Summary: Full-scale production
Review: A great deal of effort was put into the production of the "Familiar to Millions" DVD. There are the extras, including amateur-style short clips featuring crazed fans before, during, and after the show, interesting menu graphics and interludes, and of course the show itself. The concert footage is creatively shot and edited, with a dozen camera angles that melt together and weave a visual treat. Picture quality is OK, although some of the wide shots look pixelated and rough. The close-ups of Liam and the band offer the greatest pleasure, and the projection screens behind the group provide a colorful backdrop.

Although the concert mirrors the audio CD (with the exception of a few different versions of songs - Wonderwall being one), the sound quality is not as dynamic as the CD. Noel's voice seems to be potted down, especially on Acquiesce, and the distinct "pop" on the snare drum that is so prevelant on the CD, is absent.

What contributes to the concert experience is the intra-song bantor between the brothers Gallagher. Their constant hurling of insults and cursing to the audience just adds charm to the show. I would recommend this to all Oasis fans.

Summary: Next Best thing to the real one
Review: Before the DVD i brought the Audio CD and since then i wanted to see these guys playing the music, so i brought the DVD and it was awesome. The concert atmoshphere could not have been captured any better. The Audio and Video quality is excellent. Some of the songs also have multi camera views which you can choose. I liked the extras that came with the DVD.

VERDICT: I would definetely buy it, a must for any rock lover

Summary: Crisp, vibrant 'looking' DVD!
Review: Couldn't believe it but I finally have the disc in my hands after months of delays. :-)The picture quality of the disc is rather stunning. I kept saying to myself just how *good* and crisp it looks. The colors were very well rendered and vibrant. Easily scores a 10 on video presentation.Audio left me a bit disappointed though. On the CD, I could make out the vocals with ease but the DVD had a lot more bass to it leaving the singing a bit muddled at times.Very nice use of the extras along with animated menus, very smooth and professional. My biggest complaint lies with the documentary. Very little of the band is shown and what we end up seeing are some of the most drunken... on the face of the earth...at least I hope they were because if that's how they act sober and mentally "fit" then I am truly frightened for the people of England. Rather embarassing to say the least. I understand Noel himself was less than complimentary about the fans shown. There were moments I literally had to look away from the screen, as I closed my eyes I thought "These people are allowed in public????"Regardless of the "documentary", this is absolutely THE best looking concert DVD I have watched and I must say, well worth the wait!....

Summary: Best concert DVD I've ever seen.
Review: Exciting, fun, full of energy. Solid set list with many hits that make the 50,000 member crowd bounce and boil. Fun to watch the ever-confident Gallagher brothers interact with that massive crowd. Camera coverage is superb and varied. Sound quality is great. Nice interactive menus, great bonus materials. This DVD gets my highest recommendation.

Summary: Mad Fer It
Review: For any Oasis fan, this DVD is top! Especially for the fans that have been waiting since November for the DVD to turn into a Region 1 disk. The Gig is awesome, however There and Then could possibly be more hype. Anyway, for an oasis fan or music fan who wants to know how oasis has been in the last year, well this DVD is for you.

Awesome gig and special features! cheers

Summary: One of the best live performances of the century
Review: Granted, I am a huge Oasis fan so my opinions a bit slated, but these guys really give it their musical all in this. I am listening to the CD right now and the guitars of Noel and Gem are blisteringly amazing and Liams vocals, while a bit rough and not suited for a song or two on the CD, clearly belts out what rock'n'roll is all about. It truly is one of the greatest albums of the year and the greatest performance from the greatest band of the last 30 years.

As quoted from the Neil Young song Hey Hey My My (which is on the CD)- Rock N Roll will never die - as long as Oasis is in the front of the Rock N Roll scene,

Cheers to the next album and tour with the Balck Crowes

Summary: Great music - good show.
Review: I am not a huge fan of stadium concerts but if you enjoy Oasis or are new to them, this DVD covers their best songs. Liam's voice is not at his best but it's still quite good. The additional DVD information beyond the concert itself covers the concert-goer and band activities leading up to, during and after the concert, some of which are quite funny. Other than that, the additional DVD sections are more informational than anything else. The DVD special features are average.

Summary: Disappointing arrangement
Review: I enjoy Oasis but I was disappointed by the arrangement of this DVD. The crowd noise drowns out many of the vocals. If you've always wanted to hear the crowd sing along with Oasis then buy this, if not then save you money for the CD's.
