Rating: Summary: It was incredible! Review: Thanks Britney for producing a DVD like this !! I thought that was one of the most important works that britney has already done. The perfomance in Hawaii was pretty beautiful and the comedies too. I just thought that britney should include the "don't let me be the last to know" video. Anyway I liked that so much. I bought that last on August and i couldn't put it down! Hope everybody enjoy it!
Rating: Summary: Britney's best homevideo! Review: "Britney Spears - Live And More" is a must have video or DVD for all Britney fans. It starts off where "Time Out With Britney" has left off, a little bit. This DVD features Britney's TV special performance in front of tons of fans in Hawaii. She performs about 8 or 10 of her songs. This DVD also features the full-length versions of three music videos from her sophomore album, "Oops!...I Did It Again" inlcuding: "Stronger", "Lucky", and "Oops!...I Did It Again". It would have been better to also add the video for "Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know", but that music video came out after this DVD did so they couldn't add it on. Then, there's also clips and snipets of Britney hosting "Saturday Night Live" and some of her skits on the show, as well. This is a very excellent homevideo from Britney Spears. It's better than "Time Out With Britney". I really recommend this DVD to anyone who's a fan of Britney!
Rating: Summary: Great for the Britney fan! Review: You'll see her awesome perfomance in Hawaii. You'll see her classic videos for "Oops!...I Did It Again, Stronger, and Lucky. I have prevously seen the performance in Hawai, so I liked watching it again. The only setback was that "Baby One More Time" was out and "Oops!" hadn't been released yet. That means most songs were from "Baby" instead of "Oops" That was fine though. The sketches from SNL were awesome, especially "Morning latte". Overall, this is an awesome vid for the fan of Britney.
Rating: Summary: Britney "Did it again!" Review: I really enjoy the Britney DVD. My favorite part is how you can do a video jukebox and pick songs from her concert or videos and they will play in any order you chose or just have it where the DVD will pick and play them in a different order from the normal program. The only thing I didn't like was the Saturday Night Live clips. I'm glad I got to see them once but I never watch them now. They are boring. Also I liked how she spent time in Hawaii with swimming with dolphins and etc. The scenery was gorgeous and I liked seeing her personality come through the segments. Overall I love this video and watch it or just listen to the concert music on the DVD very often. I think she sings great on it.
Rating: Summary: Improved 2nd Britney DVD Review: "Live and More" is a vast improvement from the earlier, "Time Out with Britney Spears" in that LAM seems to have been put together with the DVD format in mind whereas T.O. has more of a VHS to DVD feel to it. Consider the following:*Lots more info packed in LAM: selections from a concert in Hawaii, short segments on Spears' adventures around the area, bits from Saturday Night Live, and 3 new music videos to pick from. *Sparkling image and sound quality: all the more for enjoying Ms. Spears' new glossy, high-budget videos and 20+ cameramen concert crew. *Lacking, however, are the behind-the-scene footage and interviews that were on "T.O." Lets be honest, its fun to see Ms. Spears enjoying herself with her friends, dancers, and bodyguards, but its a little artificial. I'm sure alot of fans would like to see a professional interview with Ms. Spears that doesn't involve questions written for her by her PR people (as in "T.O."). Britney fans will really love this DVD. 5 stars out of 5.
Rating: Summary: good music, so-so voice Review: This is a very good Britney Spears DVD with live music and videos. The only bad thing about it is that Britney really can't sing. You won't notice it on her regular audio CD because she sings with a slew of backup singers so that her voice is somewhat drowned with those people who CAN sing. But this DVD is Dolby 5.1 digital audio, and her voice is right smack on the center channel. If you increase the center channel volume, her voice really stands out, and you'll discover that even though Britney makes really good music, her voice doesn't give her music justice. Overall, however, if you need to get a Britney DVD, this is the one to get.
Rating: Summary: "American Beauty Syndrome" Review: I love this video. Britney in all her glory, you won't be dissapointed. Something I want to point out. #1 This girl causes grown men to have American Beauty Syndrome. ( see the review by the man from L.A. and you'll know what I mean! He watches this alone at night, trust me.) #2 Briney is not a role model for your teen. Even though she denies it, she has implants. I'm from California, Britney, girls like you grow on trees here and I can spot implants 100 miles away. #3 I encourage you to read the review by the person in Seattle because they hit it dead on when they point out the whole Capitalist aspect of this chick. Seattle rules! So, I recommend this video to middle aged guys who are trying to recapture that hormonal feeling they had before they met their wives. Look at your wife, then look at this video.....American Beauty Syndrome will hit you baby one more time!
Rating: Summary: Oops, I Listened To It Again, and Again, and Again! Review: I'll admit it. I'm a big fan of Britney Spears! It happened from taking my daughter to see Britney's 2000 concert tour (upon which this DVD is based), and from listening to Britney's CD's (and my daughter's other favorite artists) on various driving vacations taken over the last few years with my family. (Needless to say, I'm also a fan of 'N Sync, the Backstreet Boys and Christina Aguilera.) Even though I bought this DVD as a birthday present for my daughter, I find myself watching and listening to it as much as she does. And since I had just acquired a new DVD player, I was also looking for an excuse to teach my (very tech-savvy) daughter how to use it. She and I both love this DVD. She loves the vignettes of Britney playing with dolphins and learning how to hula. We enjoy the Saturday Night Live episodes that Britney hosted, the best segment being a skit entitled, "Britney Judges Dance Tryouts" which parodies her songs, "Oops I Did It Again," and "...Baby One More Time" in a manner which leaves my entire family in stitches. But, of course, we both love the music. (For me, being a big dance music fan, Britney is simply this generation's standard bearer taking over for Madonna, Janet Jackson and Paula Abdul in both tunes and actions. Britney's ballads are also good too.) My daughter and I especially like the video jukebox which allows us to arrange the concert songs and music videos in our own customized sets for playing. My daughter has her own favorite mix, but I always order the songs with "You Drive Me Crazy" in the beginning (which is the concert's opening song), with "Sometimes" (my favorite), "Lucky," and "Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know" in the middle, finishing with "Stronger," "Born To Make You Happy" and, at last, "...Baby One More Time" (which is the concert's closing number). The production of each live performance video was well edited using a variety of camera angles to capture the dancing (which was outstanding), the audience interaction, the stunning Waikiki beach setting, and, of course, Britney in all of her youthful beauty. Watching this DVD was like having the best seat in the house, and it rekindles for my daugher and I the fun we had as a family at Britney's concert. (I normally enjoy my customized set by wearing my cordless 900 mhz stereo headphones, turning off the TV's speakers, and listening to the music while I work or lounge around the house as if I were using a Walkman -- except I can choose which songs to listen to and in what order. I listen to CD's in my DVD player the same way. Isn't technology wonderful?) Britney's "Live and More!" DVD is a must own for any Britney Spears fan as it will provide hours of listening -- and viewing -- enjoyment? Buy it for your daughter (or niece or grand daughter). But don't be surprised -- if you like it too!
Rating: Summary: Britney mimes on her own DVD! Review: Britney has defended herself many times that she doesn't mime onstage. Then why put her MIMED Hawaii performance onto her own DVD!? This is such a shame as Britney can sing great live, her recent pay-per-view London concert proves that, and would have made for a much better substitute for inclusion on this DVD than the 8 song Hawaii concert performance. Perhaps this was Jive Records' decision for audio perfection. (And if anyone protests that she doesn't mime here, then try playing back the CD versions of the songs at exactly the same time with the DVD Hawaii song versions, and you will notice her vocal phrasings are EXACTLY the same) 1 star for the up-close and personal Britney footage that hasn't been shown on TV. And though the 3 videos (Oops!..., Lucky & Stronger) and the hilarious 'Saturday Night Live' footage look great on this DVD, it has been seen before and only gets 1 more star. I do feel very strongly against miming, have no time for it, and i think it has really let this 'potentially great' DVD down big time. But for those fans who aren't fussed about Britney's miming (or can't even tell), then this DVD is fun viewing.
Rating: Summary: Wow! A great DVD from an even better artist! Review: I have to say I bought this just cuz I never get tired of Britney's music videos, and after they leave MTV i still want to be able to see them. This DVD contains threee of her BEST videos in superb quality plus an awesome performance from Hawaii. She sounds great on this one folks! This DVD has constatnly been in my player, and it is perfect for parties and stuff- that might sound odd but it is really fun! Plus her SNL skits are a must in the collection of evey fan, so I would definitley recommend this video to any fan. However, you should obviously be a fan if you want to but this, and if you are, you won't be disappointed!
