Rating: Summary: That's the Way Nasty Videos Go Review: OK! I decidedto buy this one because it was so cheap. Well, I have heard Janet Jackson before in MTV but for me it has always been: Well, it's good to listen it but not to buy it. I have also the album "All for You" which is very good. (There's no videos from that album in this video but I'mwaiting for them). There's so basic videos in the beginning: "What Have You Done for Me Lately", "When I think of You". I am not so interested in these basic videos which are filmed in a cafeteria or somewhere like that place. It is good that there's that kind of master pieces like "The Pleasure Principle", "Black Cat", "Nasty", "Runaway", "Escapade", and "That's the Way Love Goes". They are very good videos! I like them! They are also very good music tracks! The track list: 1. What Have You Done For Me Lately 2. Nasty 3. When I Think Of You 4. Control 5. Let's Wait Awhile 6. The Pleasure Principle 7. Miss You Much 8. Rhythm Nation 9. Escapade 10. Alright 11. Come Back To Me 12. Black Cat 13. Love Will Never Do (Without You) 14. That's The Way Love Goes 15. Whoops Now 16. Runaway 17. Runaway Documentary I have to say: If you like the new single tracks, you will probably like these tracks also. Janet hasn't changes so much during the years. The videos are quite s*xy, especially "Nasty". I can almost promise it! The tracks "Control" and "ComeBack to Me" are also very good music tracks!

Rating: Summary: Classic Review: The VHS of Design of a Decade is classic. All the videos included in the package are excellent. Janet is one of the best performers out there, with her music, she also makes some of the best videos with her dancing and everything. Highlights include the fun "Runaway", the tight groove "Rhythm Nation", the solo dancing "Pleasure Principal", the beautiful "Come Back To Me, the anthem "Nasty", the hit "Love Will Never Do (Without You)", and many others. They are all awesome!
Rating: Summary: now this is the janet we all know and love..... Review: this complimation DVD is great!!! it has most of all her videos in the 80s and most of her early 90s hits.... janet is a video star...
what held me back on a perfect score was that they dont have one of my favourite videos by janet 'twenty foreplay'... i like this video because she reminded me of a dorthy dandridge in the video.... at least janet pays homeage to the original divas before her.... we dont get that luxary because people are just taking beats left and right and there is not originality anymore...
to sum it up... janet is original and i will look past her latest album and i know she could do way better....
Rating: Summary: Janet's A&M Video Collection. Review: This DVD features every video from "What Have You Done For Me Latley" to "Runaway". The videos and songs show Janet's growth from the sister of Michael Jackson to a mega star of her own doing. The videos are weird to see the fashions but the hold up well. To the movie house fanasty of "Nasty" to the black and white of "Let's Wait awhile" to the freak show of "Escapade" to the big dance /production extravaganzas of "When I Think Of You" and "Alright" through the military vibe of "Rhythm Nation" the videos showcase her and the music. Best videos to me are the longer version of "Control","Miss You Much" and the laid back "That's The Way Love Is " which features Jennifer Lopez in a cameo. Hopefully Virgin will release a new dvd with songs from "If" to "Son Of A Gun" or whatever else is released.
Rating: Summary: No DVD Collection Is Complete Without Review: This DVD version is identical to the original release of DOAD in 1995. Since it's not yet released in the UK, I bought the US Version (which moreover has a different cover to the video cover). The DVD contains all the ground-breaking videos off Janet's Control & Rhythm Nation albums, plus Runaway & That's The Way Love Goes. What is amazing about this DVD is that it chronicles the exceptional contribution that JJ has made to the MTV era, from the streetwise dance of Nasty (still one of her best) to the euphoric street carnival of When I Think of You & to JJ's solo dance routine in The Pleasure Principal. Then came Rhythm Nation, a veritable candy store of musical & visual styles. From the ground-breaking chair routine of Miss You Much to the live! experience of Black Cat & the ultra-sexy Love Will Never Do, JJ captures the screen with her effervesence, beauty & exceptional dancing ability. Forever my idol, this DVD will make you appreciate not only the brilliance of DVDs but the briliance of Ms Jackson
Rating: Summary: design of a great career Review: this is a collection of music videos from janet jackson in her prime and at her creative peak. I only wish more videos from the janet album were featured and that miss you much was extended, but I know that this is representative of mostly her A&M work and barely her Virgin work. My favourite videos are nasty, control, pleasure principle and all the videos from rhythm nation as well as the multicultural runaway. Get it today and see what janet did before britney and those kids came along
Rating: Summary: Great Video Collection Review: This is a great DVD for anyone to have. The cover feature a wonderful picture of Janet laughing that beautiful smile. The DVD feature all the videos (excluding 24play, which only had a video released in Europe). It also features the video for Whoops Now, which was not included on the US version of the Design CD, but was on the Import version. There is also a making of for the Runaway video. Navigation is very simple, and the main menu, chapter, and special feature screens are nice, featuring clips of the videos while you make your choice. Great DVD for any collection; be it for a Janet fan or just a music person.
Rating: Summary: Love Her, Love The DVD Review: This is a great look at JANET JACKSON. You get all the music videos from CONTROL (1986) and RHYTHM NATION (1989). But only one video from JANET (1993). We are missing "If", "Again", "You Want This", "Anytime, Anyplace", & "Because Of Love", plus "Twenty Foreplay" from the DESIGN OF A DECADE CD. I hope it will all be featured in another DVD Release with all the videos from the albums: THE VELVET ROPE, ALL FOR YOU, & the upcoming 2004 Release. "Design Of A Decade" is great, JANET JACKSON is a beautiful and excellent performer, and most importantly - Her music is good!!
