Rating: Summary: A Must Have DVD for Silverchair Fans Review: Across the Night is an excellent documentary that shows us bits and pieces of Silverchair recording Diorama. The 5.1 surround sound is definitely a bonus because it gives you the feeling of being in the middle of the orchestra pit!The only complaint I have is that the Australian release contains videos for all three singles while the American release only contains one. Overall, it's something I would recommend to all fans of Silverchair. Since there is so much going on in the documentary, you probably won't catch everything the first time which is good for repeat viewings!
Rating: Summary: silverchair is the greatest band Review: i thought this DVD was great! if you've seen the making of Neon ballroom, then you'll know how intense behind the scenes/recording is for silverchair (the best band in the world). this DVD is great and totally worth the $30CDN. SANS DOUTE.
Rating: Summary: Good, but short Review: Provides a great look into the writing process, the recording process, the band, and just about any aspect of Diorama. Diorama, the album itself, is one of the greatest peices of music I've ever heard. The DVD really captures what the band put into it. My only problem with this DVD is it's too short. It would have been great to hear some alternate audio tracks, some rehearsal videos, music videos, some live material (it looks like they have some good stuff by looking at the credits). But otherwise, if you liked Diorama, I'd definately pick this up.
Rating: Summary: Silverchair- Just As Sweet as Ever! Review: Waahooo! This DVD was well worth the money!! It shows just how awesome Silverchair really is! Because Silverchair is hardly played on the radio and tv these days, it was sweet to see their music video for "Across the Night." The music video is just as great as the song! I also got to see the music video for "After All These Years." Plus, the DVD showed the stellar performance for "The Greatest View" when Silverchair perfromed at the ARIA Awards! It was sooooo kewl to see them in a live perfrmance for the first time in such a long time! Silverchair is even more awesome they before! This DVD is a major part of my Silverchair collection, just as "Frog Stomp" is! It's a perfect match for their new cd!
