Summary: _________....
Review: I got this DVD/CD last night and watched it 3 times, including all the videos (MURS Risky Business is too funny) live footage, and label documentary, and i'm probably going to watch it again when i get off work. This project is a must own for any Def Jukie. Enough material crammed into one disc to keep you entertained for months regardless of your attention span.

Review: now it is hard for me to understand my previous life before the purchase of this most splendiferous dvd so i read old journals a lot and lay on my hardwood floor waiting for the moment to come when i can go to another friend's house and burn a jiznoint and run the dvd -- def jukkies off the hook!

Summary: definitely for the definitive jux fan
Review: overall a good dvd with lots of footage and extras. i found the label documentary to be the most interesting and insightful part of the dvd. in this section, el-p and the jukies talk about life in new york, the current state of hiphop, and the apocalyptic political climate of the u.s. el-p talks about his influences (blade runner, philip dick), and the jukies give poignant anecdotes about living in the city and coping with obstacles on a daily basis. makes you admire cats like el-p, aesop rock and cannibal ox for their philosophy and keeping the sound fresh, intelligent and innovative.
the rest of the dvd has tour footage for the fans, and def jux music videos you wouldn't otherwise see on tv (stepfather factory, deep space 9mm).
personally, i dont find the jukies to be that great on tour, but i never thought their music was intended to be bumped or to rock a party like
most rap tours do. regardless, the jukies do their thing and u get to see how they live during the tour which i found entertaining. a great dvd for jukie fans, but might be just ok for the casual viewer.

Summary: Worth every penny . . .
Review: Shows the Definitive Jux folks on the road, and off the road just hanging out being themselves. The tour movie, the videos, the label documentary . . . all of them are real, gritty, honest and worth every penny of the purchase price. If you like El-P, Can Ox, Aesop Rock, Lif, Murs, RJD2, C-Rayz and you consider yourself a Def Jukie, then you have to cop this. The video for "Deep Space 9mm" is just too damn cool and too cutting edge to ever appear on MTV (or Empty-V). Just buy it . . .

Summary: revenge of the robots
Review: this is an essential dvd if you are into def jux. its about 200 minutes of footage, so you dont feel cheated like you do with a lot of other dvds. the tour footage is pretty cool. el-p, lif, and rjd2 go around the united states, along with copywrite, cage, and dj fakts one. pretty funny stuff...including el-p slapping some kid, el-p talking about lif's PS2 obsession, and tons of other funny stuff.
the documentary is also pretty good. a lot of footage of el-p, aesop rock, and vast aire from can ox. live videos of 2 lif songs, an rjd2 song, and 2 from el. there are also a couple music videos including the veryfunny Murs one featuring shock g and humpty.
the bottom line is if you are into def jux and have a dvd player, there really is no reason for you to not have this.
