Rating: Summary: BEST DVD EVER! PERIOD. Review: Anyone who sees this dvd who likes Cradle of Filth will no longer just "like" Cradle of filth. Cradle of Filth will become one of their all time favorite bands and this will be there all time favorite concert DVD! The live footage on here captures all the atmosphere they record on their albums and sickens it! Danis goes from a high shriek to a menacing demonic growl that will send a chill down your spine and a satisfieing evil grin on your face. I don't know why we never here dani change his voice like that in the studio recordings. Listen to "Lord abortion" on midian compared to the live version on "this dvd".Dani almost looks possesed as he growls out "I was born with a birthmak of cinders, debris cast fom the stars and mother,a ring of bright slaughter,i spat in the waters of life that ran slick from the stabwounds in her"It just sounds soo F*Cking AWSOME! The live version makes the one on midian sound like a britny spears song. Again I don't know why they f*ck with the vocals while mixing and producing there albums,it makes it sound like pop music, just listen to the song mannaquin or any song from "midian" or "Damnation and a day" or "Nimphetamine" AND YOU'LL KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT! Now back to the dvd. The sound on the dvd is perfect you can hear every instrument perfectly. This DVD also has Gian before he left the band!(sigh)if only they had nick barker, than the dvd would get 6 stars! I also like how they play some of thier older material, instead of playing 80 percent songs from midian. The tracks they perform are all equally sick as F*CK with an exception of "from the cradle to enslave" that song is kind of [...]. Watch the whole concert staight through and don't skip a track. first time i saw this i was blown away and still am today! If only I could go back in time and be at that show! This DVD changed my life (i'm not kidding). So go out and buy this now! Or order it from here!

Rating: Summary: Excellent music DVD Review: Excellent Sound, Excellent Picture, Tons and Tons of songs. Love the Scorched Earth Erotic video. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because I don't think they let their female singer sing enough, it adds a nice goth touch. I also did not give it five stars because it would have been nice to have the "her ghost in the fog" video on here, and finally I thin Dani could have done better on some parts of the songs. For example: On "her ghost in the fog" (live version), he chooses to growl in that typical death metal voice, instead of talking in the deep gothic voice like he does on the album. By using this growly voice, I think he is cheese'n off some of the songs best parts. Anyway, these are minor gripes and this is a must have DVD, so definitely BUY IT!...
Rating: Summary: CRADLE OF FILTH (HEAVY LEFT-HANDED & CANDID) Review: First off, I didn't have to wait long for this evil gem to grace my presence,I waited a few days and it showed up in perfect condition. This DVD will take over be warned. Left Handed is filled with great COF footage, including a great 74 minute concert shot in Nottingham. Left Handed & Candid is full of lots of extras, it gives a new perspective on the filthy band members, these guys don't sit around at home worshipping satan because their too busy killing eardrums getting rowdy at bars and having a bloody good time, Left Handed is filled with laughs, especially the damned stilt walkers throwing up "i love you" signs ,instead of "metal".Oh well everyone can't be perfect like us Cradle of Filth fans, but Heavy Left Handed & Candid comes close enough, enjoy over and over."shades of dusk, cruelty and myth, the tribes of christ will not forgive, and shall not suffer their kind to live"--TSA,COF
Rating: Summary: THIS CRADLE WILL ROCK Review: I always have had an Affinity for Cradle of Filth's music. Theirs is an amalgam of death growls, searing metal riffs and classical music stirred in a cauldron of intensity and poise which defies a definitive label or genre. But until I actually viewed their live concert, I was merely an amused dabbler in their aural arts. Here are several observations regarding this DVD: First, the amazingly high quality of sight and sound that they were able to produce. I highly recommend their follow-up album "Live Bait For The Dead", which really amplifies how extremely talented this band is. Their set list was carefully selected and performed with a near flawless pinache. Second, I was mesmerized by the transformation of Dani, the lead singer. His stage presence, expressions and extremely wide vocal range is absolutely captivating when performing, yet he appears quite innocuous, if not down right normal, when the music stops. Third, how the hell does he do so much screaming without ripping out his vocal cords? This DVD showcases the best of Cradle in their "Music For Nations" period. Now that they've signed with a major label, Sony, watch for the filth to hit the fan! I believe that with the advent of their forthcoming album, "Damnation and a Day", which will feature an actual choir and orchestra, they are going to take a quantum leap into the music world, and make the banal, impotent corporate world of music sit up and take notice. They seem quite dedicated to giving the maximum to their fans, both musically and artistically. The quality of this DVD is unsurpassed, including the liner notes. The only thing I would have suggested is omitting the "Blair Twit Project", which is totally useless (as was the actual movie). All the musicians in this band are consummate performers in their own right. I lament the fact that Gian will be leaving as guitarist and can only hope they find a suitable replacement. In all, this is the finest music DVD that I own and I can only give it my highest recommendations. I also suggest that you check out their CD's - and since you can't QUITE make out all the lyrics to the songs, all of their recordings come with the lyrics and you will be absolutely amazed at the depth and talent of Dani's (somewhat twisted)poetry - amazingly rich in gothic tone and imagery unsurpassed by anything I've ever encountered in a rock band. So get this DVD, sit back, and experience phenomenon which is Cradle of Filth.
Rating: Summary: sweet stuff here Review: I got the autographed edition, and Cradle of Filth is my favorite band, so I guess I'm pretty...biased, but still I'd like my say on this... Obviously, they put a lot of work in trying to make the look and feel of the concert they recorded as atmospheric as they possibly could. The images, for as far as I paid attention, stroked perfectly with what was played. The whole thing looked very energetic and real to me. I have definately enjoyed this part. The documentary is a load of bollocks, but in a good way. It's just not the thing if you were looking for deep insightfull info into the lives of the bandmembers. The videoclips are.. Cradle of Filth. I can't really put it differently. Their way with B-movie splatterhorror must appeal to you, otherwise you'll be thoroughly unimpressed. I personally love what they do and don't think they've made a single bad song so far, but I can easily see how you'd disagree. In short, take the whole thing (except the live-footage) with a grain of salt, as I think the band itself does, and you'll pee yourself laughing. :)

Rating: Summary: Heavy, Left-Handed & Candid Is One Filth-y DVD! :-) Review: I purchased this DVD very shortly after it was released from Cradle's site and got one of the autographed copies. After waiting a good four and a half weeks for it, it finally arrived. So obviously, I watched it the very night I got it. Running a good 160 minutes, here's what I thought of it... The first portion is a small introduction from Dani himself, which then goes into the concert portion. An excellent set list is presented featuring "Lord Abortion," "Ebony Dressed For Sunset," "The Forest Whispers My Name," "Cthulhu Dawn," "Dusk and Her Embrace," "The Principle of Evil Made Flesh," "Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids," "Her Ghost in the Fog," "Summer Dying Fast," "From the Cradle to Enslave," and "Queen of Winter, Throned." The picture quality is fabulous on it and camera work is very well done. I'm impressed with it, what more can I say? The extras are very entertaining indeed. First is a "schlockumentary" which basically features the clips from the tour, the band bullshxting around, and some other cool stuff (don't want to ruin it or anything.) It's just not the in-depth biography you should expect, but it's good for some laughs and behind-the-scenes-type stuff. Next is the "Scorched Earth Erotica" promo videos, both the Nasty and Very Nasty versions. Again, I'm not going to ruin them, but they're pretty decent. The "Born in a Burial Gown" video is included as well, which has some excellent effects in it. Next is "The Blair Twit Project" that's rather humorus in itself as well. The "Cradle of Fear" trailer is also included, with a small creature feature and DVD-ROM weblinks. Overall, it's definitely worth the money if you're a Cradle of Filth fan. If you aren't, I'm not promising a single thing. There's not much more that can be said about it.
Rating: Summary: Lefthanded left me Branded... Review: I think this has to be the Very Best concert video I have ever seen. The sound quality is Beyond anyones meager expectations. The stellar performance and videography also well beyond the norm for an endeavor of this type. I found once I had put this in my DVD player that I was compelled to watch it in its entirety and would have to say, in my opinion, this video surpasses RAMMSTEIN's and NIN's live videos. The extra footage showing the bands humorous side was hysterical too say the least. With 2and 2-3rds of an hour of footage its worth every penny you'll pay for it. BY FAR THE BEST LIVE PERFORMANCE DVD I HAVE EVER SEEN. Don't deny yourself the pleasure, buy it...NOW!
