Rating: Summary: Wannabe?!! Review: To the poor misguided soul from Medfield, MA. What are you some high school kid? I hope so because that's the only excuse for running your mouth about something you obviously know nothing about. If you're a Metallica fan since "The Black Album" I guess I'll let you slide too. Sure Mustaine is jealous of Metallica's success after throwing him out. He's human. And, he co-founded the band. If you look at the writing credits of the first two Metallica albums, you will see that the songs with the best guitar work have Mustaine's name on them. Plus, if you ever heard any of the Metallica recordings with Mustaine still in the band, you would notice that the leads Kirk Hammett plays are exact copies of the leads Mustaine wrote originally. Sure, I'm no fan of drug addicts and drunks, but we all have our demons. The man is no loser. The only member of Metallica that even has any talent left anymore is Hammett. They're the ones who should hang it up. Even their own bass player couldn't stand their music. Besides, Metallica has to have the all time heavyweight title for wimping out, selling out, turning from greatness to crap, whatever you may call it, than any other band in history.Have you heard their newest album? Need anyone say anymore? When's the last time you heard Lars move both of his legs behind the kit before that one? Sounds like a failing attempt to gain a shred of respect from true metal fans to me. At the very least, for their fans' sake, they should employ a new singer. In my opinion, Metallica has never put out an album that matches Peace Sells or Rust In Peace except Master Of Puppets. Coincidentally, their first album with no Mustaine songs on it. If only Cliff Burton had lived.
Rating: Summary: Awestruck by intensity! Review: Welcome to the long awaited video biography of the most notorious band in heavy metal history, Megadeth! Surviving many obstacles and numerous tragedies, this band arose from the ashes to become a great force in the realm of rock music. This extended DVD takes you through the complete life of Megadeth and the band's creator, Dave Mustaine. With commentary from ex band members, former managers, family members, and special appearances by Lars & James of Metallica, and Alice Cooper. The bonus footage includes a discography, several behind the scenes interviews, and the unedited version of Megadeth's latest music video assault, Moto Psycho. I highly recommend you buy this extraordinary and long deserved tribute DVD today! I have always been a fan of the VH-1 Behind The Music specials, but this one definately takes the cake. This special was so popular, VH-1 granted Megadeth permission to make this extended, unedited version of the critically acclaimed Megadeth Behind The Music, by far the most entertaining music documentary I have ever seen. You can buy it right here ...! You will not be disappointed. Infact this documentary is not only for Megadeth fans, it is something that anyone can and will appreciate. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll be in awe of the awesome power that is and will always be...Megadeth.Ian Liddell
Rating: Summary: Absolutely Amazing DVD Review: What can be said about one of the greatest Metal bands of all time?? PLENTY. You can see it all here on the Extended Version of VH1's Behind the Music: Megadeth, Although it should be called BTM: Dave Mustaine. Dave is a colorful character and you really get to see every side of him here, from the wild man whom nobody could get along with in Metallica, to druggie, drunk, dead man, father, recovering druggie and drunk, to upstanding representative in the rock and roll community. The extra interviews on the DVD (where they discuss how tight the band is now, better than it has ever been) are now thoughrouly depressing since the band has had to split up, though I hold out hope that one day Dave Mustaine will return to the arenas and continue to wow us with his impressive guitar skills, and his powerful lyrical style.
Rating: Summary: Megadeth is back! Review: With a new studio album, an upcoming live album and this DVD, Megadeth is back with a vengeance! This DVD is an extended version of VH1's Behind The Music. The TV-show mostly featured the earlier albums, but here you get it all, inc. the uncensored video of "Moto Psycho". High improvement over earlier videos released by the band, such as "Rusted Pieces". A must for everyone who loves Megadeth or thrash metal in general! Minus: Only released in the US and Canada. Zone-free player required.
