Rating: Summary: Very Disappointed Review: I thought the sound engineering of this DVD was the worst I ever heard. I tried both DTS and Dolby 5.1, both were totally under-whelming. The separation is poor, even the frequency response is poor. I have cassette tapes that sound better. This is not what I buy music on DVD for. I am very happy with the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, etc. But Queen totally disappointed me.The THX introduction sound bite was impressive, the DVD was not. Too bad, it seemed like a nice concert, and a good performance by the talent. Bad sound engineering.
Rating: Summary: I loved it, you will too Review: I *love* this DVD. It features Freddie and the gang, rocking and jamming, and is an incredible show. Brian, Roger and John all have terrific set pieces in this video where they strut their stuff, but if you REALLY want to see strutting, get this thing and watch Freddie. Absolutely amazing - from one hit, to the next, to the next, to the next, Freddie sings, dances, prances, poses, strides, flirts, shudders and gives a mezmerizing, marathon performance until the very end, when he has nothing left to give. You can hear his voice finally buckling under the strain in the last song. Thrilling and touching, this performance is a smash! I enjoy this DVD again and again, and I think you will too. GET IT.
Rating: Summary: A must have for the Queen fan Review: Worth the price alone for the footage of "Love of My Life". Buy this one if you like Queen.
Rating: Summary: Queen - We Will Rock You (DTS) - Recommended!! Review: This is the DVD, probably the best live recordings of Queen ever made. Excellent quality with their best songs that just bring you back to the days of glam and stadium rock--almost like being there. Couldn't recommend it more...
Rating: Summary: Queen fan must buy this DVD Review: The quality of video and sound of this DVD is unbeatable. The package looks cheap, though. I surely buy it again if I lost it.
Rating: Summary: QUEEN ROCKS !!!! Review: One of the greatest bands of all time, QUEEN here is in one of the best concerts when they where in top of their career, circa 1984. It contains all the major hits fromo "Bohemian Rhapsody" to "Another One bites the dust", too bad they missed some late 80's hits like "Hammer to Fall" or "Radio Ga Ga" but overall is a great DVD with some cool extras like trivia and pictures.
Rating: Summary: Queen fans must have it.... Review: It is true that on the first part of the DVD you can feel that the audiance is not in the "highest mood", but later they are getting warmed up. Apart from all, the band ROCKS!! The sound quality is excellent! It is not the best to watch it on a small screen tv though. I fired up a projector for it. The wall size screen and the speakers around truly can make you feel you are on a live concert. It worth every cents! I can't wait to see the DVD version of the "Queen in Budapest", I hope it is comiong soon... unfortunately it is only available in England, and my DVD player was purchased in America. God will bless those stupid [people] who created region codes... :(
Rating: Summary: Beware. Seriously Bad Quality Review: Please be aware that this is a live recording and the sound quality/mix is very poor. Even staying on key was not nowhere near what one would have expected from Queen. Freddie is also nowhere near his normal best and struggled to keep and reach certain notes. The person/persons that did the mix for the 5.1 surround sound was not at all successful and the second last track is atrocious. I was severly disappointed.
Rating: Summary: The screen resolution is way lower than I spected Review: There's no such a big difference watching between the old VHS version of this concert in Montreal and this dvd. Although some Queen fans could apreciate the additional features such the places concerning this group.
Rating: Summary: JUST BUY IT !!!!!!!!! WOW !!!!!!! Review: I got this today and just finished watching it. It is truly awesome Queen! What makes it so phenominal is the simplicity of the effects (simple lights) and the true focus of raw energy coming from what they did best. Freddie's vocals are awe inspiring at points and even the sound flaws in the mixing here and there, make the expierience all the better. I cranked it up on the surround sound with a 65" High Def. Wide Screen. I felt like I was there and I remembered what it was like when bands counted only on themselves to spark a crowd. If you are a Queen fan, do yourself the favor and get this now! The perks are too numerous to count, but there is a pretty nice bivy of extra features as well.
