Rating: Summary: The Voice Review: In rock music, there are few who have a voice easily recognizable. In the early 60s Roy was one of the solo artist rock male vocalists who stood out from the crowd along with contempories Gene Pitney and Del Shannon. When I saw Roy perform on Austin City Limits in 1982 I was mesmerized. Twenty plus years later after watching this DVD again, the same feeling was there. Roy's voice is in excellent form and though he says almost nothing between songs and stands still on stage, he is obviously enjoying himself. Roy just stands there and belts out the hits from the classics like In Dreams and Oh Pretty Woman to the bouncy Lana and Working For The Man. And the audience is eating it up, applauding at introductions to the songs they recognize and smiling along with the Big O.Some say Roy had the best male voice in rock music ever. Whether one agrees or not, I doubt anyone will be disappointed in this DVD because the voice is in great form.
Rating: Summary: A terrific concert Review: What I found so great about this video is: It was done in Texas, Roys home state, here in America. Also seeing this live in color for a change was very nice, it made me feel Roy was here.Hearing and seeing him do Lana and That Loving You Feeling Again was exciting and special. But, what really moved me was his singing of It's Over, the best I've heard! If you love Roy Orbison like I do, I highly recommend this video.
