Rating: Summary: See what Genesis lost... Review: Steve Hackett doing some great variations of classic Genesis stuff (plus Crimson pieces). He is the best thing that happened to the prog rock guitar. If only the classic Genesis line-up had stuck together (even some more GTR would have been good). Nice to see Chester Thompson showing off his extraordinary skills behind the drums. Listen to the end section of 'Firth of Fifth' as it should be played (only misses the unique Collins' drum feel). Watcher of the Skies lacks the morse-code drum rhythm that Collins provided, but it is still excellent. John Wetton doing some good singing considering Gabriel is a hard act to follow - Court of the Crimson King is great. Could do without the sax (but then I personally can't stand the saxophone on anything). A collection of highly skilled prog rock musicians on the same stage, playing some great music. If you like early Genesis - buy it.
Rating: Summary: Great performance / Disappointing DVD Review: The entire concert: song selection, musicians and camera work were all excellent. The less than sharp video quality and the lack of 5.1 audio were disappointing. Maybe I've been spoiled by the incredible audio and video quality of YesSymphonic DVD, but I was expecting more from this.If you are a fan of "Classic" Genesis and Steve Hackett, it's a worthwhile purchase, but the DVD seems to have been simply transfered from video tape without taking advantage of the capabilities offered in the DVD format.
Rating: Summary: A TRUE TRIBUTE TO GENESIS!!! Review: The sellout band formerly known as Genesis put out a very bad DVD"Live from Wembly Stadium". Avoid this DVD as this is a true triubte to Genesis. All the FULL versions of Firth of Fifth, Watcher of the Skies, I Know What I Like, In That Quiet Earth, Horizons, Los Endos and other really great songs! This is a masterpiece!

Rating: Summary: 3 DVDs - all excellent - all different Review: There are three DVDs to date form Steve. They are all excellent and they are all different.
It goes like this:
Tokyo:
Progressive rock, less focus on Steve, more vocals, great classic gennesis tunes with vocals intact.
South America:
Progressive jazz/rock/classical, more focus on Steve, and as Steve says and I agree on of the most precise bands he has ever played with.
Hungary:
Classical trio, with just three musicians, it's hard not to focus on Steve who is just as talented classically, if not more, as he is talented with other styles. There is some mind numbing classical technique here.
The fact that these three DVDs are so different allowed me to buy all three without having to see the same concert with different musicians.
Rating: Summary: good but misses a point Review: this dvd is,from any point of view,a very good and pleasant watch but,for someone who had the audiocd long time ago,i ask, after watching it,what's the advantage of spending money on it? the line-up,as good as it gets,is standing on the stage as if they are frozen and waitinig fot the show to end.No movement,no excitments,nothing...only Ian McDonald is showing that the "in the court" part makes a different for him. But,make no mistake, the nusic is at the highest standart there is,the tracks are a delight for progressive music fans. If you have the money for both the double audio cd and the dvd,go for it.
