Rating: Summary: Let me into your view... Review: This is by far the best music DVD that I own. No other DVD comes close to capturing what A Life in the Day did between behind the scenes footage and an amazing concert. Starting off with the documentary, Sister Hazel gives everyone a glimpse into their everyday touring life, whether it be amusement they find in the little things or the things that just get in the way, as they do when you travel. This DVD shows that these guys are real and that they love their fans. Be prepared to laugh like you've never laughed before. The concert shots are ones unlike I have ever seen before in a concert DVD and the sound is nothing less than spectacular. You will laugh, cry and be totally amazed at what a great live band Sister Hazel is. You can see this from their performance and the love the fans show them all over the concert and the documentary portion of the DVD. Purchase A Life in the Day now, you will not regret it. And go see Sister Hazel live the next chance you get. It will be all you expect and more.
Rating: Summary: one word describes it all, WOW!!! Review: This is one great dvd. The sound and shots are great, and it really does a good job of capturing the electricity of a hazel show. I say good because nothing beats actually being there. The extras with them on tour and the rock boat show how great these guys are and how appreciative they are. I would say this; if you don't buy this dvd you are making a big mistake and missing out on some great music.
Rating: Summary: Stunning Review: This is only one of the words that can describe this masterpiece. There are so many highlights to this DVD that it's impossible to name them all. It is essentially split into two parts with a full documentary of the band which is basically Sister Hazel on the road which includes detail on how they started, their home town, the Rock Boat and the efforts they go to look after their fans. The second part is a 17 track live concert filmed at the House of Blues in Orlando and this is truly spectacular. For a fan from the UK who may not get the opportunity to see this fantastic band live this is such a special DVD - all of the extra's are fantastic but when it comes down to basics it's about the music and this is a brilliant, honest band who write great lyrics and play great songs and this DVD shows that up to perfection.
Rating: Summary: Buy It! Now! Review: This is the first concert dvd I have purchased, and all I can say is "wow"! The energy in the concert part made me feel like I was right there at the show. And if that weren't enough, the band lets the cameras follow them everywhere for a behind the scenes look at who Sister Hazel is. I have never laughed so hard at a bunch of fun-loving guys touring the country and sharing their views on everything from truck stops to poop to the best way to pack a suitcase. The concert rocks, the fun rolls, and you would be crazy to pass up this dvd!
Rating: Summary: Lovin' "A Life in the Day"! Review: Well, I've been an SH fan since 1997, and have to say that this has been a long time coming! Fans will not be disappointed, and those who are new to SH will be fans after watching. The "documentary" portion of the DVD allows the viewer to really live a day on tour with the band, catching a glimpse of their personalities and showing that they really are a down to earth group of guys. The concert portion of the DVD is the next best thing to being there, they put on an amazing show, and for those of us who don't get to see them live very often, it's a chance to recapture the magic that is live SH. Highly recommended!
Rating: Summary: A Must-have!! Review: When I first heard about this DVD (and the double live CD), I couldn't wait for the release date. Well, they were well worth the wait! Being able to not only hear the energy in their music but to see it in the band's performance and audience's response is overwhelming! It's refreshing to see a band that still remembers their roots and absolutely loves their fans. Not only does this DVD show their performance at the House of Blues (which is fabulous), it also gives you a behind-the-scenes look into their music and concerts. You really get an understanding of how much their music and fans mean to them. Both the CD and the DVD should be in everyone's music and movie collections!!
Rating: Summary: Amazingly Awesome Review: Where do I begin? For years Sister Hazel fans (Hazelnuts) have been begging for a DVD and a live CD. Sister Hazel's A Day In The Life DVD, blew anything I had ever expected out of the water! When you need a fix on Sister Hazel, and you can't get to a concert, you can pop in the CD and watch a concert in the comfort of your own home. While it might not feel like the same thing, you can get pretty close. One of the best things is getting to hear the guys talk about their every day lives and all you think is, "Wow, they're even more awesome than I thought". Many fans already know that they are just 5 ordinary guys that are very down to earth, but this really brings it home. It is also really nice to see other Sister Hazel fans who share the same love of Sister Hazel's music. I definitly think any person even considering getting this CD, should! I have it 2 thumbs up, and 5 out of 5 stars!
Rating: Summary: Best concert dvd I've seen... Review: WOW! I've got to say SISTER HAZEL continues to top themselves. I received the dvd a week and a half ago and I have probably watched it 8-9 times...it is that good. The concert was filmed at the HOB and is incredible...great guitar, great vocals and great drums! If that weren't enough SH takes you on the road with them and it's a humorous journey of their travels on tour. Very nice mixing of tunes and video. It's a great peek at all the guys and crew that are SH. I highly recommended this dvd as well as the double live album which is great ear candy. Kudos to SH on a job well done. Joel
