Summary: What a garbage movie (concert)....
Review: Pure waist of money, guys. Worth less than a buck!

Summary: Kiss: The Second Coming
Review: SECOND COMING is a generally entertaining doco of KISS's 1996 reunion makes strange viewing for those who have read KISS AND MAKE UP.
Features reunion rehearsal footage which is pretty cool: viewers are treated to the sight of a scaled-down KISS minus all the glitz and pyrotechnics reduced to just four guys jamming and having fun. Other standouts include the sight of Gene wearing a shower cap while applying his makeup, the extremely lucky Paul Stanley surrounded by gorgeous butt nekkid women for a photo shoot as well as the amazing work that goes into designing the set for the tour and Peter Criss's brilliant drum solo.
The DVD also includes the live video of SHOUT IT OUT LOUD, and live performances of DETROIT ROCK CITY and SHANDI. This could be dismissed by some as just another license to print money to put in the pockets of the ageing Comic Book Monsters Of Rock, but if you're a die hard fan you'll probably enjoy it. It's just a shame that they're trying to relive their makeup glory days, it would have been cool to have seen some material from CREATURES OF THE NIGHT or REVENGE on here. Just because they weren't recorded with the Klassic Kiss lineup doesn't mean they're throwaways. Bruce Dickinson does some of the Bayley era Iron Maiden stuff in concert (SIGN OF THE CROSS) so why can't Kiss do UNHOLY or I LOVE IT LOUD with Ace and Peter?

Summary: An excellent documentary lacking only in concert footage!
Review: The video version of this is a documentary about the reunion of the hottest band in the world! It's nothing more and it's nothing less. It picks up where KISS X-Treme (1974-1992), or for many fans KISS: The End Of A Dynasty (1973-1979), leave off. It starts with Peter Criss rejoining the band for a song at a convention. Then it leads to the Unplugged concert with Ace Frehley and it continues to follow KISS through out their re-union tour. It ends with promotions for what will be the KISS' Psycho Circus CD. Most buyers will be disappointed with the lack of concert footage but, if you love the original KISS, this is still a worth while investment. It will show your favorite band getting back together and the trials of touring together after spending seventeen years apart. It's great just seeing Gene, Paul, Peter and Ace together again and the reaction of KISS fans through out the world. A full KISS concert can be saved for another video, assuming they'll ever actually release that. I know, dream on!

Summary: Everything You've been waiting for!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: The x-tra 32 pge booklet that the video comes with is a nice bonus. There is also plenty of music from the old days in the background. It's nice to know that Duece, Strutter, and DRC are not the only songs heard by all of us kiss fans!!!!!!! Check out this video!!!!!!!!

Summary: A Must For all KISS Fans
Review: This DVD a must for every kiss fan out there. This dvd has
everything a kiss fan wants [back stage, concert and rehersal footage]. But one minus is the concert footage, each scene
is very brief. But over all this dvd is definetly worth buying.

Summary: Not strong in the history, BUT STILL COOL!
Review: This is a great DVD, it goes for about 2 hours on its own and also has 3 extra video clips that weren't included on the VHS version. If you own 'KISS X-TREME CLOSE UP', then you definitely need this one to complete the KISSTORY Saga! Not as strong in the storytelling of the band's history though ('X-Treme Close Up' was stronger) but this DVD is still pretty effective in that department.
It focuses more on the reunion between the original band members; so don't get 'SECOND COMING' if you want a DVD that explains the history of KISS.
All KISS fans should love this DVD, but it's a shame that a lot of the 'Non-Makeup' songs will/have faded away...

Down Sides:
*As far as the history parts go, this DVD is way too brief on the 1980 - 1993 KISS years.
*Nothing is said about how Bruce Kulick and Eric Singer had to leave the band to make way for Ace and Peter, what happened there?...

Summary: TOTALLY WASTED - TYPICAL KISS
Review: THis is another made-for-money product by KISS. I love the band, but this VDV is mean, man! After a mind-numbing fast introduction to the beginning of the band's career (with light-fast editing that makes your head spins!, all we've got is an endless collection of footage taken from shows and interviews around the world, without a single one compelte live song displayed without narration. There's no one single interview made direct for the film, containing the band member or their manager or whatever. The DVD is empty, it lacks depth. It could have been great, because they were generous in its running time (122 minutes). But, as it is, it's just garbage.

Summary: A MUST NOT FOR ALL KISS FANS...
Review: THis is my "LAST COMING" for KISS. I had enought of their cheap tricks. This DVD has nothing, no live footage, no complete set of live songs, no straight ahead interview. It's made of bad edition, each tak takes less than one second!! Also, one can clearly see that there's absolutely no chemistry anymore between Ace /Criss versus Stanley / Simmons.

Also, one must remember that is a product talking about the reunion tour after the swindle of PSYCHO CIRCUS, an album where Criss and Frehley were credited but where, in truth, they barely played!!!...
