Rating: Summary: Something is very wrong here Review: This is not what rock and roll is about. This is about merchandising. Someone has decided to sell John Fogerty's name and music to as big an audience as they can find. The entire 'concert' (and I use the term loosely) reminds me of the movie "invasion of the body snatchers". Everything looks right, the band, the stage, the lights, the audience... but it all feels wrong. There are 'mystery' backing vocals, provided by no-one present on stage. The close ups of Fogerty are always cut off prematurely, as if they didn't want you to notice that the lip synch wasn't quite in synch. It is very disturbing to watch, because you get the feeling that someone is pulling a fast one. It seems to me as if a lot (if not all) of this 'concert' was re-recorded or dubbed-over to gloss over the rough spots and present the band in a more favorable light. And that aint right! If you're too lame to present a decent live performance, then please don't pretend to be a performing artist. Make records, or videos like the other talentless clods out there. I could probably make a record myself, with enough re-takes and careful editing I could probably be the next Beatles (all four of em!) Make no mistake, I love John Fogerty's music. The stuff he did with CCR will live forever. This video was embarrasing for me to watch. If you love the real John Fogerty, then don't buy this video, remember him while he was still 'alive'.
Rating: Summary: AWESOME !!! MIND BLOWING !!! CELLULOID ADRENELIN !!! Review: A hero to every kid from the 60's and 70's who ever picked up a guitar! John Fogerty proves on this video that Rock musicians over the last 20 years have culled a lot from this man. The guy looks and moves like he's still a kid in his 20's with a voice so unique, you'd swear you were sitting on a back porch down south while the fog rolled off the bayous. Lots of energy! Two days after watching and I'm still dancing around the house.
Rating: Summary: MIND BLOWING !!!!! - A SHOT OF CELLULOID ADRENELIN !!!! Review: John Fogerty is MORE than a ROCK LEGEND. Twenty five years after the birth of Creedence, this video .. this performance ... proves that 'age' is only what you make of it. He looks better, sounds better and is playing better than when I first saw him at 11 years old (an amazing concert) at Forest Hills Tennis Stadium in Queens. His music has moved two generations from the Vietnam baby boomers to the present. I couldn't believe the awesome feelings this video stirred in me while watching. If you're a Creedence fan, or just someone who found themselves tapping their feet to Proud Mary on the radio, check out this video. You're in for a REALLY UNIQUE TREAT .... !!! JP
Rating: Summary: John Fogerty - PREMONITION Review: A must for CCR's Fans and to be added into your collection. One of the best recorded and produced DVD.Undisputed 5 stars rating.Brought back happy memories the type of sounds we hear during the Hippies ERA of the 70's.
Rating: Summary: Soooeeeee..... Review: Fogarty is at his best. Great band, great audio/video. Very well done. Very well produced...
Rating: Summary: Perfection Review: For those of you who don't know who John Fogerty is, you need to watch and listen to this DVD. The sound is perfect and the voice is well...John Fogerty. This is what rock and roll is supposed to be. Kids today need to see what a real musician with his own sound is all about. For all the sound alike groups with their manufactured sounds, throw them in the trash and educate yourself with this one.
Rating: Summary: excellent Review: it is like CCR used to be
Rating: Summary: Second-best concert DVD I've ever heard Review: Of course, the #1 concert DVD is Hell Freezes Over, which is the standard by which all other music videos are measured. This one measures up very well, indeed. The sound is excellent, the performances very good, the video is bright and clear. You don't have to be a big CCR fan to enjoy this concert, but if you are this disk is a must-have.
Rating: Summary: It's Almost Saturday Night! Review: For the fellow who found this a little Milli Vanilli, I can assure you, I've been to Fogerty's concerts. If there's anything dubbed or fiddled with about this (except for a couple of tracks the producers openly acknowledge) I'll eat my hat. It's nonestly not as good as being there, if you ever get that notion, but it surely captures the je ne se quois of a Fogerty concert. I'm not ashamed to have this in my collection.
Rating: Summary: How Sweet it is! Review: Great DVD. This guy will test your Surround sound equipment. You gotta watch Kenny, the drummer, he's what makes this kind of music enjoyable to watch..... Anyone who has a DVD player and likes Rock and Roll must have this one.....
