Rating: Summary: A JOURNEY THROUGH A 15 YEAR CAREER Review: The Fever tour was brilliant because it captured a career spanning 15 years. Whilst Live in Sydney was Camp Kylie at work, this show proves that Kylie is not a two dimentional pop singer. It would have been easy to give the audience what they EXPECTED, but Kylie continued to push the envelope and prove her abilities and good for her for bringing some long forgotten gems such as GBI, Limbo and Cowboy Style out of the closet! The sound on this DVD is great (whoever said Kylie's voice could not be heard must have a faulty copy!!!), projections are ace and so is the documentary at the end. Don't buy this if you expect Live in Sydney part 2. Buy if you have followed her career and know that there is more to Kylie than I should Be So Lucky and Love Boat.
Rating: Summary: Kylie: Pure Perfection Review: The FEVERTOUR2002 DVD is a daazling, breathtaking showcase of what every performer should model their shows after. Kylie's show incorporates elements from movies such as "Clockwork Orange" and "Cyberella" into her acts, creating imagery and choreagraphy unlike any seen before in concerts. No other word can be used to describe this concert other than PERFECT. The sounds is superb, the costumes are original and Kylie is phenomenal. She manages to sing live and look great. Her talent as a pop icon is unmatched. It's a shame that she isnt as wildly popular here in the US as she is around the world. If you want to know what a good concert is, buy this dvd. It's a fascinating 2 hours that you won't soon forget. Kylie is the original impossible princess.
Rating: Summary: Where in the world is Kylie? Review: I tried to like this concert dvd. Honest. All the ingredients are there for a great show but there is no energy present. Kylie looks lost the entire show. I have come to the conclusion that due to the popularity of Fever in the US during rehearsals for this tour that Kylie herself missed too many dress rehearsals and had little to say about the concert's overall look and finished product. It is obvious that she is uncomfortable with the choreography by the simple fact that she does not move for the entire 2 hours. She mastered one arm movement that [is overused]. She looks great as always and sounds great, but she looks so rigid and lost. Overproduction took its toll.
Rating: Summary: Kylie has the FEVER ,I am a big Kylie fan! Review: Well what can I say, a stunning performance as always by the Princess of Pop,Kylie Minogue. She sings lots of songs from her past to the present and the stage setting was brillient and I loved the lighting and the chandeliers etc projected on a large screen. One point I must make and that is about the documentary, section 3 on the dvd of the documentary makes a grating noise, apart from that the dvd is a must have for all fans of Kylie and you must have it in your collection. Buy this today on DVD/Video you will be glad you did and you wont be bored
Rating: Summary: Manchester FEVER Lacks Campy Fun Of LIVE IN SYDNEY Review: Recent accomplishments have more than justified Kylie Minogue's status as an international superstar, not the least of which being worldwide sales of her most recent pop masterpiece FEVER. Unfortunately, FEVER 2002(Live In Manchester) will go down more as a valiant effort rather than a runaway smash. It must be said that throughout Minogue is in fine, if somewhat immobile, form--she continues to mature as a vocalist, and it shows, particularly on the 'Crying Game' portion of the set, which includes a beautiful nuanced, though abbreviated, rendition of 'Put Yourself In My Place'. It's obvious that singing takes a front seat to moving here, as again Minogue is pretty stationary throughout the show, which wouldn't really be much of a hindrance if she didn't perform so many DANCE songs. Regardless, there are still some mighty fine moments to be had--among them the freestyle/breakdance rendition of 'Cowboy Style',the long-time-coming melding of her sparkling 'Light Years' with Donna Summer's 'I Feel Love', and the encore of 'Burning Up' and 'Better The Devil You Know', which is returned to it's original Eurodisco incarnation after being rendered as a pseudo-jazz standard in previous live shows. In fact, the encore of those two tracks, along with the set-closing 'Can't Get Blue Monday Out Of My Head' are the rare instance in which there really seemed to be any fun going on. Now to the problem areas--the choreography, which is horrible, almost non-existent, consisting primarily of a bunch of robotic hand and leg movements--a three-year old would show more dance savvy than this. And while the set design, etc. strives for the sophistication that the more campy LIVE IN SYDNEY may have lacked, it also manages to suck much of the life out of the whole thing, simply for aesthetics' sake. Finally, as with the last tour, the dancers' costumes--the designer has apparently mistaken tacky and amateurish for avant garde, and boy does it show--I wouldn't be having any fun either if I had to wear fishnets and high heels circa Madonna's Girlie Show Tour. All in all, FEVER 2002 is far from unwatchable, but it's also far from what is so engaging about Minogue in the first place--fun and free-spiritedness.
Rating: Summary: I would give it 10 stars if I could have....... Review: Wow.... this was all I could say after I finished watching the Fever Tour dvd. Just wow. This tour has got to be the Best tour of the few last years, if not ever. I have both Kylie's performances dvds: 'Live In Sydeny' and 'The Fever Tour'. I loved 'Live In Sydney', but 'The Fever Tour' is easily the best. First Of all, the songs. I love almost every song she performed thrugh the concert: from 'I should Be So Lucky' and 'Locomotion' to 'Can't Get You Out Of My head' and 'Come Into My World', Kylie performes 17 of her hits, and most of them are peformed in new and diffrent versions - some of them just have a slight change in the music ('Confide In Me', 'Shocked'), and some of them have a whole new sound ('I Should Be So Lucky', 'In Your Eyes'). Either way, it sounds great. My favourites on the show were 'Confide In Me' (one of my all time favourites... Kylie is doing an amazing job performing this one, and the dancer is amazing!), 'The Crying Medley' (medley of balads, Kylie is Great in here...), 'In Your Eyes' (latin medley, a new latin version of this song combined with a short verse out of 'Please Stay' and 'Rythem Of The Night') and 'Come Into My World' (the opener of the show... It could have been better, but I really like this song). This are my favorites, but the others songs are absolutly great as well... The second thing that makes this show so good is the show itself and by that i'm talking about the looks of the show. The interludes (there are just a few) are intresting, the costumes are really nice and the dancers are doing a good job. The backround music is AMAZING! the backup singers, the drumms, the guitars... everything just sounds teriffic! I just wish she would have sung more songs out of the 'Fever' album and not just the 6 she did (the singles plus 'Fever' and 'Burning Up') .... This DVD is a must have, and not just for kylie's fan. Every person who considers himself a music lover should watch this incridable show

Rating: Summary: Very Disappointed Review: I had to write a review of this DVD right away as I was so disappointed. I love Kylie Minogue. She has that air-brushed look of beauty and perfection about her; and while she can sing, this DVD is absolutely horrid. Pros: Kylie Minogue is beautiful and very sexy. If you only want beauty and sexiness this DVD has it. There are many costume changes throughout the concert. Cons: You can hardly hear a word that she is singing. The background noise and orchestration is way too loud, drowning Kylie's voice out. Unless you know the words to the songs, you will hardly be able to understand anything that she is singing. The dancers are awful. The dancers' costumes are awful. I do not know about you, but I do not find men dancing around in stockings and skirts in any way sexy. The women are wearing these awful body suits with black circles covering their breasts and a black brief built into the suit. As bad as this is, they are wearing white wigs and horrid makeup. In short, they look like clowns. It seems as if Kylie goes out of her way to make everyone else look awful except for her. While I believe Kylie obviously has dancing ability, she apparently can't sing and dance at the same time. She hardly moves throughout the concert other then to gyrate her hips or to move her arms like a stupid robot. There's nothing special about this concert at all. I was very, very disappointed. I love Kylie's music, but I would strongly suggest sticking to her CD's and her music videos. At least in her videos, she's able to dance without worrying about the sound of her voice.
Rating: Summary: Pure Fun Review: I must disagree with some of the negative reviews I've read about this DVD. I was pretty pleased with the whole DVD. The DVD includes the entire 2 hour concert, a 30 minute documentary, a virtual program, and several screen projections. The actual concert was great. With the exception of the ballads section, the entire concert will have you bouncing around in your seat. Kylie, the backup singers, and the band all sounded fantastic. The dancers were pretty good too, however, they seemed a bit too serious. The editing was executed very well. During a lot of the songs, many of the screen projections were included in the final product. So, during Confide In Me, 1-555-CONFIDE would flash on the screen or a flurry of little pink hearts would be swirling around the stage during Fever. I was also impressed with the way Limbo was presented... it wasn't because of screen projections, just the way it was filmed and edited... how the camera zooms in and out very quickly. If you watch the show, you will see what I mean. One thing I thought was lacking was how the DVD was presented. The box art leaves something to be desired. However, the booklet inside the box has many pages of photos from the concert itself as well as behind the scenes. As for my favorite parts of the concert... I thought Kylie's entrance was spectacular. I won't spoil that one but she does make quite an entrance. I enjoyed Shocked very much. Not just how the song was being performed by the band, but the opening choreography as well. Cowboy Style was great as was Burning Up and Limbo and... hell, the whole concert is great. The bonus documentary included was also good. It sheds a little bit of light on the making of the concert as well as a lot of behind the scene footage that has been involved in the whole Fever lifespan, including some of the promotion done here in the US. On a side note, yes, this concert is much different than it's predecessor, On A Night Like This. However, Kylie is always reinventing her image and music, and along with it, the style of her concerts. Light Years was a campy pop album so, naturally, the concert followed in the same footsteps. With the Fever tour, they wanted something that would best correspond with the style of the album and with the final product, that's what they got. If you haven't bought the DVD yet, I suggest you do. I think you'll find that it's well worth the 15 bucks.
Rating: Summary: You Gotta Get This! Review: Wow, I really love this DVD. I watched it as soon as a bought it. Kylie is so hot, and she sings great. The only thing is that they need to not focus on the dancers as much and focus on the real thing herself. Other than that, it was great. I also really liked that she included other songs not on the Fever CD. "Spinning Around", for example, was from the Light Years CD (which I picked up in France, and highly recommend) and I really enjoyed that. It could've been better with a little bit more dancing, but I guess you can't beat the "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" video! I must say that this is my favorite Music DVD, next to "#1's" by Mariah Carey. The mentioned DVD is also great! I HIGHLY recommend that you purchase it as well.
