Summary: METALLICA LIVE!!!!!!
Review: This is the best performance I have seen in years. I didn't quite understand the opener "So What", being the cover that it was, it just seemed worng. Eventhough we hear an early riff from "Bad Seed" on ReLoad, I would have thought that they would have started with an original. But hey, Metallica has ALWAYS done the "Politically Incorrect thing" so it was cool. I have all of the vid releases and some "not so legal" bootlegs. 45 to be exact. Isham did a much better job with this one than "Live Shit",by not using that stupid visiual effect seen thruout the San Diego show from "Live Sh*t" Metallica is back, live on the stage. "Master of Puppets" was excellent, even if it was only about 5 min of the song. You ain't got it? GET IT!!!!! If youre a dweeb, GET IT AND A LIFE!!!!

Summary: Metallica's latest is quite a nice marketing "Stunt"
Review: While I generally loathe live music concerts captured on video, this particular endeavor from the ever famous San Francisco quartet delivers more than expected. Being the consumate 'Tallica Head that I am, my opinion is biased, however, this DVD is almost perfect. The sound is incredible in digital stereo, the picture is sharper than anything you will see on VHS, and the flexibility of the DVD media allows you to stop or start the concert at any point you wish. The only complaint I have is that the touted "extra features" were not quite "extra" in Metallica Terms. This DVD would probably have been much better if it wasn't being rushed for the Holidays. Less emphasis on proper marketing, and more emphasis on quality is not something one expects from Metallica, but this DVD does show some evidence of corporate greed.

Summary: Most kickin' concert footage I have ever seen
Review: I saw the concert in Ames, IA of the same year and I thought it was the best show ever. The DVD version of this concert is amazing. Very cool when viewed on a PC with large screen and good sound. Highly recommended.

Summary: Metallica does it again... No words !!!
Review: This is fantastic, the best metal band in the world plus this new thing called DVD, the result is this amazing video that breaks with everything that I have seen from them for long ago. Maybe the Load tour was not the best of their career, I think this video should be in every Metalli'fan's shelve, so, this is it !!! You won't be disspointed.

Summary: Was actually at the taping of this show... wow! the memories
Review: I was at the May 10th show. If you look real close you can see me... LOL Of all the video footage i have of Metallica concerts, this DVD-version is amazing. It's more like you're on stage with them as opposed to sitting watching them. Only bad thing is that the extra-footage isn't quite that great. I was hoping it would be more like the "A Day in the life of...Metallica" videos.

Summary: Music sent to the 5.1th dimension
Review: What else is there to say. Metallica is the biggest band of the 90's and the DVD has the biggest sound the band has to offer. If you have a DVD and you like Metallica, well, you know what to do. The video also has plenty of bonus materials to check out, including 1000 photos from the tour. When listening to music in dolby digital it makes you wander how long CD's will last, the sound is just simply awesome for a live show.Totally surrounded by the music, well can I say it, yes it sounds better than actually being at the show.

Summary: Earth-shaking. Overwhelimingly vast in all areas.
Review: You really don't have to be fan of metallica to enjoy this video because in the end it is just superb rock and roll. Everyone keeps saying that this concert seems "unreahearsed". What? if anything i'm amazed about how familiar and comfortable they are with every song they play and is it me or is there a massive, pre-rehearsed stage explosion at the end (sorry to give it away but its just too good)? You don't have to be a musician to see these guys are flawless at what they do. I was simply blown away by Kirk Hammets screeching guitar. He's playing like, a zillion notes a second yet he doesn't even have to think about it. James hetfields volcals are superb too. Those "flaws" people keeps noticing are deliberate, he's just messing around with his voice. The audience are great, simply RABID! There is a hilarious moment when Lars Ulrich crouches on the end of the edge of the stage and simply stares at them with a wide-eyed expression.

But anyway, the message is simple: if you wanna rock out or just see a great concert, buy this DVD... or may the metal gods have mercy on your soul!
