Review: FF is awesome live..........a bootleg recording is not meant to capture what can only be usurped from a live show.

ps - FF, if you are reading this, COME BACK TO THE BOTTLENECK in LAWRENCE, KS

Summary: Only for the most die-hard FF fans...
Review: I consider myself a huge fan of Fear Factory's music-they're one of my top 5 favorites, and that's from a collection of over 700 CD's. Demanufacture, Obsolete and Digimortal are without a doubt the best industrial metal out there.

That said, this DVD is interesting, but not something I'd want for repeat viewing. My main interest was the live clips, as I wanted to see what they were like live. I kind of wish I hadn't. The sound quality on the live clips is bootleg at best, probably because most of it came from fan shot video. While Ray and Dino are dead on with the guitar and drums live, the bass and vocals just weren't on in most of clips. It's a shame, because this band does some fantastic studio work, with the help of Rhys Fulber of course.

I find music videos in general uninteresting, and the interview parts are too few and far between to be worth the price.

This would be a great DVD for someone who has FF tattooed somewhere on their body, or someone who is obsessed with the band's members, but for those who like them mainly for their recordings, this may let you down a bit. At least it's better than the Type O After Dark DVD-that was a waste...

Summary: One of the greatest heavy metal bands ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: I've read that a lot people didn't like this dvd because of bad audio quality. This only made me want it even more, and let me tell you, it's worth it! A couple of highlights are the onstage performances, music videos, and footage of the band on the road(very humorous!!!) No one can deny how good this is, this dvd is for any Fear Factory fan. Don't forget to check out their albums-Soul Of A New Machine, Demanufacture, Obsolete, and Digimortal, and the album that got them signed, Concrete, coming July 30th, 2002.

Review: If your a fear factory fan than this DVD is your best bet, but I was a little dissapointed that the footage was taken from other live shows. It would have been nice to see them jam on one live performece but none the less its a good buy. From a serious metal head's perspective, pick up the sepultura chaos DVD or live cannibalism DVD you will get hours of metal meyhem

Summary: "Welcome to the world of FEAR FACTORY"
Review: Over ten years ago Fear Factory dropped a bomb on the metal world, and it's never been the same since. This is a MUST HAVE for any FF fan, hardcore or not. Over 80 min. of the band, from a bunch of live performances, to videos, to the guys talking about their history, and just jokin' around. The live stuff isn't the best ever, but I don't know why everyone always complains about the audio on bands live performances? The live songs on this are fine, I didn't even really notice if some of them were a little scratchy. When you're a fan, you put up with the little imperfections. This is an excellent DVD, no matter what anyone may say. WELL worth the money, you won't be disappointed. Truly, one of the greatest metal bands of all time, from their beginning to their untimely demise, these guys where in a class of their own! This is the real breed baby, you just don't hear stuff like this anymore:( There will never be another...FF forever!

Summary: Live Show in your Living Room
Review: Put this one in, turn it up and get ready to mosh. Fear Factory is one of the best bands of our generation. Every CD they have made has been the great, and this DVD just highlights the best songs off of each album. The highlights are the live footage of "Matyr" and "Edgecrusher", and all the music videos. This is almost as good as their live shows. Viewing this will make you want to see them in concert the next day. My only complaint is that it was only 2 hours long, I wish it was longer.

Summary: Not Bad...Not Great
Review: This DVD i have wanted for a while. I finally got it around 2 months ago, and it was cool to sit down and finally watch and see Fear Factory live and all that, but i was left disappointed afterwards. The main problem with it is the sound of the Live shows. Really poor in my opinion. Though there are alot of these clips, that doesn't really make up for the fact they don't sound too good. This DVD has stuff dating all the way back to the early 90's album Soul of a New Machine, to Digimortal. It has all of their VideoClips, which are pretty cool. It has 8 bonus audio tracks, which are good, but if you already have the CD "Hatefiles" there's nothing new. It also has a discography, showing you every CD they have brought out, singles included...

But all in all, I'm a fan of Fear Factory myself, but i was just disappointed in it really.
I hope they come out with a Concert DVD soon, that has better sound Quality. But aside from all that, if you are into FF and want to see what they look like Live, and have yet to see all of their VideoClips, check it out......3/5 I expected more.
