hits are there and the interview track is worth the price alone. Trivia buffs will love it because one of the dancers on this tour wound up becoming Mrs. Alice Cooper.

Summary: Really BAD
Review: This was one of first DVD's I purchased. Being a Cooper fan since the 70's I was anxious to take it home and watch it, after all I had seen Alice in Concert. The lowest rating I could give was a 1 star and that was about 90% too high. What a disappointment! I would suggest to people to save their money. The audio is horrible! The video is just as disappointing! I saw Alice in 1998 and the ticket price was less expensive than the DVD! It made me bring back memories of a worn out 8-track tape. The 8-track had a much higher quality!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Welcome to my nightmare
Review: Totally the best Alice video ever!!!!!Alice Rocks!!!A must for the serious Alice Fan!
