Summary: Proof of what Ozzy is.
Review: 1. A sell out, clear and simple. Supporting Slipknot, Papa Roach, Limp Bizkit ect. as metal, need I say more? This is the only reason why he gets to play at big arenas, stay on the radio, as well as MTV, because he betrayed the metal scene. Clear and simple. Maiden, Megadeth, Iced Earth, Type O' Negative and Dio havent betrayed it, so thats why their fame isnt as popular now days or never will be, because they hate this false metal, and will not support it whatsoever. Just read the interviews by these bands for yourself. Alot of people say if Ozzy didnt support this nu metal, then he wouldnt make any money, please!! The non sell out bands I just listed arent as popular, yet they make bundles of money, sold out world shows everytime. So there are plenty of true metalheads out there that know whats going on, and still stick with the real metal bands.

2. Ozzy's vocals are off key. Just listen to Mr. Crowley, No more tears, Mama im coming home or Bark at the moon, the list goes on. Not saying you cant like his voice, I do admit it is unique, but not mature at all. Also alot of people say he is a genius. A man who bit heads off bats and pigeons, someone who moons people on stage, as well as not knowing any other word except the F word. Thats a legend? I think not. Wake up Ozzy lovers and realize a true musician doesnt do those kinds of things, especially not a legend. Thats also one reason why he gets so much attention, a bit immature wouldnt you say?

3. Now, Ozzy however has great music, and has worked with some fascinationg guitarists, bassists and Drummers, but this great music with his vocals that do not fit, just doesnt cut it. I admit Ozzy is a pretty good songwriter when it comes to lyrics, however only his musicians right the music. It should be obvious he knows nothing about writing music or keys, offkey vocals, cant play any instrument, almost ready to fall over on stage. Even when he was with the legendary sabbath, the man who started it all? Please, Dio has been doing music before Ozzy was even born. I admit Tony and Geezer along with Bill rocked, Ozzy was just an old school mate who sung badly with them, but they liked it. So the Sabbath players are maybe what started it, but not ozzy, he was just lucky to be able to sing with them. So this review will be hated and everything, but at least I have proof about this, yet im respecting his music minus vocals, thats why it gets 2 stars. Ozzy lovers at least know this man is immature as well as incredible silly, yet worked with great musicians. Thats all.

Summary: Behold the Ozzman cometh !!
Review: A lot of music fans must be wondering why bands like to record live albums in Japan, esp. when the fans are more subdued, well behaved and very appropriately (or unappropriately, depending on how u see it!) dressed for metal concerts. But upon finishing watching this, the answer is pretty simple. Quality.

The visual quality here is simply astounding, and this is definitely the most visually appealing DVD that I have. The images are really sharp, with the camera angles changing constantly. The audio mix is excellent as well, and you can really compare the difference with the Megadeth DVD. Zakk's guitar is HUGE here, with tons of distortion and gain which enables him to pull off wicked sounding harmonics. The bass and drums, however, could use some improvement esp. with the lower frequencies.

Zakk was simply terrific here, nailing every single note with conviction and with great style too ! His huge beard did give me a shock at first, and along with those wrist brace, he really did look like a true metal warrior lol. His lead playing on stage has improved tremendously since the Loud and Live days as he seems to be more careful and attentive to hitting the right notes. And damn those pinch harmonics of his ..

Ozzy has really aged alot since I last saw him. However, he did pull of the vocals pretty well I must say. Great job indeed for a guy his age (the guys at Deep Purple sure could use some lessons from him!) Mike Bordin was awesome, and he really filled up the gaps well with plenty of varied beats and ultra cool drum rolls. He's definitely injected that missing aggression into the songs.

I've yet to check out the extra features tho, but I must say, this is truly an impressive live performance and a HUGE improvement from the Live n Loud days.

Summary: Ozzy's newest video in close to a decade
Review: After seeing Live & Loud, I also wanted to see how Ozzy performs now since I loved the other video. This is excellent, but not as good as Live & Loud. First of all, some of Ozzy's best songs aren't played. I would have liked to seen Shot in the Dark, Perry Mason, I Just Want You, Miracle Man, and some others from Ozzmosis, Diary of a Madman or No Rest for the Wicked. Also, the band doesn't sound as good as other times. Overall, still an excellent video and I would definitely recommend it to an Ozzy fan.

Summary: Oz's Age/Poor Production Take Toll on This Project
Review: Alas- poor Ozzy, I knew him well.... Ozzy's performance on this DVD is lacking. His singing is uneven (losing keys often), & he looks sadly decrepit hobbling around the stage. NOT the best live versions of these songs. The band is talented, but somehow not as compelling nor engaging as on other releases/incarnations. The production is distracting- poor mixing (lacking bass in bass guitar & drums- overall quite flat tonically). The extras are interesting but the long & cheesy 80's computer graphic segues get old fast, and the inaudible audio on "The Osbournes in Japan" detracts from its inherent interest. When compared to the also recently recorded "Iron maiden: Rock in Rio"- the performance & production are just not up to par!

Summary: enjoyable, but...
Review: As mentioned by a small handful on here, I think Ozzy is definitely showing his age, and I don't just mean his looks. Dunno if it was all that drug use in his day, or what, but he shakes, and does have trouble with some of the songs. He has the physical characteristics of someone who has Parkinson's disease. He also has to fixate on a teleprompter for lyrics (not that that's a bad thing, because after that many albums it is hard to remember all those lyrics) but everything overall is showing a slower, weaker Ozzy (just watch the Osbounes and how he holds his arm up when he walks, and has a scuffled walk). He is definitely not as intimidating as he once was. I still love Ozzy, and there is still very few performers that can match this man. He has one of the best voices in music, and this is probably the best live show your going to see from him on DVD. My only other complaints (reason for the 3 stars) is there is not a lot of energy in this show, I don't mean with just ozzy, zakk also! The audience is the worst ever, maybe there is a cultural difference, who knows, but this isn't the most lively crowd in the world. No stage props, no pyrotechnics, only really fancy thing is zakks solo, no fancy lighting. Although I always give credit to a no B.S. concert, and this is one of them, just in your face music, nothing else. I own it, but haven't watched it much since the initial watch: another reason for the stars. Not saying its bad, I think its just ok, that's all

Summary: FANTASTIC
Review: Great DVD, Can't Get enough of it!! Performances were superb. Ozzy was great, Zakk Wylde on the lead guitar really rocked the show with a solo that showed the talent and skill of the man.

Summary: OZZY LIVES !!!!!!
Review: I am not one for writing reviews, however I felt compeled to do so in this case. Let me simply say it ... If you are an OZZY fan BUY THIS DVD. It is without a doubt the best OZZY live I have seen. Excellent audio quality, Crystal picture; Deliciously directed for an overwhelming OZZY experience. The return of Zack Wilde brings an energy filled set, tight and virtuostic. The band sounds awesome, OZZY feeds from this and sounds the best he has in years. He jumps, runs, curses and works the crowd into a frezy only as OZZY can. You can even understand him when he talks! An instant OZZY classic !!! The bonus features are just that. But the performance is top shelf and needs no support. Don't hesitate to add this to your music collection in any form. If you don't have a DVD then for God's sake buy the CD's. You cannot loose with this one. Three cheers for the SONY production crew for capturing this perfomance with great taste, appreciation for the music, and with style.

Summary: The East meets CRAZY West ~!!!!
Review: I just saw this DVD for the first time. It was very interesting to see for me, being a Japanese who grew up in America more than half of my life. Let me say this, Ozzy and his band is so sweet, kind, and patient with Japanese audience. Japanese audience are just being Japanese. To behave well in public, and not to make fool out of your self. You can see how much of a difference in culture between the East (intellectual) and the West (emotional). To Japanese people Rock concert is a place to go "see", and to 'listen". To Western people Rock concert is a place to join with the band, and express themselves without feeing embarrassed, or be self conscious. Also, it would have really helped if Japanese people understood ENGLISH! They had no idea What Ozzy was saying! Almost as if Ozzy was too overwhelming for Oriental/Japanese culture, I know people over there love Ozzy, and admire his music, talent and performance in every way.

Budokkan (Martial Arts Hall) was never meant for rock concert exhibition until The Beatles broke that rule!, and it has became "Rock 'n Roll Hall" ever since then. and the name of the Hall has became quite well known place. We have quite few good Western Ozzy concert films. So, it was nice to see him "visit" this Rock 'n Roll Hall of East anyways. The quality of this film is very good. The sound is superior, and view is fantastic. Only I wish Zakk would quit spitting on the stage so much! I feel sorry for whoever had to clean it up after! (being very Japanese here). If you like ozzy, why don't you have it all !!!? I would also recommend CD of this version. May be better that way for Western audience.

Summary: Nice features, but a little dissapointing
Review: I like the extra features on this dvd, of Ozzy playing live at Budokan, Japan. "The Osbournes in Japan", is very fun to watch, and it has some nice backstage footage. But the main contents(the concert) is a bit boring. The first 5-6 songs you're just sitting there and having a great time but then, it just goes downward and it becomes boring, and at a time Zakk Wylde has the longest, ugliest guitar solo I have EVER heard, he's just standing there for at leats 7-8 minutes, and his performance on the other songs are by the way not that good, but still it's okay, but i had bigger expectations.
