Summary: Tried it again
Review: I'm puzzled as to why my 3rd listening changed my perspective of this DVD. The first two plays had some serious sound level and distortion problems and now it seems to be working ok. To a POINT. Her point!

Summary: Here is the Lowdown, Sweet-N-Simple!!!
Review: I'm usually not one to write reviews,
but I absolutely felt compelled to write this one, just for YOU.
If you are an Alanis fan, you NEED to get this!
You will truly regret not owning this.

Alanis is a true artist; a true human spirit!
She is still in her very prime; still at the "top of HER game"
Alanis knows how to give you the chills, make you
laugh, and break your heart.

This is her best work yet.
Believe me when I say: this package is well worth your money.
These are no scraps, but rather true gems,
or at the very least, the best scraps you will have ever
tasted in a very long time.

Alanis, if you can hear me:
Thank you for touching me deeply in my heart.
You'll never know how much I admire, respect, &
LOVE you. You are a bright, shining star in this
marvelous, crazy confusion we call existence.

Love,
Time Traveler

Summary: Very Cool
Review: I've seen much of the parts of this DVD already on the feast on scraps website. Very cool. Definately worth it! I would strongly encourage anyone who is into Alanis Morissette's music and anyone who hasn't heard much about her (though I don't know how you could have missed her) to pick up a copy of this CD/DVD set. Go for it.

Summary: Alanis at her best
Review: It's hard to believe that these are the songs that were left off of Under Rug Swept... The eight new tracks on the CD are all wonderful and more than worthy of being released on an album. A 'Feast on Scraps', indeed. A wonderful CD from a wonderful artist. It's difficult to think of a better singer that is also capable of writing her own lyrics... And as always, the lyrics shine, especially on Bent For You and Sister Blister.

Summary: Great live footage plus interview segments
Review: The DVD is basically about 2 hours of live performances from her recent tour. In between each song there is a short segment with interviews of Alanis and her touring bandmates, and bits of Alanis acting goofy (which are a highlight :) The performances are fun to watch, and the in-between segments are funny and interesting, giving insight into Alanis' more personal side.

The only problem I had with this DVD is that on some of the songs, the sound quality would briefly degrade when the camera changed angles. Not sure if this is related to the 'Linear PCM' encoding for some of the shots, but I digress.

Overall, a solid buy.

Summary: Fire the sound engineer
Review: This DVD is excellent except for one major complaint. The variations of sound levels is hard on the ears. The sound practically cuts out for several seconds on "Hand In My Pocket".There are several cuts from one scene to another during a song, and as a result the sound levels change throughout the song.I guess this is what "Scraps" is referring to.

Summary: excellent as always
Review: This DVD/CD is great, the new songs in it should have made the cut in URS, but I'm glad they didn't for there is something to hold us (alanis' fans) up until her next studio album. I especially liked Bent for you, Simple together and Unprodigal daughter, and, of course, the acoustic version of hands clean, though all the songs are great!! Here Alanis shows why she's the best!

Summary: Rip Off
Review: What a let down this DVD is. The sound quality is BAD. Songs are
continually being interupted by her egotistic antics. I purchased her first DVD and returned it to the shop in total disgust. When I saw that she had released another I assumed that lessons would have been learned but sadly not. I will not be shelling out any more of my cash on this kind of self indulgence.
