Rating: Summary: Good Collection Of Massive's Video's Review: This is an awesome collection of all of Massive's Videos, but like the package says it's just Eleven Promos nothing more.Just a simple menu and Play. That said it's cool to see the old videos that you wouldn't be able to see anywhere else. Most of the videos are bizarre and really make no sense but somehow they go with the songs. The unreleased Angel video is cool but has nothing to do with the song, like all the other videos but I geuss it's meant not to be understood. The Teardrop video is probably the best video concept I have ever seen(Baby singing to mother in the womb), It's worth the purchase just for that video. Some of the videos(Inertia Creeps,Angel,Protection) I had to watch a couple of times to figure out. But all in all this is a must have for any Massive Attack Fan.But What I'd really like to see is a concert dvd,but well what can you do.
Rating: Summary: Simply Amazing... Review: Within the past year, I was introduced to all sorts of new music. I stuck mainly to the rap/hip-hop scene, but some other songs caught my attention. Indie, Trip-Hop, Trance...all sorts. However, three groups caught me off guard. After hearing Tricky's "Overcome" I knew I had to get more. Portishead, Massive Attack and Tricky blew my mind. I was a Portishead fan, then a Tricky fan, always leaving Massive Attack in last place. But then I began getting into their songs and I fell in love.I bought this DVD after my love for Massive Attack reached it's peak. I had no idea who these people were and what kind of things ran through their imaginations, so I figured I'd give it a try (and it's a low price...). I got the CD, popped it into my DVD player and began watching. I thought I had hit the center of pothead land. The videos were confusing and disturbing. I saw every video once, then put it away for a few days. I just wasn't into it. Later, my brother comes home and I decide to let him watch the videos...so he can judge on his own. After second viewing, I began to understand. I figured out who these people were...what they were thinking...why they made these videos. These aren't the normal MTV music videos with cars, gold chains and people dancing around like a bunch of ... animals. This is art. These music videos are for anyone. Young to old. I, myself, am 15 and was a bit surprised at the nudity in one of the videos. However, as you would imagine, I enjoyed it and moved on to the next video. A great DVD all 'round. No extras, however, and nothing but a menu to the songs. A must buy for ANY Massive Attack fan.
