Summary: Great collection!
Review: Much praise for this collection - the label was smart enough to take the original VHS release and make it better on DVD by adding all the videos missing from the VHS. This has every single video by Simply Red (that I know of!) I wish it was in DTS, but I'm more interested in having all of a performer's videos on one disc. They left nothing off!

Summary: An impressive history of the band
Review: This DVD is great -- 26 videos tracing the evolution of Simply Red. You can also see the maturation of Mick Hucknall, from a rather goofy but likable lead singer to a charismatic frontman with a GQ fashion sense. Three of the videos are concert clips ("Thrill Me," "Your Mirror" and "So Beautiful"); the rest are regular promotional videos. The best ones include "The Air That I Breathe," done in the tradition of "The Boy in the Plastic Bubble;" the London-is-partying theme of "Ain't That a Lot of Love;" and the inspirational "We're in This Together." There's a few too many shots of Mick flipping his hair back during his dreadlocked days, but the music is consistently oustanding. All music-video compilations should be this complete!

Summary: 20 Years of Talent Before Your Eyes
Review: Watch the band grow with every new and wonderful performance.

Summary: Greatest Video Hits: The title says what it means!
Review: With over 5 multiplatinum albums and nearly 30 smash hit singles sold worldwide, Mick Hucknall has very little left to prove in both his contribution towards the band he started almost 20 years back and his establishment of the name Simply Red 20 years later now.

This collection features a complete 26 clips of Hucknall's career spinning songs up to the last studio album - LOVE AND THE RUSSIAN WINTER - celebrating from personal childhood poignancy, sentimental melancholy, love and understanding (or the lack of it), anxiety of yearning, to a certain kind of universal optimism which the multi-talented artist penned himself or co-wrote with.

The clips of these videos are often downright sense-making of good old fashion, some innovative and stylish with posh contemporary backdrop setting, or zeitgeistic theme.

Highlights of the collection include the econ-hardship reflecting MONEY'S TOO TIGHT TO MENTION, the memory flashing IF YOU DON'T KNOW ME BY NOW, the crying-out loud YOU'VE GOT IT, the "live" and passionate YOUR MIRROR, the modern sexistic NEVER NEVER LOVE, the thoughtful love epic SAY YOU LOVE ME, and the last fairy tell-tale number YOUR EYES.

Don't miss this DVD as the title says what it truly means: Greatest Video Hits!
