Rating: Summary: Amazing, touching, unforgettable! Review: This video will be one of the most touching musical performances you will ever see. It is amainzing watching all the popular performers pay their respects to the most wonderful singer/showman of our time, Freddie Mercury. It really shows how much the world lost when it lost Freddie. It is nice to see so many people and performers come together to say goodbye to Freddie and support the fight against AIDS. It was truely an unforgettable day.
Rating: Summary: Truly Magical Concert Review: Why ISN'T this available? I used to always see it at my video store. Luckily I bought it when it first came out. This is a classic concert that should be available for any music fan. All the musicians were great, but I must admit the appearance of Liza Minnelli at the end made the show for me. That took a lot of balls, and she was super.
Rating: Summary: Still touching the heart of billions Review: ...after talking with my cousin in Florida (I'm in California) we realized all the people we know in between whose hearts have been touched by the work of Freddie Mercury...and the job those fabulous stars did the night of this concert in his memory. Please re-release this video soon!
Rating: Summary: A Peice of History in the making. Review: Seeing the concert live was nice but having it on video is a reminder of everything that was great. From Annie Lennox & David Bowie doing Under Pressure . David Bowie, Mick Ronson , and Ian Hunter doing all the young dudes . To Elton John and Axl Rose doing Boheimiem Rhapshody, was a time i'll never forget. It's too bad that they don't realese the full 6 hours without spinal tap. There was a lot of great videos played on the screens between sets.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful tribute to Freddie! Review: I think this video is GREAT! It was a good trubute to Freddie. Sad , but in a way it makes you happy that they did that for Freddie and the people with AIDS. I would give alot to see this movie re-released. A must see for a Queen or Freddie Mercury fan
Rating: Summary: Lisa Stanfield Review: This concert was great but, I believe that everyone missed the best performance, that was Lisa Stanfield doing " I Want To Break Free". Folks she made this her song---Freddie never did it any better--I saw him do it, live as well. Also if a rerelease is done they need to release the whole six hours (which i have a mono copy of)
Rating: Summary: There can be only one. Review: This tribute proves there can be only one. It was sad to see so many people attempt to do Freddie's music. I thought Axl Rose should have stayed home. Although he did prove how much of a show man Freddie was, and what great shape he was in for his concerts. This tribute makes you realize how much was lost when the world lost Freddie.
Rating: Summary: Saying "Goodbye" to the Queen of Our Hearts....... Review: Every band us 80's and 90's kids ever loved on one stage to celebrate the incredible life of Freddie Mercury. Get the box of Kleenex handy - this is incredible! Along with powerful performances by Extreme, Def Leppard, Metallica and Guns N' Roses, you will find the words of Freddie Mercury throughout the years. Brian, Roger and John play the best ever and to know that they are playing without the King is amazingly touching! A must see and the prized possession in my video catalog.
Rating: Summary: magical event Review: I saw this video on MTV the year it happened and just snippets again on the VH1 Legends special. George Michael doing somebody to love...Incredible!! Re-release now pleeeease!
Rating: Summary: Start publishing This video again Review: I do not own this tape, but I've seen it. It is 175 minutes of Queen. The three living members of Queen are all there. Great songs included are Bohemian Rhapsody, Tie your Mother down, Now I'm Here, and my favorite, Hammer To Fall! This video must be re-issued, I love it!
