Summary: Its Ok, but not that great
Review: I was dissappointed in this DVD. I found myself more interested in the older footage (of which they only give you snippets). It actually is pretty sad brcause Leslie West looks really old and the audience looks old too. Playing to about 100 people, West and Laing go through some of the standard Mountain cuts. West is not very mobile and tries to make up for his lack of energy with funny anecdotes from the bands past in between songs. West can still sing, though. His guitar playing (I admit I am picky because I am a guitar player too - but hell, that is why I bought it) is decent, although he fiddles around too much with his equipment. The opening of the show is just him screwing around with his effects and guitar. I thouight there would be a better, more hyped up introduction to the show. I felt like I was watching a rehearsal at one point. The old footage that they show is cooler than the show. West has his Les Paul Junior and Felix is playing. I wish they had included whole songs of that stuff.

THE BAND STILL ROCKS AFTER ALL THESE YEARS.
THIS BAND, ALONG WITH NAZARETH, FOGHAT AND BLACK OAK ARKANSAS ARE SOME OF THE GREATEST HARD ROCK BANDS OF ALL TIME.
THE SETLIST ON THIS DVD INCLUDES BOTH NEW AND OLD MOUNTAIN SONGS AND THE SOUND QUALITY IN 5.1 IS GREAT!!
MOUNTAIN FANS, I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND THAT YOU OWN THIS DVD!!!

Summary: Mountain DVD
Review: Leslie!!!!! Get rid of your octave divider & the rest of your effects!!!!! You had one of the best natural tones & vibrato in rock/blues!!!! Crank that Eddie Van Halen Peavey amp clean and lets hear your real magic!! Personally Freddy King smokes your ass, but you used to be number 2!!!! Get back to the real and give us all a thrill!!!!

Summary: Leslie West still rocks !
Review: OK this DVD is not pro shooting; OK the lights are not like fireworks; OK Leslie West is no more 20 (who cares?) BUT i've really enjoyed this DVD.The sound is great by the way.

Because i like his tone, the way he plays , his tune and his voice.
Just plain great rock guitar playing. Very very rare this time.

Much better than other hyper producted rock DVDs.
Go and buy it and simply judge by yourself. If you like real rock guitarist, you will love this one as i do.

Summary: Legendary Rock Band with SUPURB PRODUCTION!
Review: This is a mature MOUNTAIN(sort of).The mainstay bass (Felix Papalardi) is gone. There is no keyboard player(Steve something or other). It does feature Leslie West and Corky Laing. As a fan of 30 something years it was a real pleasure to see two of the icons I listened to constantly.West has really gotten better,in his playing(which is very impressive),as well as his vocals.I never knew how great a drummer Laing was since I never had the chance to see them live, but he is very vert good. The bass is headed by Ritchie Scarlett who is more than adequate for the show. What is supurb is the format this show was shot.Small, intimate, and stacked Marshall amps.West immediately shows the audience he is still the man by jamming to some of the hard licks we identified MOUNTAIN with.He alone would be a compleate show. However, these producers knew what they were doing with 7 cameras and a surround sound package.THEY FINALLY GOT IT RIGHT!This is a must have for anyone who has ever heard of Leslie West.
