Rating: Summary: Powerful performance Review: There are no extra features on this DVD. But with Stevie Nicks' raw, powerful performance, who needs them? The majesty of Red Rocks and the passion of Stevie Nicks make for an unforgettable experience (and this DVD is way cheaper than tickets to her concert). My favorite songs on this DVD are the rockers - "I Need to Know", "Stand Back" and "Edge of Seventeen" - her emotion is always turned up to 11. Mick Fleetwood makes a cameo during "Beauty and the Beast". The white-winged dove that does not want to leave is a fine example of the powerful spirit and magnetism that is Stevie Nicks. Her fans know it well.
This DVD is a must-have for the Nicks fan. It is timeless.
Rating: Summary: Total Class Act Review: After catching glimpses of music videos on MTV, I didn't think I would enjoy watching music videos. My interest in Stevie Nicks lead me to purchase this. Not for one second have I regretted that! My first impression of this DVD was "What a Class ACT!". Stevie Nicks and her bands members were impressive in this DVD. Her graciousness to the audience was the second most impressive thing about this DVD. I vaguely remember that "Class" and "Graciousness" from the HBO "Stevie Nicks in Concert" back in '82 or '83. I enjoyed the music, the lights, the action, the vocals and the attitudes. "Talk to Me", "Beauty and the Beast" and "Edge of Seventeen" were espcially good. Overall, this was a great DVD for my first experience in buying a music video type DVD. Class, graciousness, great music, great vocals, great video. What more could a person desire? There is a reason she is called "The Queen of Rock and Roll". This DVD shows why.
Rating: Summary: FANtASTIC,HYPNOTIC,NICKS ROCKS Review: Besides the occasional, obviously fake close-ups,tacked on,this concert, filmed at Red Rocks in Colorado in 86,for cable station Showtime,ROCKS HARD! Always enchanting, always mysterious, and always a lively animated performer,Stevie gives one hell of a show here! She sounds GREAT,and looks stunning. Her band also gives a great show.
Rating: Summary: Stand Back: Stevie Nicks at full throttle. Review: By far the best video performance Stevie has ever given. Stevie is shown performing with an intenstity she hasn't displayed on stage in years. This video's version of Stand Back is the best ever, and Edge of Seventeen becomes an 15 minute epic. Her voice is somewhat ragged on a few songs (Beauty and the Beast, Talk to Me) but this is her at her mid/late 80's peak. She looks great and her band rocks. The only downside, if any, is that "special guests" Mick Fleetwood and Peter Frampton only show up for a few seconds.
Rating: Summary: Queen of Rock Review: Few people know that the vocals on this were redubbed and the entire show was highly edited-as were many of the Mac/Nicks videos of that time. One clue is the close ups of her face which show a completely different hair style. However-this still remains one of the best live concerts out there. It totally captures the essence of Stevie when she was in her most infamous "Rock a Little" period. It's worth trying to track down the original unedited bootleg if you can-I've been trying for some time. Definitely buy this and enjoy the woman most consider to be the queen of rock at one of the most interesting times in her life. Be aware this concert does not have many of her trademark songs. I prefer this concert over the earlier In Concert video from the Bella Donna tour-although you should really have both. Rock on Rhiannon!
Rating: Summary: Coked out blast Review: From the moment Stevie takes the stage you know this is going to be an amazing concert. She is high as a kite off of cocaine, but she was awesome. All of her songs were well done. I can't even tell you how many times this dvd of mine has been played. I'm surprised it's not broken yet! :) My personal favorites off of this hour concert are STAND BACK (The crowd goes nuts!!!), TALK TO ME (Which was her hit single during that tour), and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (That song is just beautiful). Mick Fleetwood makes an appearance which was really cool. At one time, he comes on stage and you can see how much taller he is than Stevie. It's funny. This DVD is a MUST for any Stevie Nicks fan. I recommend it for sure!! It's fun to turn it on with a friend and have cocktails. It feels like your at the tour. Enjoy!

Rating: Summary: This is awful. Review: Hey! I love Stevie and have since 1977. I waited a long time to purchase this video, and I was very disappointed. The close-ups are obviously staged--her hair is not even the same. So, my advice to other consumers is: don't waste your money. Use your energy to lobby for re-release of BUCKINGHAMNICKS.
Rating: Summary: I was at this Red Rocks Concert Review: I am a long-time Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac fan (since Sunday Break I in Austin, TX - 1977). I have had the pleasure of meeting Stevie Nicks and would love to see her in concert again. This Red Rocks concert was at a low point in her life/career and I would not recommend the DVD. As another reviewer put it - your time and energy would be better spent lobbying for a re-release of BuckinghamNicks.
Rating: Summary: A difficult time in her life...... Review: I am a tried and true fan of Stevie Nicks. But, I must be honest, I was embarassed for her when I watched this concert video. She was nearing the end of a very dangerous drug and alcohol addiction. In fact, I have read that after this concert, she checked herself into a rehab. The setting was absolutely magical. The dove landing on her hand and not wanting to leave was symbolic and beautiful. As far as her performance, her voice never fails her, but she was screaming and sometimes singing in gibberish. I must say her first taped concert during the Bella Donna tour was superb in comparison! Apologies to other true fans like me, but I cannot lie about my opinion even though I love Stevie Nicks.
