Rating: Summary: CT Should've Loosened The Purse Strings... Review: ...All in all, a must have for fans. The audio has been sufficiently cleaned up in the studio, and sounds great (think Kiss Alive!...no foul in polishing things after the fact, right?). The video looks like Cheap Trick passed out cameras to the crowd to [film] this. It's lousy, I'm sorry. Had they performed this historic set indoors and paid a real crew to [film] this, it would be on permanent repeat on my DVD player. The guest stars are fun, and I found the family members' contributions at the same time superfluous and damned heartwarming. I don't know a CT fan who wouldn't like another [try] at re-writing the set list for Silver, but it doesn't disappoint. Robin's "I Can't Take It" finally gets a good rendition. As far as I can tell, promotion of this effort was focused on [true fans] only. Think about it. Everyone in the world knows three or four Cheap Trick songs, and no mass marketing effort to push their Silver Anniversary collection. Ain't that a shame. Oh, and members of the Rockville Symphony Orchestra contribute their talents on a few tracks... :)

Rating: Summary: Cheap Trick and Family! Review: Although the video on this disc is no differn't than watching a VHS tape (when you expect alot more from a DVD and that's the Only reason for knocking off one star) the 2 hour and 15 minute performance is Excellent! It's great to see Rick and Robin's kids up there jamming on stage with the band and I really thought it was very nice of the band to bring back Jon Brant to go up and play bass on a few songs although you really can't hear his bass (makes you wonder did Tom mix this) There are lots of cool extras on this DVD and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves melodic pop rock.
Rating: Summary: Wish I could've been there! Review: Cheap Trick is probably my second favorite band of all time & I've seen them live about nine times through the years so I'm a little biased from the start. I bought this from their website after seeing the DirectTV free version of this show. That version has nine extra songs on it plus the other version as well (two dvds) & I couldn't be more thrilled with this. They are still as great as they were when they started & to have the original lineup after all these years says something as well. Absolutely untouchable set which would've been even better without that jerk from Everclear ruining "Daytripper". But it's nice to see other musicians paying their respects to these guys. It's nice to see them get recognition from their peers that unfortunately continues to go unobtained from the public. This band has always been innovative and imaginative in its approach. Most of their records are quite different taken one by one and I just hope they have a new one out soon as promised. It's been five years now & the last one was just excellent!! This would be an excellent place to start if you've never experienced the magic that is Cheap Trick!! The Wolf
Rating: Summary: 25 YEAR OF AMAZING MUSIC Review: Cheap Trick live, playing nearly 29 tunes - all their hits, plus at least one cut from each album. The band is very tight and is clearly enjoying every minute. The infectious good times by the guys on stage and their hometown fans make you wish you had taken a vacation and made the trip! Robin Zander is still one of the greatest vocalists around; he hit every note dead on. Of course, you're treated to Rick's guitar collection - almost a new one for every song (5-neck still making the appearance). Bun E. stills an understated genius and Tom doing what he does on the Bass. High note is their emotional and kick-A** offering of Gonna Raise Hell, which should be lesson to lesser rockers on how to "do it" live! Whether you're a Cheap Trick fan or just a fan good rock I think you'll enjoy this DVD.
Rating: Summary: Cheap Trick 25th anniversary concert Review: Excellent live performance of Cheap Trick classics. Cameo appearances by members of Everclear,Guns and Roses, and Smashing Pumkins. Video suffers from poor lighting, but intensity of music and musicians forces me to give 5 stars. A must have for Cheap Trick fans.
Rating: Summary: Great show ruined by terrible audio quality Review: I absolutely love Cheap Trick and hard core fans will want this video. But the audio quality on this DVD is so bad the viewer is left frustrated and disappointed. The video direction is also a bit amateurish. I hope the band puts out another live concert video with better production quality.

Rating: Summary: Cheap Trick - Silver Review: I have been a fan of Cheap Trick since 1977 (although losing some touch during the 90's). I saw this DVD and felt it would be a good reunion. WOW, these guys play their hearts out. Every song is perfectly performed and the sound production is excellent. The breadth of material is absolutely overwhelming. Including other rock stars, choirs, symphonys, and family members makes this concert truly a special event. Additional features includes a commentary narrated mostly by Bun E. Carlos. Over the years he has always been the mysterious and quiet one - man!, does he have a sense of humor. I rated this DVD with 5 stars - great performance, great production sound and an opportunity to see what great people Rick, Robin, Tom & Bun are is an experience I have and will repeat many, many times.
Rating: Summary: This DVD was worth the money!!! Review: I now own two of Cheap Trick concert dvd's. One is live from Australia and now Silver. I loved Silver much better because the music was so much tighter than the Austrialian one. I honestly dont know what was dubbed in and im sure there were mistakes, but from what I could tell musically they were right on the money for a live performance. Take it from me-I'm a musician that has played live and sometimes perfection isnt important; its the vibe conveyed by the band. I didn't like the video either but i would say its more the lighting that really bothered me than anything else. Some songs it seemed Tom was really playing too loud and couldnt hear rick or robin's singing. On the commentary it was nice to see Bun E. Joke around and explain the background of the songs...especially that thing about John Lennon commenting that this was the guitar played on Day Tripper, but Cheap Tricks version was on the charts at that very time. All in all well worth the money and I have seen CT 10 times up close and far away. Good flow and vibe.
