Summary: Great footage
Review: A must for any Stones fan, as no other DVD gives us the band in so many varied settings.

To Mott who won't forgive them for not playing in Bangkok, blame Tero Entertainment and the Aviation Authority of Thailand, not the Stones. I heard the whole story from the Stones road manager for that tour, who is an acquaintance of mine.

On the night the band was supposed to fly from Bombay to Bangkok -- two nights before their engagement at Impact - the AA refused landing rights with no explanation. Then the following night, when landing rights were granted - just one night before the concert -- a cargo truck ran into their plane on the runway in Bombay. Needless to say, there was no way to make the gig in time.

When the Stones management asked to re-schedule the concert for any night the following week, Tero declined. When the Stones came to Hong Kong the following October, they tried to re-schedule again, and again Tero declined.

So one strike against the Aviation Authority of Thailand and two against Tero. No fault of the Stones. Mick decided to come to Bangkok anyway and ended up spending 10 days in Thailand ...

The Forty Licks tour was probably their last, which makes this DVD even more important.

Summary: WOW!
Review: all i have to say is wow! one reveiw said that the band was sluggish but when you hear "Midnight Rambler" in Madison Square Garden and "Honky Tonk Women" in the England concert, sluggish is the last word that comes to mind. it's hard to find a favorite concert from the selection. the documentry is outstanding and the stones play one of b.b. king's classics "Rock Me Baby" under bootlegs on the first disc. i never liked blues to much but keith is amazing in that song. bottom line, they band is better than ever, the sound is better than ever, and these concerts are better than any other.

Summary: fantastic
Review: bravo to mick and the boys. i really love the madison disc. the first time i saw it, it really blows me away. i've never been to a stones concert before. but, by watching the discs i felt that i was watching them live!. the sound is really is fantastic. you can hear keith richards guitars very clearly. the duet with sherly crow was really a gem. the picture quality was amazing too. i'm a dvd concert collector, beside the eagles dvd, this dvd set is among the best i have seen. the documentary disc was great too. keep it up mick.

Summary: 100% Kick Ass Rock & Roll!!
Review: Even if you're a casual fan of the "Stones", Get this set!! Well worth the $$$ even if it were only a CD set. Picture quality is excellent, and the sound, especially the 5.1 Surround, is beyond excellent! I was lucky enough (and rich enough,LOL) to catch the Boston leg of this tour, and the DVD is almost as good as being there. One word of advice tho.. invite your neighbors to watch with you,, it sounds great at "normal" levels,, but PHENOMINAL when cranked!!!

Summary: 40 años de historia.......o de rock n rollllllll....=)

Summary: Finally!
Review: Finally, a Rolling Stones dvd. I haven't seen many except for the unauthorized box set which had no Stones music, so this is a nice change. Great concerts especially New York. Definetly a good DVD worth every penny!
