The video quality is spectacular and the DTS sound is simply amazing in its ability to put you in the audience. This is one video concert you will never tire of watching, or listening to. Summary: Timeless harmonies and musical talent abound!
Review: A great entertaining look at one of the best bands in the land. Overlooked and under appreciated, The Eagles still have all of the great talent to release chills and goose bumps when listening to their music. This video is a great look at how the band brings it all together to put on an outstanding show. You get the appreciation for their hours of rehearsal and attention to detail...the sense that they want to truly put forth their best effort and not settle for some sloppy feable attempt. Old classics are blended with new works, once again show-casing the band's wonderful harmonies. They may not be living life quite as fast as Life in the Fast Lane, but one thing remains for certain: The Eagles' music will go out of style when "Hell Freezes Over."

Summary: STUNNING video!!!
Review: WOW!!!

Did you ever ask, "Why would you want to watch a DVD on a computer?" This is why. Maybe some TVs can reproduce the video resolution of this DVD, but my Sony-based Apple monitor does far better than my JVC TV. I've never noticed much of a difference before this DVD.

Buy it for the classic (and new) Eagles music, but I think you'll be blown away by the video on your computer's monitor!

Summary: extreme mellowness
Review: The music in the concert, filmed in April of 1994, is lovely and exquisitely performed, but somewhat underwhelming in its presentation.
The strength of the Eagles is in their wonderful songs and masterful musicianship, but anyone looking for a razzle-dazzle performance should look elsewhere; these are laid back performers to the point of sometimes being as exciting as watching a CD spin. It would have helped had they ditched the stools for the first 6 songs, varied the lighting a bit in the middle section, which is cast in an almost steady dark blue, and mixed in a few up-tempo songs, instead of the first 12 selections being of approximately the same speed and mood; it picks up with last 5 songs starting with "Take it Easy", with brighter lighting and more energy projected from the musicians, and even a rousing new song, "Get Over It".

Highlights for me are a gorgeous arrangement of my favorite Eagles song, "Hotel California", "New York Minute", with its Gershwinesque string section intro and jazzy horn solo, and "Life in the Fast Lane", one of the 3 up-tempo songs.
The first 15 minutes of this film are about the preparation for this concert, and include interviews with the Eagles who are: Glenn Frey / Don Henley / Joe Walsh / Don Felder / Timothy Schmit. The sound is great and total running time is 100 minutes.
Song list:
"Hotel California"
"Tequila Sunrise"
"Help Me Through the Night"
"The Heart of the Matter"

"Love Will Keep Us Alive"
"Learn to be Still"
"Pretty Maids All on a Row"
"The Girl from Yesterday"
"Wasted Time"
"I Can't Tell You Why"
"New York Minute"
"The Last Resort"
"Take it Easy"
"Life in the Fast Lane"
"In the City"
"Get Over It"
"Desperado"

Summary: Lots of missing songs
Review: The best song on this DVD is Joe Walsh`s "Help me through the night"...other wise this show is a bomb... I love the Eagles but they left so much off this DVD, I wanted to hear "best of my love"...nope, wanted to hear 'New kid in town", nope.... jesus, what songs did they do??? Don Henley solo matreial, what??????????????????????????????????? this is THE EAGLES!!!!! not the Don Henley solo show..... Tequila Sunrise was great, Hotel California was great.... etc...... "Take it easy" was great, I think this DVD was a compromise for Don Henley, if he was going to play with these guys he wanted to plug his tunes.....otherwise he wouldnt have done it, theres history here folks.....Don Henley and Glenn Frey do not get along ..god knows why, can anybody answer that???? what happened between these guys????
They wrote some great songs, what could have driven these 2 guys so far apart??? was it egos???? god, hope not.... anyways, good DVD but so mcuh left off........, oh well, "Get over it boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"like songs says.......
