Summary: Reliving a great night in Columbus
Review: I saw the NIN Fragility show in Columbus on April 15, 2000. I am so happy with how this dvd turned out. I am such an admirer of the entire NIN body of work and I give this dvd 4 stars only because I bought a dvd of the In The Flesh tour with Roger Waters before this one and I truly don't know if people can beat the stage production of his show...I would give Roger 5 stars and NIN 4.9...I can really see where Pink Floyd and Roger's solo tours have influenced the visual concepts and the design of having peaks and drops in the songs and development of the "perfect" set list with the highs and lows covering all eras of their material. Fantastic all around...I am glad we were kept waiting...it was worth it...oh, and a few extras on disc two made having the second disc necessary....I was starting to wonder why the 2nd disc was so short! Very cool for anyone who appreciates a talented group of guys on a stage performing music for people who can think...you won't believe it but, there's 5 guys on stage, and no choreography!!!! That doesn't happen on many tours lately...it's so refreshing.

Summary: remarkable
Review: This DVD seriously rocks. From the excellent titles and menus to the sweet stage show the band puts on, this DVD maintains a technically stellar feel throughout the performances. I look forward to watching this over and over, with or without even turning the TV on. There are also hidden features and multiple viewing angles for your pleasure.

Trent Reznor sounds very good, and the 5.1 Dolby Digital mix puts out some great audio. I was not able to see them when they toured, but that's ok because this DVD seemed to be designed to replicate the experience. They certainly do a great job doing so. Unlike some other concert DVD's I have bought or rented, the vocals and music sound very rich and .

I would highly recommend this DVD. No really, I would. I am placing it ultra high on my must-have DVD list. 5-stars baby!

Summary: Apocalypse Now for the ears(and eyes)
Review: Trent Reznor is the ultimate multimedia rocker and it shows on this stunning performance DVD from the 2000 tour of the same name. Warning-this one isn't for those who want an uplifting experience. The incendiary guitar powered techno-rock of NIN succeeds as usual in evoking a powerful sense of dread and foreboding. A carefully chosen setlist and multimedia artist Bill Viola's eerie projections jerk the viewer\listener back and forth between calm and unrest in a cinematic fashion almost like a concert version of Apocalypse Now.

Outstanding cinematography, dazzling 5.1 sound, remarkable musicianship and the strangely compelling music and presence of Trent Reznor. It's pure genius...

Summary: I think the Eurpoen Fragilty Tour had better concert films!
Review: I saw a special on Nine Inch Nails on MTV in 1999 and they way cooler visuals. Plus, I was a little upset that this DVD didn't include Into the Void and We're in this Together Now, both standout tracks and singles form The Fragile. I just wish the whole concert would have been placed on this set!
But on the bright side this does capture an excellent NIN concert experience. The sound and picture quality are amazing. I love the DVD menu, it gives the impression that your player is "somewhat damaged" very inventive of those people at Nothing records.

Summary: Stellar
Review: I own many concert dvd's, most of which I occasionally watch, this is the only dvd in my collection that gets played regularly, the audio and video quality are unmatched, this is the dvd I play when I invite friends over to demo my home theatre system. The sound quality is so good it doesnt sound like he's singing live, its that good. This set is split over 2 discs because Trent maxed out the bitrate of the transfer, and it shows. My only 2 critics of this is that they could have interacted with the audience more and I wish the set list included more from Pretty Hate Machine and The Downward Spiral, 2 of my favorite albums of all time; but this was the Fragility tour so I can forgive him for that.

Summary: powerful, driven music
Review: high energy, neural bashing, soul-eviscerating sounds and visions from some kind of hyper-creative mind. NIN is one of those bands: whether you buy their albums or not, they deliver the goods in a live format.

Review: My friends and I just sat in awe of the sound on this DVD. Unbelievable.. i wish there were more like it. This is now what i use when I want to show off my system.

Summary: GREAT!
Review: This DVD is one of the best out there. Well worth the price too!

It captures NIN on stage and at their best. It's complete in terms of song selections.

What prevents me from giving this a 5 star rating is the way the concert is split in half by the 2 DVDs. I mean, they could've let the song ended nicely on the first DVD and then continue on to the second but NO.....they had to do it abruptly.

Trent and his obsessions with double Cds and double DVDs...geez.

Summary: A GREAT LIVE CONCERT DVD
Review: A really well presented live concert, a little frustrating that it is split across two discs though... the sound has been well captured, and the songs sound interestingly different to those on the records that they are taken from. pretty pricey though, although the package is in a typically smart NIN style. the still gallery is huge! i tried the tip to access the hidden extras (" Select the song "Head Like a Hole" on disc 2, at the "11:20" mark, hit the number "7", then, press "Enter." You will then be treated to a SECRET "Easter Egg" and or "Hidden Extras" menu.") as suggested below, but i can't get this to work... although i was able to obtain a wide angle for 'gave up'. can anyone help me here? if so, email me: ipi2m2n@leeds.ac.uk - thanx!

Summary: Amazing Concert, although more material needed
Review: The NIN DVD is one I've had for a while although just now writing a review for. Anyways, I really enjoyed the concert. This is definitely one of the best performances they've ever put on. The songs are dead-on, tight and extremely passionate (I do own a couple of live NIN performances that have been extremely sloppy and boring). My favorite track is "La-Mer" which I guess stands for 'The Ocean' in italian or something. It was one of my favorite songs of all time when I heard it on The Fragile CD, and it is made even better on this live DVD. Also, the setting in the concert is great, they didn't put up dreary drapes or anything messy or morbidly dark at this show. It's more technically futuristic looking, with 3 screens of various pictorials in the background that really add to the dramatic effect of the music, not to mention great lighting effects as always. The sound quality is top-notch and the picture is one of the sharpest I've ever seen on DVD. The technical stuff on this disc really is great. Any NIN fan would love it.
There is a reason I only gave it three stars though. One is that they didn't have to put this on 2 separate DVDs. The concert really doesnt last all that long. I have a feeling they only did it so it could seem like more of a value, thus raising the price. Also, besides the concert, there is nothing else on this disc. No backstage footage, no interviews, nothing. Just the typical sound/picture and chapter selections. It almost felt like I was cheated by Trent. After the brilliant "Closure" 2 VHS set, with more backstage stuff then you can shake a 10 foot pole at, this DVD seemed like it was just made to cash in after the hype of the "And All That Could Have Been" 2 CD set (which was also brilliant). Did Trent sell-out? I'd hope not, although he's usually a man who keeps to himself and you only hear of them after a CD release every 5 years or so. Anyways, besides this minor quiff, this is technically speaking a great DVD, also a great concert any NIN fan would love. I recommend it, just be warned that after the concert, you might feel something empty inside, and dissapointed that the set has nothing more to offer.
