Rating: Summary: FIRST TRUE ARTIST SINCE CLAPTON, QUEEN, BEATLES, ELTON J,... Review: It is true, like it says on the booklet "Europe's finest entretainer croon the world's most romantic tunes in England's loveliest concert hall".
So for those of us RW fans, you just want to know if the DVD was well produced. YES. EXCELLENT PICTURE AND SOUND QUALITY. BEAUTIFUL EXTRAS.
For the rest, the first two paragraphs are, once again, true, so you will not only love the DVD, but also turn into a RW fan.
Documented proof that RW is the best and most elegant voice in the world. Try the other side of RW as well and you'll love it(rock dj,etc...). Best in the world.
I just want to make a brief comment of the title for my review: Clapton, Queen, Beatles, Elton John, Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley, Beach Boys, Rolling Stones, were true artists who did it all, genius that had real talent, invented, composed, innovated, expressed feelings thru their music, ones with voice and others with instruments, by marvelous tunes & lyrics, and now ROBERT PETER WILLIAMS. Not like most artists of today, who are just "industry products", you know, just explode a "pretty face", throw it to the respective male and female markets and that's it. I truly recommend the aforementioned artists, of whom I am Fan,and see what I mean. I'm 25, obviously they're not from my era, but a true artist influence is always fresh and lasts forever.
Rating: Summary: Nobody does it better! Review: Having had the pleasure of living in England for three years, I enjoyed all of the wonderful musicians this country has to offer. Robbie is by far one of the most talented performers of our generation. He has a range of musical talent that can only remind us of the great Frank Sinatra. Whether its pop, rock or the swing, you'll never be disappointed with an RW performance! I had the pleasure to see this show on TV in England and was moved beyond beleif when I saw the talent this one man has. He can run the show all on his own and leave the audience spellbound. I have purchased every DVD I can get my hands on now that I moved back to the states. Wake up America! You have no idea what you are missing!!
Rating: Summary: Unlucky for USA. Review: USA will never embrace Robbie Williams - but I hope I will be proven wrong! The general taste of the kind of music USA consider 'good' is CRAP! Look at what they have in their market today! They act all prissy and call Robbie crude, and Britney, Christina and Justin are saints then? Moreover, these so-called top talents are just pretending to be who they aren't! Pretending to act adult and bad.... If Robbie is crude, at least it's because he is! HA HA!
RW, you are THE MAN all over the world - nuff said. You don't need to conquer the blind (and deaf) fool! Stuff them!
Rating: Summary: Rob sings with his eyes - this DVD is captivating Review: Rob does not try to be The Ratpack and imitate their style and voices but does an outstanding RW tribute. This is a fabulous DVD that is more enjoyable each time you watch it. Rob really does sing through his eyes. His eyes reflect all his emotions. He is a great artist with a great voice that one can clearly hear and appreciate on this DVD.
He is also very charismatic and knows how to captivate an audience. This is also evident on the Knebworth DVD.
Get this DVD -- and the CD --with all his ballads--his versatility will surprise you if all you've listened to are his pop rock songs. Besides his talent he is very sexy and has the sexiest laugh lines. Beautiful man.
I can't get enough of Rob. Why not the USA? What's up with our radio stations not wanting to promote his music.
Rating: Summary: the most handsome man Review: once again, Robbie Williams will surprise you with his beauty, with his excellent talent!, Robbie Williams is loved by me, he is wanted by me, he is all i need. so, i recommend you buy this dvd with 5.1 dolby. he appears like a formal guy but his show will make everyone stand up from their seats, Robbie come to Lima,Peru i'm waiting for you!
Rating: Summary: Robbie concert review Review: I have to say that I agree with the critics on this one. His vocals are just simply not good enough. This is evident from the first song Mrs. Jones to the final song My Way. Even the biggest Robbie fan must admit that he cannot handle this genre of music as it is out of his range (and ability). Can anyone truly say that he is a very talented singer?Buy his other albums instead. They suit his singing ability a lot more and give him the chance to show that he is a decent pop star. He is not a superstar though as some people have made out.
Rating: Summary: America needs to discover ROBBIE WILLIAMS! Review: Earlier I saw on this page where someone asked why America has not fallin' in love with the Sassie-Brit like the UK has....I'll tell you why. It's becasue he is a Sassie-Brit! If you are a music lover, you will love this DVD/CD. Big band entertainment at its best! It even includes a special "The Day Job" short featurette showcasing Robbie's "other" job singing rock-coliseum Pop tunes to a sea of people across the U.K. I know he'll never do a concert in the US...but I hope to one day step foot in the UK for no other reason but a chance to see him LIVE. the Jazz standards are awesome - and the humor is plentiful. another reason I can see why the US has not embraced him is the occasional "F" word and comments about behavior that main stream Americans aren't quite ready for.....but it's a shame. I've fallin in love with Robbie's passion for music and his performance. INCREDIBLE!
