Rating: Summary: Metal, the way it should be! Review: Five minutes with this DVD and any metal head will see why Primal Fear is one of the world's best metal bands. Ralf Scheepers is easily the most talented vocalist in the business, and this DVD certainly proves it.After seeing Primal Fear live, I was very proud to see that there is no "BS" with this band. Every note is sang, and played just the way it was on their albums. This dvd is no different. History of Fear definitely does this incredible band justice, truly showing their talent on every track. In fact, I enjoyed this DVD as much as Hammerfall's "The Templar Renegade Crusades", and Iron Maiden's "Rock in Rio", and that's certainly saying something. The dvd is pretty much a concert disc, showing many live performances. Sure, a bunch of goofy backstage scenes would have been great, but with 150+ minutes of live metal, what more can you ask for? Some of my favorite moments were seeing "Living for Metal" "Under your Spell" and "Eye of an Eagle" live, in all their glory. Do yourself a favor. Buy "History of Fear" and enjoy every minute of its headbanging glory. Primal Fear rules.

Rating: Summary: The best music DVD I have seen so far. Review: I recently bought this DVD and I have to say that in terms of onstage performance, it is the best Music DVD I own; even better than such masterworks as Iron Maiden's "Rock in Rio", Manowar's "Blood in Brazil" and Dio's "Evil or Divine". The two factors which make Primal Fear stand out from the crowd when playing live are the "tightness" of the band (it would be nearly impossible to get any tighter) and Ralf and Matt's vocal work. Having a backing singer who is of lead singer standard himself really makes the band excell. Henny also provides better backing vocals than most guitarists would and this adds to the effect. In terms of extras, the videos are excellent and bootleg section is good, but some more interviews would have been a good idea. You also get a Live CD with this DVD, making it great value for money.

Rating: Summary: Primal Fear tears it up live!!! Review: Primal Fear are one of the best heavy metal bands on Earth and this DVD drives that point home! I've had this for a few months now and I still watch it often. The band is super tight and Ralf Sheepers belts those screams out like they're nothing. I've actually converted a few people to the Primal Fear cause simply by showing them this DVD. Anyone with metal pumping through his or her veins will absolutely love it! This DVD has 2 roughly 45 to 50 minute concerts. One is filmed at the wacken open air festival (during the day!!!) and the other is in a club in Stuttgart. Both of them are professionally shot and look and sound fantastic. The extras include two videos: Angel in black Armageddon There is also a "metal report" which is pretty much Ralf talking about PF and metal. There is also a little thing about which wrestlers they like toward the end of this EXTREMELY short segment. Fun nonetheless. There is also a half hour bootleg section that shows (wait for it....) bootleg footage from various concerts around the world. Mixed in with this is some professionally shot snippets of live footage and also the recording of the "black sun" album. The recording bit was cool but it could have been longer. So to close this up, if you're a PF fan and have never seen them live get this. If you're a PF fan and HAVE seen them live get this. If you aren't familiar with PF but love heavy metal get this! Easily one of the best metal DVDs out there. Don't miss out on it!!!
