Summary: Bee Gees - One Night Only
Review: The sounds are too good to be belived that they were live recorded after all!

Summary: The best hits in their best EVER concert!
Review: They look more "normaller" than the 1989 One For All Tour concert and sing alot better. They haven't lost their touch yet. They pick three great album songs to sing in the concert; Still Waters, Closer Than Close, and Alone. They also include all of their #1 hits, medley or all throughout, except for Loves You Inside Out. But it has all the Saturday Night Fever songs, Tragedy, Too Much Heaven, To Love Somebody, Lonely Days, How Can You Mend A Broken Heart, I've Gotta Get A Message To You, Nights On Broadway, Run To Me, Massachusetts, and other great all time favorites. The only thing I don't like is Celine Dion's part with the BeeGees in Immortality because personally, I never liked her. Barry also talks a little in the concert. A woman in the front row gave him a towel to wipe his sweat off with and give back as a keepsake! Olivia Newton John is also in the front row with her daughter. Barry's daughter comes out towards the end to give flowers out to the brothers and Maurice introduces the band to us just before the finishing You Should Be Dancing. So overall, they really did a great job putting this concert together and I'm sure it pleased millions.

Summary: TOTALLY AWESOME
Review: I was lucky enough to catch this show on HBO & LOVED it. But, then we acquire a DVD Player & this was the very 1st DVD we purchased. Have had it less than a week & played it over & over. No way can you tire of hearing their songs, watching the performance which is much better than HBO gave you, & letting it all take you back to when you could truly enjoy music & the meaning of the songs. The Tribute to Andy is beautiful & Celion Dion is an extra added touch plus their new song "Still Waters" is another beautiful creation of their talent.

Summary: My first DVD order
Review: I have to admit that I was never a Bee Gees fan growing up, and never owned any kind of their music. I purchased this as one of my first two DVDs after the completion of my home theater. I bought this one because the reviews said that it was of very good video and audio quality and I wanted something in DTS. I have never seen another of their DVDs nor have I ever seen them in concert, so I cannot comment on the group itself comparative to other of their performances. But I do now have several other concert DVDs and can speak very highly of the sound and image quality and that this is one of the most watched DVDs in my home.

Summary: One of the Best
Review: If you are even remotely a fan of the Bee Gees you will love this DVD! In fact, any music lover would love it! After decades of unbelievable magic these boys still have it and don't seem to be giving it up any time soon!
Buy it for your wife, girlfriend, whoever...she will love it and
it will bring out the romance in both of you!
PS as for the reviewer who commented on Barry Gibb straining and struggling with the singing, why doesn't he/she try to keep up this kind of career for decades!! Give the guy a BREAK!

Summary: Should You Buy DTS Over Dolby?
Review: If you got this far, you are probably interested in getting this historical concert on DVD. Filmed at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in November of 1997, I can attest that having been at this concert, it is remarkable. Over 30 hits with a great light-show presentation was accompanied by live duets with Celine Dion on "Immortality", a pre-recorded duet with Franki Valli on a blasting "Grease" and a truly heartbreaking quartet with the late brother Andy Gibb on "(Our Love) Don't Throw It All Away". The large movie screen served as a backdrop for many old family videos as well as the Bee Gees performing songs from over four decades.

The technicalities: If you have a simple DVD player without a DTS Surround Sound player and receiver, you can buy any of the DVD's. If you are fortunate enough to own a DTS Surround capable DVD player and receiver, you are set for what the concert really sounded like! Remember that this was recorded in the 80,000 plus seat MGM Grand and the acoustics add something that is different than a regular studio recording. The crowd is recorded perfectly to coincide with the performance. Check your system, then decide. If you plan on a new system, I highly recommend spending a few extra bucks and getting this DTS Surround feature. It is that good.
