Summary: One of my fave music dvd's
Review: What a great DVD! I've never seen an Avril Lavigne concert before buying this DVD, but now I can't wait for her to tour again, because she's great. She sings live throughout, and puts on an excellent performance. Even more amazing when you consider that she's still a teenager!. The concert is filled with energy, and you'll soon be cranking up the volume on your tv. Of course it helps that the only album's worth of material she has out, is brilliant to start off with. There are no "fillers" on the "Let go" album, so not surprisingly Avril performs the entire album here. All of your favorites are here, from the massive hit "Complicated" to an acoustic version of "Tomorrow". On top of the album tracks, there are also some more great songs, including "I don't give", "Knockin' on heaven's door" and a fantastic cover of Green Day's hit "Basketcase". The concert lasts for about 70 minutes, is a sheer joy to watch from start to finish.As if that wasn't enough, there are also some other awesome extras that make this a must-have DVD!. Firstly you get all of Avril's music videos, a great 40 min (approx) behind-the-scenes documentary following her around on tour, some outtakes, a photo gallery, AND a 6-track audio cd!. What more could you ask for?. This DVD/CD release is amazing value for money. Its great that Arista have put everything a fan could want onto one DVD, rather than trying to make more money by releasing the music videos separately on another DVD or something. For me this is worth the money just for the concert itself, so everything else is a great bonus. With a superb debut album and now DVD under her belt, I can't wait for Avril's next album.

Review: I've been looking forward to this DVD for so long (as I'm a BIG fan of Avril Lavigne) and I watched it last night, I was far from disapointed, the DVD is gr8!, it includes the "Try To Shut Me Up Tour" at Buffalo New York, "Avril's Cut" (behind-the-scenes) Outtakes, Photo Gallery, 5 music videos (i.e., "Complicated," "I'm With You," "Knockin' On Heaven's Door," "Losing Grip" and "Sk8er Boi") plus an audio CD featuring "Fuel," (live) "Basketcase," "(live) "Unwanted," (live) "Sk8er Boi," (live) "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" (live) and "Why" (UK B-side) - seriously, you will NOT be disapointed with this release from Avril, I think she's amazing and will be around in years to come, go and buy it!!!

Summary: Amazing!
Review: This is an excellent DVD that depicts Avril at her best. The live concert was awesome and it blew me away at how much talent she has at performing. She can sing live like no other female artist I've seen. The behind the scenes footage shows Avril goofing around with her band, which was hilarious and shows how much fun they have while on the road. This is a must have DVD for any Avril fan.

Summary: UMMM .... I'm not sure....
Review: The best thing about Avril Lavigne is the kind of attitude she portrays. Even the way she walks screams self assurance. Dont get me wrong, her voice stands out on its own, but its her personality that I'm more impressed with. She's got that childish charm that is so appealing and she's talented, no doubt, even though she isnt as 'punk' as she claims to be. The ny concert on the dvd is definitely worth a watch, though 'avrils cut' was a thudding disappointment. I just kept hearing 'skater boy' over and over again, and I swear, I'm never listening to 'complicated' or wearing a tie, for that matter, for the rest of my life. It doesnt really have much on her life, which would've been much better, just a small piece about her room, and I have to admit, the skater girl thing is getting really old really fast. The music videos (all five of them) were a nice touch, but as someone who gets tired of watching the same videos, and having seen the videos umpteen times on tv already, it wasnt much of a thrill. The outtakes were the best, but sadly, very very short. The photo gallery isnt much to brag about, just about 28 photos. All in all, while I enjoyed certain parts of the dvd, it wasnt really up to snuff.
Okay, so this turned out more cynically than i hoped for, but whatever. I wish we could have had more of Avril and her life, instead of backstage stuff, and the concert could have done without the MTV editing. Keeping it real is sometimes better than jazzing it all up. I'm looking forward to 'under my skin', and hoping the next dvd is less of a let down than this one.

Summary: This dvd is awesome!!
Review: This dvd has really blown me away. It's not that I expected less from Avril, but I was very impressed by her talent. Now my admiration for her has grown even more. I've always thought that you know how good is an artist watching her or him performing live. And I have to say Avril rocks!! She sounds better live that in the cd. Getting to watch her full concert is a fascinating experience for me because I don't know if I'll ever get to see her live in a concert since I live in Puerto Rico. So I was really happy to watch my favorite singer performing live and playing the guitar. Moreover, the documentary is hysterical! It's good that Avril is not afraid of letting the world knows who she really is: just a normal girl who likes to have fun. Besides, the music videos, the outtakes and the cd makes this the best dvd ever. Probably 'cause it's my first one. ;) j/k I truly recommend every fan of Avril or any fan of good music to get this dvd immediately. Believe me, you won't be dissapointed. P/S: Avril's band is so funny, talented and cute. Especially the drummer Matt Brann. Damn, he's hot!!! :p

Summary: This is Anything but Ordinary!
Review: This DVD is really neat. It is of her concert in Buffalo, New York. It also includes outtakes, photos, a bonus CD, and 5 music videos! The videos are for I'm With You, Sk8er Boi, Complicated, Knockin' On Heaven's Door, and Losing Grip. (My favorite is I'm With You) The songs she performs at the concert are all 13 on her debut album, plus 'I Don't Give' 'Basketcase', and 'Knockin' On Heavens Door' making 16 songs in all. If you are jsut buying this for the bonuc Cd, it's not worth it, there are only 6 songs, 5 are live, 2 are covers, and 2 are ones on her let go CD, but otherwise, this is well worth your money. I think she is a great artist and I can't wait to hear her next album.

Review: I love avril and her bois.. i am thee biggest fan and i dont care what any1 says about me.. avril rockx. in this dvd, you'll find to see avril like you really never have before. there are outtakes which are very funny, and concert in Buffalo, and 5 music videos for compicated, sk8er boi, im with you, losing grip, and Bob dylan's "knockin on heavens door"... if you like avril or you just became a new avril fan and you wanna know more about her or just spend Sat.nights to have a laugh, get avril lavigne-my world today.. i love the cd it comes with too. it feautures 6 songs, 1997's Fuel, Basketcase, unwanted, sk8er boi, knockin on heavens door all live.. plus 1 that isn't live is avril's song why... go buy it today, cuz it's worth what you paid for.

Review: This dvd is really packed, you get alot for your money. For Avril fans such as myself you'll get to see a fairly long and I believe mostly uncut concert in Buffalo. She sounds just as great there as on the CD, only a few times where she's a bit off. In fact I loved her live version of I'm With You even more than the CD version. You also get about 5 music video's, my favorites are the video's for Complicated, I'm With You and Sk8er Boi. The video for Complicated is the best, her outfit is really cute and the guys in her band are funny. You also get a fairly lengthy behind the scenes featurette and outtakes. It's a really fun dvd, I've watched it alot and I'm still not sick of it. There's a part on the behind the scenes where she's singing on a subway voice and she sounds just as good as she does in the studio. She's a very talented teenager and I think she'll really go far. She's already been chosen to be an Olympic spokesperson I just heard and she's up for some more music awards. I can't wait for her next dvd, I hope it's as great as this one is. The concert is really the best part, hearing her sing the songs live, the energy the band has on stage, it's all great.

Review: I just finished watching this dvd and this is my review for each section... Try to Shut Me Up Tour, Buffalo NY concert (1 hour 10 minutes) - Sk8er Boi, Nobody's Fool, Mobile, Anything But Ordinary, Losing Grip, Naked, Too Much to Ask, I Don't Give, Basket Case(Green Day cover), My World, I'm With You, Complicated, Unwanted, Tomorrow, Knockin' On Heavens Door, Thing's I'll Never Say...In the performance of Complicated, Avril got two people from the audience to come onstage and sing with her. The only embarassing thing about that was when Avril let them take over the mic for a few seconds. Half of the time they didn't know the lyrics, or sang bad. Avril's cut - A few songs taken from the Tour featuring outtakes of the before and after effect ~ FUNNY!!!! Music videos - Complicated, I'm With You, Losing Grip, Sk8er Boy, Knockin' On Heaven's Door. Outtakes - Here is your chance to check out Avril and her band and see what they're like. Photo gallery - pictures of Avril and her band, and of her in concert.
