Summary: This is Brian McKnight at his Best!!!
Review: Any Fan of Brian or R&B Music has to get this! Wonderful scenic scapes, and Brian McKnight singing some of his greatest songs unplugged with Band or just to the sound of himself playing the guitar. I'm a big B. McKnight Fan from Germany and I hope to see more Releases like this from i.e. Joe, because I rate him to be as much as a virtuoso as Brian. Keep Up the good work!

Summary: THE BEST
Review: As usual Brian shines through in this live performance. You find out REALLY quickly how good a singer/musician is when you take away the acoustics, lights, and fancy things and toss the artist out there there with almost nothing. Brian is AMAZING. I was waiting for this special to come out so PICK IT UP!!!

Summary: Amazing
Review: I completely disagree with the first review, you have to understand that this is a music dvd based in Brazil. Bryan Mcknight is a known Christian which can be seen throughout many of his songs. I do not feel that this video is any way putting down another religion there was just one clip of a religious ceremony, that as a christian, he did not feel right participating in. I don't think that, because of his personal beliefs he should be judged. This dvd was absolutely amazing. Bryan Mcknight is not like most singers today, he has amazing talent and you can see just how talented he is in this dvd. Great buy and I recommend it to anyone who likes Bryan because it will make you love his music even more.

Summary: McKnight misinformed!
Review: I really looked forward to this DVD. As a student of Brazilian Studies I was really interested in his views on Brazil. However I was quite surprised at how little he knew about Brazil. He made some very unfortunate and arrogant sounding statements. Perhaps the worst was his statements regarding Afro-Brazilian religions. He mistook the Candomble religion for Vodoo and called it a mixture of evil and good! Huh? Then he said that the religion didn't have a supreme god. Then he criticized the religios music because it was played in Afro 6/8. He made some vague mention the the devil and 6's! So McKnight... Candomble is not vodoo. Also it does have a supreme god known as Olodumare which equates to the Christian word for god. Also there is no devil in Candomble! The Candomble orixas could be equated to Christian saints. Luckily for him the music is ok...

Summary: SIMPLY WONDERFUL
Review: Late one evening I caught the airing of this performance (why was it never on prime time?) and have been searching for the CD ever since. I'm so happy that it went to DVD!!

I've had the privilage of seeing him live 2x, and this DVD really captures what a talented and insightful musician he is. Plus set in beautiful Brazil, with his own candid comments about his music and what it means to him. One of the most memorable parts is when he talks about playing a song the way HE wants to play it, not just because everyone is telling him to play it exactly like the album represents it. The new interpretations of old favorites (and new ones) are not to be missed!!

Brilliant!

Summary: Just Another Reason To Love Brian
Review: Why hasn't this man won a grammy yet? It's just not fair! This video gives Brian fans like myself just another reason to love him. He is so very awesome. Anybody who can sing this well without the cover of a full band and loud music has to have God-given talent. The sights and sounds of Brazil just add beauty to an already sultry, sexy, beautiful voice. I love the way he expresses himself in the interviews captured on this video recording. This is a wonderful release and well worth the money. Love you, Brian!
